    1. figure out what your priority is, the most important tasks. instead of doing too much, become concise (3-4) on your goals. if i only had 2 hours a week what would i do?
    2. focus on progress
    3. bargain with yourself about what you want to do what you should do
    4. have a flexible routine
    5. just pick a thing. it is easy to doubt yourself over what youre doing but instead of overthinking something just stick to one thing for a long enough time

Valuable takeaways to be consistent: 1. Make things easy to do, 2. Acknowledge our desires but bargain with ourselves to be consistent with witty desire grants, 3. For every goals, have three high-low level of ways to achieve & maintain consistent momentum 4. Stick to one system that suits you and transform your craft better, 5. Stick to do the things and dont quit

I really like that these videos are well-credited, well organized, and well-presented. I've seen a lot of comments about how this content is repetitive, but I have been watching for years and I'm still learning a lot from these, and honestly, I'm glad these messages are reinforced, and updated with the latest publications, so I can try and continue to be consistent.

Highly recommend, and despite all the introspection and healing and growth I had tried to do by myself and with other counsellors, I did not know this existed until I found this therapist and that was her method of work.

Such a refreshing and heartening video. Thanks Ali for bringing your educated yet always relatable perspective on these topics. It really feels like a breath of fresh air amidst all the overwhelming advice out there from people like Iman Gadzhi (or Adrià Solà Pastor in the Spanish-speaking community). Not that there is no truth in what they say, for sure there is, but watching too much of their content consistently makes me feel hopeless and ashamed, while your video gave me a sense that progress is achievable and valuable. Believe it or not, I had never commented on a TH-cam video until today.

Great insights on discipline, especially the part about the Lower and higher Self. Entrepreneurs can apply this by recognizing when they're operating from a place of instant gratification and instead focusing on long-term value creation, which often requires delayed gratification and strategic planning.

Regarding #2 - I definitely feel that one. I would tell people to break down whatever you want to do into small pieces or steps, and if you're still not doing that, to just simply break down those steps into even smaller steps and eventually you can do the small things and go from there.

I couldn't agree with this more - "getting yourself to do something that you don't feel like doing" - this is life. If you push through then eventually amazing things will happen.

Thanks for sharing the ideas on higher/lower self and your example of how to "talk to" the lower self (in my case: read-stories-and-snack-for-hours-self). I'll try to implement the negotiating an compromised idea to the lower self next time!

I like Ali's content a lot, but I also like the style of Jocko and Goggins, and I ran into their content first, a few years back. I think Jocko's and Goggin's styles of focusing on discipline are very beneficial also. Sometimes you really need that not-so-friendly attitude of "take a hard look at yourself and realize that YOU are actually the problem, and now it's time to change".

Thank you for this, I tried watching that podcast and it was too long TBH! I just could not finish it. I have decided to start by doing everything at the bare minimum for 5 minutes and then building it up. I never thought it would be that easy.

There is a sort of pleasure in doing hard even if you are not feeling like it. It won't take long until Goggins mindset becomes your new norm

It's a moment that's a fraction of a sec when everything makes sense and there u are Disciplined and fullfilled like never before .

Setting a goal and know why you want to achieve that goal can go a long way setting up discipline every time you want to work towards that goal.

Can you post a video talking about drinking and doing drugs? Are you on anything? Do you go out and drink occasionally? Any nicotine?
