Do they appear in your library manager check that because if they’re not there than that installed at all. Also, did you shut start QBase down and restart it because you have to do that also.

Hey there ants, I have not heard of that happening before but I would say to try this tip that you’re looking at right here are the missing loops tip… And see if that fixes it. It can’t break anything the worst that will happen is that it will reconstruct all the loops that in fines using this tip other than that I’m not hundred percent sure what would be the problem there I have not heard of anyone’s luxe just disappearing I’ve heard of people having loops not show up that they installed but that’s possible that maybe somehow that database got damaged and cannot be recovered and it doesn’t know what to do it could’ve been one bad plug in the seas up and now the media library is all trashed so I would try deleting that file like mentioned in this video then restart to base and see if that helps
Follow this tutorial that’s what I did when I had the problem I figured this out… It still works. I don’t have any other trick that I know of at the moment, maybe contact Steinberg tech-support… Or you could jump on to club cubase live stream at 1 o’clock Eastern daylight time and ask you a question there to Greg. He’s the support guy for Steinberg. Or if you can’t get on because of the time difference, you can go to the club cubase TH-cam and there’s an email there. You can email you a question to him and he will get back to you.
Sorry to hear you’re having a problem. This tutorial still fixes the issue I want to reshoot it because CUBASE has changed slightly. But regardless this problem just happened to my software the other day, and I followed this same tutorial deleting the file as instructed and when I rebooted Cubase it had all my loops back. So just follow the tutorial it should fix your problem. I don’t know the reason it happens I just know how to fix it. That should help you out don’t forget to subscribe and let me know if you have any other problems with it I’ll take a look if there’s something else.
Hi, I have all my padshop 2 and factory content installed and registered...they show in the right media rack in cubase 11 but will not play or load. All other sound packs play and show a waveform display except the padahop2 pack and padshop factory content...they show the name of file but no display at bottom, no play, and can not drag into project or sampler. Do you have any suggestions how to fix this? Thanks for sharing all your ideas and help.
Hey Angelina - did you try to use the steps mentioned in the video? If everything is in place, but you can't drag them into Cubase, it sounds like the problem that I was having when I created this video. Everything was showing in the library manager - but not working in Cubase. I would try to delete the files mentioned in this video - and start Cubase up (be sure it is NOT started when you delete them - Im not sure what will happen) but when you start Cubase afterward, it will take longer to startup and when you open your media browser, the tables for the database of sounds will rebuild themselves - and you should be all set. If you do this and it doesn't work - let me know and I will be glad to take a look and see if I can find anything else. You might also want to send your issue to tech support at Steinberg. I am a user just like yourself, and don't really have any connection to the company so I can kind of only diagnose and fix things I have seen myself... Please do subscribe though and even if this doesn't work I will keep looking for a solution for you and make a video as soon as I find it - subscribing will let you know when it's there.
No worries - Yeah that sounds like it might be a tech support issue I wonder if it’s something to do with the registry entry or something. I just had a bunch of that go on with my native instruments stuff had to use their special UnInstaller to clean up and reinstall my stuff it’s been a real joy 😉

It might be hidden, but I’m not giving up - I will get back to you as soon as I can with an answer. @@Cap10NRGMusic ok sussed it, basically don’t upgrade if your on silicone past Sonoma 14 or your be in a huge mess with cuebase but also other plug ins. Make sure you switch off auto updates off, it’s easy to take a back up then reinstall sonoma and put the back up back.
@libtekk yeah I don’t think that’s the problem. Personally from what I found through experimentation is that when you tried to install loops if you have other QA applications running or Steinberg applications I should say that would normally have access to those somehow they get locked. Like the database gets locked and can’t be written to while the applications are accessing that database if that makes any sense and intermittently it can cause files to not show up. The way around it that I have found has been to delete the media bay 3.DB file on windows and it should technically be the same fix for Mac, but I can’t find the file. I think it’s hidden once I find it I will let everybody know where it is. I have been looking… I spent a lot of time trying to find this too so far trying to fix this for everybody else because it’s not my issue right now you know I just wanna help you

Thnx for your prompt response Sir. But I'm facing another problem and I cannot find any solution to that. 1. Whenever I open a new project cubase 12 automatically detects my focusrite console only as as far as input connectivity is concerned. But for output I have to select my console manually as it shows " Not Connected". I have discussed the issue with some of my friends but no one could come with a fruitful result. Therefore approaching you for an assistance. Secondly kind attention is invited to the right panel of your present tutorial where some buttons appear under Media menu. Earlier when I clicked to any of the displayed items, corresponding VST icons would popped up. For example if I clicked on VST Instruments, all VSTs installed like Stylus, Kontact, Nexus were displayed as appeared in your illustration. But in my case, none of those selecting buttons are working in spite of VSTs mentioned above are installed. But if I call them from F11 or from Add Instruments Track menu, then it works perfectly. Therefore, if you can understand my problem and help me, shall be grateful to you. Subscribed your channel. Regards.

Hey there Joshkeyz - in CUBASE you need to download the loops, then execute each downloaded package from the Steinberg downloader application. After that if they are not there follow this video and it will get you set up correctly. 👍🏻
You should probably contact tech support or ask on the Live stream on TH-cam. Greg Ondo actually works for Steinberg and can get you an answer most likely. The method I have here has worked for pretty much everyone else so I’m not sure what is different in your setup, but if it were me I’d reset my pc and try my method again before starting CUBASE at all then start it only after you have deleted the files as shown in the video. Also are you sure the files were deleted? Be sure to note whether the files were actually removed. That’s all I have on this topic at the moment sorry man

Hey thank you very much! Airplane mode stops my web alerts from popping up so mostly just to keep “noise” from showing in my videos. Also yes keeping my music / video pc off the web when I don’t need access just seems like a good idea (I guess my parents really drilled - shut the lights off when you leave the room - into me lol)

Actually I am facing another issue after applying this solution. I can access the optional content now. But my 3rd party samples are showing in file browser but not in loops and samples option. It was showing up before this

Which version of CUBASE? When you delete to file and restart CUBASE it should rebuild the data table. Did you do it with CUBASE active? If so you should shut it down first then start it after deleting the file. Also Mac or Windows? Sorry my brain is all over the place
Hi. I am having this problem. I did what you say and it shows all the folders in loops and samples but none of the folders have any content. I do use Nuendo so just go to the nuendo 12 64 folder to remove db files. Any ideas?
I have solved this: When I went into media bay after following your instructions and no content appeared in the loops and samples/pro sound effects folder . You need to press the 'reset attribute folder' button which is on the same row as the 'All Media Types' dropdown menu. I pressed this and the content appeared.

I too am using Nuendo but in the loops and samples I get the folders showing, but no content. ie audio files in Pro Sound Effects
Close nuendo and follow this tutorial then tester nuendo. It does work from what I can tell

hi, now cubase 14 pro not work!
CUBASE 14 came out less than a week ago, try reinstalling it - I guess I have not tried this out on CB14

Hi. I am having this problem. I did what you say and it shows all the folders in loops and samples but none of the folders have any content. I do use Nuendo so just go to the nuendo 12 64 folder to remove db files. Any ideas?
I have solved this: When I went into media bay after following your instructions and no content appeared in the loops and samples/pro sound effects folder . You need to press the 'reset attribute folder' button which is on the same row as the 'All Media Types' dropdown menu. I pressed this and the content appeared.
