    How to make Reason to send midi to another Daw like cubase which Cubase can receive from reason???? Is it possible??????

    • @Cap10NRGMusic
      @Cap10NRGMusic 15 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      If you want to use reason as the sequencer, why would you want to send aCubase? Just curious because the plug-ins you would use in CUBASE are mostly VST‘s anyway and would work in reason. If you just want to be able to have part of a project in Cuba and have it play along with reason… You could do that still by having a multi midi interface and sending a signal from a hardware mapped midi controller from reason to Q base on a separate midi controller that was not mapped to Q base if that makes sense… You might be able to get something like hubis loopback device also which would allow you to do something like that on a PC. If you’re using a Mac, I think you might be able to do it. It might be a virtual way to map the two to each other so that it looks like each one is connected by a midi wire. That way you can send the clock and the start from reason to base and key base would just be treated like it was an instrument.

      Thanks believe it or not. It’s not a very expensive camera. It’s this guy right here from Cannon. amzn.to/3BKnchA right now it’s on sale at Amazon for only 300 bucks. It’s great for logging. It’s got the features of a higher end camera, but it doesn’t have the lens. It doesn’t do a lot of big zooms. It’s more meant to be taken at a short distance. Though I have recorded some stuff with it that you probably shouldn’t for example, when my nephew went to the racetrack, I recorded with one of those on NSD card. They’re pretty handy. They’re small than a phone. The battery does pretty good, however, when I use it to record for TH-cam. I haven’t hooked up by USB in streaming format. It will do 4K but I recorded 19 20 x 10 80. It just doesn’t make sense to record much higher resolution… The juice just isn’t worth the squeeze if you know what I’m saying but yeah it’s on sale right now at Amazon for 300 bucks. I have three of them. It was still half the price of the camera that I wanted to buy having three of them lol and I think the qualities is as good as the higher end cannon that I was going to purchase.

      Hey there great question! Yes it does the included plugins plenty of these kinds of sounds and will most likely be all that you need. You will also have the ability to, or course, use sampled instrument - but something worth noting is that the virtual synths that are part of the AKAI package are editable and can be tweaked to your hearts content, allowing you to make them even more suited to your needs. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you out - if you want a patch editing tutorial on a specific synth or something let me know. I’m happy to help you out

    • @Cap10NRGMusic
      @Cap10NRGMusic 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yeah, I have several higher and keyboards and I would put it against any of them. And the price for that unit at the time was not too bad compared to other devices. I can’t remember exactly but I believe the CS6R was about 100 bucks more than the keyboard And I think it was 899 for the keyboard… Which I thought was interesting because they charge more for the rack at the time I thought than the keyboard itself because people wanted that profile they didn’t want all the keys you know. And I totally get that feeling now that I would like to get more rec devices less keyboards because Those keyboards tend to take over the room… It would be nice to have some of them not be such space hogs. Or smaller keyboards would be nice like 37 keys. But heck yeah I’ve actually tried to get a second one of the CS 6X in rack format, the problem is there aren’t that many of them around for sale. A lot of people are hanging onto them and if they are selling them they want way too much money for them, or the condition is poor… Which I don’t understand with a rack module with a keyboard I get it cause you know they usually carried around, but I feel like a rack. Module is almost like a set it and forget it type scenario you know what I mean… Also one major issue/I don’t wanna say flaw but kind of is the use of the smart media cards on the CS 6X line. Those cards are harder to find, and pretty pricey at this point, I was able to get the voice editor software working on Windows 11… That was a challenge Lol but yes love love love that sent. And it’s funny the more I play with it right now, the more I start to think to myself why do I buy all this other stuff lol

    • @TerryFIN
      @TerryFIN 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Cap10NRGMusic For sure. Makes sense. I had to rip apart my studio and get the old spaghetti mess of wires out of there, including all the gear. I've slowly been rebuilding the room in sections and this time bought a label maker to label EVERY cord so I know what's what. Also learning everything doesn't have to be hooked up at the same time, but it's hard to choose what goes and what stays. The troubles of being a gearhead. LOL

    • @Cap10NRGMusic
      @Cap10NRGMusic 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I can 100% fully appreciate that problem lol. I have been seriously thinking of taking like a month off of TH-cam to tear my whole studio apart get everything out of it clean everything bring it all back and rewire everything… But by the time I got back, no one would care enough to see my channel so and TH-cam would’ve knocked me down to the completely unimportant level so unfortunately, I guess that’s on the back burner for now. It was bad enough when I got Covid missed two weeks of videos I came back and TH-cam had knocked me down, saying that I was basically light on new users essentially new subscribers… I was worried that they were gonna take away something at that point, but they didn’t take anything away they just didn’t send anyone my way either for about a month and a half of additional work to get it back up. I ended up doing a video every Few days for about a month and a half and recovered.

    • @TerryFIN
      @TerryFIN 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Cap10NRGMusic Yeah, that's rough. I could never be a FT TH-camr for several reasons -- one of them being that if something happened where I couldn't produce for a while, the algorithm would punish me and I would lose out. I already had a brick and mortar business for about 4 years and kept my old job in the meantime for backup and I'm glad I did, cuz covid killed the business and I had to close. One good thing about covid (good thing?? lol) is that it got me into synths, drum machines and grooveboxes. Something I've really enjoyed for the past 4 years and got me out of the funk of losing my business.

      Hey, on the plus I guess what the spice just showed up at Sweetwater it’s in stock if anyone’s looking for it! And mine‘s on the way should be here after Christmas… But my JT mini just showed up from Europe insane. I can’t believe it beat the Christmas rush! So I’ll probably be doing something with that tonight. And yeah, I actually started this during the pandemic on my 50th birthday basically is when I pretty much started and decided I was gonna do this. It’s not really a moneymaker for me honestly I think I’ve earned a few hundred dollars but… Believe me that money has not Been Profit per se. That money and more goes into making this channel actually interesting for people so. I need a lot more subscribers before I can actually get any kind of real money and a lot more interested in my channel but I guess we’ll see what happens. At least it’s a hobby and it’s fun and I feel like I help a lot of people which is my main goal anyway. Maybe someday when I’m gone someone will think of me and be like that guy Captain energy who told me how to do this I wouldn’t be able to make this synthesizer connect to that one without video X lol we’ll see what happens my legacy ha ha ha.

    I sure do wish Reason and Steinberg could figure out a replacement for REWIRE. I used to have Reason projects set up as synth rack "presets" Rewired to Cubase. The CPU efficiency was amazing. Project management was fast and elegant. I still use Reason instruments as VST in Cubase but there is no comparison to REWIRE.

    • @Cap10NRGMusic
      @Cap10NRGMusic 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Are you simply trying to be able to create two projects that essentially sync up through the two DAWS? I use rewire years ago for syncing up the two DAW‘s so that they would sort of play nice together… As in like I would set up my base lines and reason and my drums and will say and then I would do my lead stuff in Cuba because a lot of the lead stuff used actual hardware which Reason kind of sucks for. Is that what you’re trying to accomplish?

    • @sf6657
      @sf6657 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Cap10NRGMusic , Yes, essentially. Reason as a VST means a new rack for each instrument or effect. Reason via Rewire allowed you to use one rack of synths, samplers etc and you could then choose anything from that one rack in Cubase from Cubase midi tracks. Save the Reason project with its content as a preset Rack. I had one Reason project set up for rock, one for EDM, etc... Now the "Rack" concept is somewhat lost unless you're using Reason's sequencer.

    • @Cap10NRGMusic

      Funny, you should ask… I’m actually putting together a new patch library for the CS6X, also for a couple of the Behringer synthesizer. I will probably do a video demoing. The sounds and then have them up on my Gumroad account… Probably to the tune of 10 cents per patch so like a 20 patch bank two dollars or maybe I’ll just do donation based or something with a minimum of a dollar. But yes, I’m working on some patches right now as we speak. I’m trying to get some holiday sounds together as well as some more modern dance sounds. I actually just got the patch editor working on my Windows 11 machine… Which was very tricky and might do a video on that because it’s the one that’s not supposed to work on anything older than windows XP I believe or 98. It was kind of crazy to get it working. There were a whole bunch of settings that I had to change in the launcher on windows. Mac folks are just kind of hosed I think at this point because the Mac version simply does not run on modern max. It’s a whole new processor, of course because back in the day when they wrote the editors, they were written for the power PC, which was later replaced by the Intel, and is now replaced by the M processors… Making backward compatibility and absolute 100% nightmare lol. But what are you gonna do… Time marches on I guess I actually thought of writing a new editor for the CS6X I simply don’t have the time to do it though. I would love to have a modern editor for all of the Yamaha vintage keyboards of that time period. I guess we’ll see what happens lol. But yeah sounds coming soon. Probably be a few that I just give away too so yes sub up if you haven’t already and you’ll know when they get dropped! Have an awesome day and thank you for asking and thank you for watching the video. And you’re so lucky to have that AN plug-in! Highly sought after!

    Hi everyone, I was very intrigued by this machine; However, among other machines that I own I have an MC101: it has four tracks too but tons of sounds, efx... we all know it. the question I asked myself is: do I really need another four-track machine but more devoted to a predefined genre? the answer I gave myself was that with the MC101 I can do everything I would do with Ambient0 and even more. I would already see the TextureLab as better for experimenting and not being redundant with what I already have.

    • @Cap10NRGMusic
      @Cap10NRGMusic 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      A texture lab is primarily one track… This is kind of essentially like a four track version of that in a way but the texture lab is actually more powerful in its sound design… Just not as capable overall it’s more of a sound generating tool. Which is very helpful if you have a sampler, or use sampling software.

I still use my SEQTRAK pretty much every day at some point for a few minutes even I may not make a full track with it but it’s wicked fun to just noodle around with and make a quick little loop here and there. I think that thing is amazing. And it pairs really nice with a lot of different other synthesizes. The funniest part is I actually use it more than I use my actual 808 and 909 as a drum kit because it’s just so dang simple to set up and use and set up loops on.

      Hey there - hmmm interesting... How did you format the drive? Did you format it on the PC and put it in the Force, or format it on the Force and then try to read it on the PC? Can the Force read it without any issue? I can make a quick video to show you how but here is a quick step-by-step: 1. Browse the files on your Force/MPC 2. Select the card you want to open - usually SD cards have a little "Up Arrow" on the right so you can eject the card in software to avoid damaging it. 3. Press SHIFT - the menu at the bottom of the screen should change to show the following options - Sample Assign / Load Sequence / Delete File / Drive Info / Load All - select Drive Info 4. Double check to be sure it is the drive you want to format (Mine is a a32 GB drive and it shows 29.5GB for Drive Size and Free Space 21.2, yours will be different) 6. At the bottom of this screen you will see 2 options... Ok = which brings you out of the menu / and Format Drive = which will format the SD card properly for your Force. You may need to follo the prompts - can't remember what comes next but just answer teh questions then save something to the drive and try to read it on your PC again... Also IMPORTANT - if you are taking it out of the Force - ABSOLUTELY NEVER REMOVE IT - UNLESS YOU HAVE EJECTED THE DRIVE FIRST!!!! I lost a 64GB card to this so I am speaking from the expeience that losing about a year of content teaches you... Always be safe with your data. I hope that helps

Some of midi functions don't work correctly. if I have it on bar mode then what I expect is the midi to move to the next bar in the exact same lacation when drag and dropping midi but it doesn't. Also a simple task of just moving a midi note up or down with the mouse is hard work it jumps off toma different location and you cant drag it back to its original location. Some of the devices have a glitch where the modulation gets stuck into a midi clip and there is no way to separate or edit the modulation. All these things are getting on My nerves, takes Me out of the flow and I abandon the projects.

    Great video. Do you think this synth is better than the Roland SH201?

    • @Cap10NRGMusic
      @Cap10NRGMusic 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Honestly, that’s kind of a hard question to answer because well one I don’t have a Roland SH201 to compare it to I could do a spec comparison on paper but… Paper doesn’t tell the whole story, also I think better is a state of mind in a lot of ways And a a lot more to do with how you like to work. I personally love this keyboard and completing the collection of the AN1x CS1x CS2x and CS6x was super important to me… But I am a huge 90s techno, euro dance, trance nerd lol. I like the operating system on them all of those keyboards. They all operate pretty similarly and it’s what I’m used to if that makes sense. So I really would have a tough time comparing it to the SH20 one. I was actually thinking today you know it’s weird. I don’t have any Roland gear, which I think is a bit odd… But I digress I have rolling clones I suppose. One thing I did notice I don’t really know the unit but from what I can tell on the Internet, it’s only got full voice polyphony. Where this unit the CS2X has 64 voice polyphony so if you’re trying to do production, I feel like you get a lot more mileage out of the CS2X, also it’s multi timbral which, though I spelled, that wrong allows U to play multiple voices on it simultaneously. The reason you would use something like that would B that U could set up a 909 drum kit, a lead sound, bass, strings… A bunch of instruments basically can play up to up to 16 independent instruments at a time or 13 instruments if you’re using one of the performance voices. So I mean, you could use the CS2X as your entire band where the SH20 one would be one single instrument. It depends how you like to perform and it depends what you want to do. Also, you can pick this unit up used for two $150-$300 in decent shape as I did so the cost is pretty reasonable and it’s a pretty nice w synth!

      @@christhedemocrat The prices for those synths seem decent, assuming they are in good condition. I’ve never owned them, but I know they work very differently from one another, so it can be hard to compare them. The SH-201 is a subtractive synth, allowing for extensive tweaking of parameters to shape your sound (LFOs, oscillators, filters, etc.). However, it’s not well-suited for creating acoustic instrument sounds, if at all. It’s sought after because it features the supersaw oscillator from the JP-8000, which is very popular in trance music. The CS2x, on the other hand, is a rompler, meaning it uses samples as its sound source instead of oscillators. This is both its strength and its weakness. On the one hand, you can find acoustic instrument samples if that’s what you’re after (though don’t expect the high fidelity of more expensive models like the Korg M1). On the other hand, you won’t be able to tweak those samples much beyond combining them, adjusting the volume envelope, or applying a filter. Paradoxically, it might seem more versatile but also a bit rigid at the same time. Hope this helps!

      @Cap10NRGMusic 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You can filter und use various effects on them though - I personally home not been hampered by the way you make patches on the CS2x I think both synths would be great. Depends what you want to do though and how much you want to “squeeze out of your investment”. Honestly if you want a great synth to add all those other sounds - for $50 get yourself a Behringer JT4000m - best $50 piece of hardware I have ever bought and it is based on the JP8000 - so Super Saw : CHECK!! :)

    Is there any analog synths sampled as 2 parts ( 2 Os ) that you can de tune them ?

    • @Cap10NRGMusic
      @Cap10NRGMusic 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Not sure if you’re asking “in general” or specifically the CS2x - but here goes… on the CS2x you can have one “performance voice” which has 4 layers, each layer is a sound or could be considered an oscillator each layer can be tuned, have its own LFO that can effect amplification, pitch, and filter. You can map each OSC to the knobs or MOD wheel and control pretty much any attribute so the answer there is yes. If you are asking in general using a sampler like an MPC - some devices yes and some devices no. Some samplers are a single sample (or Oscillator) at a time others can have layer sounds. Now I’m not 100% sure about tuning variations off layers on MPC but I believe it is possible and with MPC 3 we go from 4 samples per sound to 8 so…. You could vet nuts with that if it works. I will give this a try and maybe make a video showing it if it works like I think it will and I’ll tag you to let you know. Do t forget to sub so you’ll see the results

      Hey there sorry I had “misplaced” this thread - but I found you again haha. Ok so your speakers hook directly and you just want to be able to use a physical piano key device with the JT4000? So there is no computer in this music rig (I’m assuming) if that is the case - get yourself a DoReMidi MIDI host box amzn.to/4icjRZd This is an affiliate link just you know, you pay the same amount - I’ll make like 5 cents or something if you buy it… Anyway this interface will give a USB-MIDI, a real set of MIDI I/O ports and allow you to connect it directly to another MIDI device and control/play it. If there IS a computer in this rig, you just need a DAW(there are plenty of free ones like GarageBand on Mac and Sonar on PC) and you will be able to hook it up to your computer and get making music from there. From what your setup looks like you may not need any additional cables, just that interface if DAWLESS is your goal. You may eventually need a small mixer and other cables for more gear but right now you should be good!

      Hello - I’m guessing that you’re referring to the USB-C splitter I used. These are on Amazon amzn.to/3AWT9TF but please be aware, in the end - in order to convert this to MIDI and use it with devices that DIDN’T HAVE. Their own midi controller I still had to buy a DO RE MIDI MIDI HOST adapter. At the cost of that adapter, if you don’t need it for other things you might do just as well selling your original JT4000 and “upgrading” to the JT4000M which now DOES have a Real midi connector. Sorry if that was confusing I thought it was working in the video the way I wanted it too… But it turned out that the MPC actually has a controller on board that took care of the necessary connection and most other devices do not have that it turns out… But the splitter does work if you want to power it off something else and just play it or power it from a power bank and connect it to a different device like a PC, a Mac, an MPC, or in akai force. I hope that helps

      @Cap10NRGMusic I think We should be exporting midi for every project both a multi midi and single midi format, which is something important to note that they are not the same thing. A multi midi file saved all midi data in a project all channels and all modulation but that is not what We want if We want to just have the note data. This midi packs they just have the single midi from a single channel track out so for that your going to cut just the midi no modulation onto a new channel export that as a loop on its own. I'm good, I'm just working out how to do better video's but in a organised way that doesn't take to much time and effort. I watched this How to grow on TH-cam vid that said there's 4 different categories 1 Hero content which focus in a experience, 2 Tutorial channel's, 3 documentary or story telling channels 4 Reaction channels. I have been doing all of these on My channel and apparently thats very had, so now I need to just pick one and do that, and apparently My channel would do better. The most successful videos on My channel are commentary video whic falls into 3 because it presenting information and a point of view so is like a basic documentary.

    • @Cap10NRGMusic
      @Cap10NRGMusic หลายเดือนก่อน

      @HOLLASOUNDS that’s interesting - the TH-cam content info there. I mean - I guess I primarily do help/tutorial videos and I do have some “info/reaction” videos - with a splash here and there of other info but I’ve stuck to those 2 areas mostly. I do t have the time to do documentaries and not really even sure what a hero/experience video is haha. The file that I exported from CUBASE was a multitrack midi file and it included modulation so it wasn’t just notes. I like how it actually kept the titles of the tracks with it, I haven’t exported midi in a long time for any practical reason anyway, but I don’t recall when I used to do it in the 90s and early 2000s if the names of the tracks came with it. Or maybe they just want imported on the receiving end, not sure. When you export MIDI from CUBASE there are a bunch of options, I guess more like a handful. You can select a few different options and get different types of files out of it. You can choose PPQ. Just notes. Oh and tracks that are muted in CUBASE don’t get exported- interestingly.

      @Cap10NRGMusic Hero content is like this "I try this new synth asnd made a creazy beat" they are showing what there doing but its not actually a tutorial. Documentary style includes research video or videos where your focused on sharing a opinion and showing why you have that opinion but is not a reaction video. The video where I talk about Akai being out of date and using ild technology is a bassic documentary, I make a points, show and talk about why I have that opinion or point of view and the evidence I have for that opinion or point of view.
