Marking on the gas cap are actually instructions: "first oil, then gas". Putting oil in the tank first will ensure it will form a uniform mix when gas is added, rushing by the oil. They thought about it, clever engineers.

dude i live in france and last sunday i saw an orange sp1000 parked up. it was the most pretty car ive ever seen! its perfect. i didnt know it was 2 stroke. if i was doing your project car id make sure the body was perfect with those same hub caps maybe on wider rims if i could get them to fit and me prsonally id put in a subaru flat four and 6 speed rear drive set up or a mazda rotary which kinda has a 2 stroke character to it . then she'd go pretty good and you wouldnt need to chop her up too much to fit.those original proportions are perfect and not to be fucked around with imho. just saying like , but havving said that it is your ride so do what you want ,thats just my take on it. i just cant get over how sweet those cars look as standard. i wish they still built cars that looked as good nowadays but we just get a bunch of ugly plastic shit mobiles that mostly look the same that is unless you blow big bucks on a ferrari or something

It’s not 1 part oil and 2 parts gas! It’s oil first and gas second so that the two fluids mix better. Typical mixtures we’re between 1:50 to 1:33. Car is 6 volts; my dad converted his Auto Union F8 to 12 volts to make it start better in the winter.

In 1959 they made 50 editions of this car with a 1280cc V6 2 stroke. Would be cool to find one.
