I dunno if I'm crazy about the knife work on the car parts.. I do understand it needs to be cut, but I would try and figure out a way to cut it without the blade on the back side.. almost like that letter opener thing in the beginning.
this is easy to work with. i Wrapped my car. my computer my keybard my mouse and part of my PC screens. even my cellphone is wrapped. som in carbon some with other textures
@alphaservertech I've tried but to be honest is horrible...I've spray laca over the 3M Di Noc and disappear the shape of the texture if you want to apply laca you will need real carbon fiber. Is the best way.
they make this stuff look bullet proof. its not its amazing BUT DONT USE TOO MUCH HEAT. a tinny bit more than you should and it will rip easily!!! i was fucking pissed
Funny marketing shit. How they skip the parts where he has to lift the vinyl because he can't go on. They made it look really simple with the 'bubble free' shit.
Sure do get a lot of waste there, maybe fine when you are the supplier of 3M, but Mr.Average thats pays for it not so, using this stuff wisely can be done, for example the mirror cover could have dont both, not just one.
@Kiyenna both wil work but sometimes a blow dryer is not hot enough for the job
i have seen people using a blow torch directly on the vinyl material
I need to get some of that stuff! That looks great!
holy crap, this stuff looks amazing, i hope the vinyl doesnt peel off if your doing like 80 down the high way...
@Khesa Did you use afterheating. you have to "kill" the vinyl by getting it to a temp. of 90°C
for civic hood its about 60" x 60" so teg prob bout the same
there will be a bit to spare too with that :)

How it does after such a long period? Is it wrapping off?
Yeah! I want to now if it's perfectly removable :)
Please, the name of the music!!! Awesome.. Does anyone knows?
...How long does the material last? I heard that you have to replace it every 5yrs?...
What's that knife called that he's using.. I need to get one.. Dont hace any as sharp as that around =/
how much does a job like this cost all togather?
Do I need a heat gun or will a blow dryer work?
@phantomsfire980 its not meant to be flexed, it will come off
how much weight does this add?
Hey can you add clear-coat to it?
@BeauKnight96 Thanks.. I'll check it out :)
Can this be applied to surfaces that have been spray painted?
Did you know that cars are spray painted?
these guys are good
if that were real carbon fiber, that would be one fast mini!

And this is why I never believe carbon fiber anymore. Just like when I had a closer look at a cars Brembo's today and they were eBay clip on's.
hho yeah
