Ohh my.. I would die for those rocks and my Dark Angels outpost base.. Instead of the timber, a landing pad, and a massive door to the "hidden" base. You are awesome. Regards from Denmark. Alex
Not sure what's more impressive, the colour palette on the rock formation or your commitment to handcrafting every single popsicle stick. Absolute stellar job!
Nice job! If you could get a hold of some wooden coffee stirrers it would save you the entire process of cutting down the popsicle sticks, they're almost all I use anymore, and I use a dremel with a cutoff wheel or a sanding drum to age and texture them. Can't wait to see the other pieces in the video finished!
Great idea with the dremel! I have used coffee stirrers before. I find that they're a bit too flimsy for my liking. But yeah they're definitely at a better scale and save time.
What a lot of work but it was worth it. Again some very nice terrain. I would love to see a battle report in the future, when goblin town is ready for gaming.
Mate can see why this is your favourite thing so far. Fantastic feature. It’s been amazing to see it coming together over on discord. I can see some issues in the future updating all your goblin town board to the new look. Can’t wait to see a battle report or two on this board
Haha yeah man I really feel like I need to spruce up the old rocks! Can't wait to get the whole thing done. Thanks so much for the continued support mate. I truly appreciate it 😊
Amazing piece! Well done now bring the rest of the pieces up to standard and built that board + why not get master zorp to come over for the battle report?
Amazing work mate! Picked up some great tips. The knife carving on the foam looks great and it blends with the bark perfectly. The verticality is no nice. It must have taken you ages to carve all of the wood! Love the macabre bits, like the skeleton in the net too.
Amazing work! About the plank-cutting; have you tried using a sidecutter? I was working on some moria terrain as well, started out cutting it the same way you did, but eventually tried using a sidecutter to split the end of the stick. 90% of the time, you could then split the sticks by hand, and since it's just goblin terrain, it doesn't have to be 100% clean anyway!
The technique is impressive, but it's the aesthetic that really wows. What a fantastic build! Oh man I wish I could justify making something like this but space is limited and I don't even play MESBG. But I will find some way to incorporate these techniques into something in future. Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to more goblin town.
Thanks so much for the kind words! Yeah storage space is always an issue, still not sure where I'll store this haha! I certainly hobby and craft more than I play the game, defo my favourite part 😊
I've seen some really nice timber results by taking broken popsicle sticks hitting them with a wire brush and then just hitting them with something like a strong tone but not actual paint other than maybe a light drybrush of a gray t make them look older.
@@dicedrinksanddadjokes fair enough, but just painting real wood with washes and or thinned down inks looks really good in a way that is really work intensive to beat if you paint and prime them. Also since you were sticking them all down on sticks to paint them anyway it would have been much much less work to wire brush them at that point.
My only feedback is you could take the same aproach to the wood planks as you do the rocks. I was extremely impressed at the tones and reaslism of the rock. I would say creating multiple lighter brown stains with greens and greys, weather powders ect your wood would look incredable. Also I think using a wire brush to score the wood might add some extra dymention to the surfaces :) I am really enjoying watching your chanel grow and I hope GW send you the love and attentions your skills and creativity deserve!@@dicedrinksanddadjokes
Very nice i did a similar thing some time ago, though I was in a rush to get mine finished and it looks a bit 'linear' ... yours defo looks more 'rickety' :)
Oh wow, that is a big effort. Have any suggestions for starter small projects? I've just started going to a place here that provides some paints for a small fee so makes learning to paint far easier.@@dicedrinksanddadjokes
Star wars Definitely would be on the agenda ya, but happy to start else where to learn some skills. Interested in making some terrain but also maybe little dioramas/ buildings.@@dicedrinksanddadjokes
Very, very cool what you always do! I'll leave you a subscription! At least you have a little support ;-) Would you like to build a jungle play table as your next project? Also chaotic and confused (which is what you like) with lots of broken buildings, plane remains, streets and so on on many, many levels? The whole thing was then overgrown with plants and everything was still flooded by the sea! would need a play table in 90x90cm to recreate for: the drowned earth! :D cheers! ♥

Brilliant build! Can see this as a display piece at Warhammer world it's that good!
Wow high praise indeed, thanks so much!
Incredible work. Fantastic.
Thanks buddy 😁
What a killer build! The blending of the holy trifecta of rock techniques came together beautifully. Great video as always mate
Thanks mate! I do love making sexy rocks haha

You’ve done an incredible job on this! The rocks look fantastic, I’m going to use your technique on my terrain! 😊
Thanks buddy, glad you liked it 😊
Another great piece of work! Your terrain projects are inspiring! This is a beautiful bit of terrain. Makes me want to start a goblin town army 😂
Thanks so much mate! Do it! They're a lot of fun to paint
Amazing. Looks just like the movies
Thanks so much! 😁
Very impressive build and loved all the tips!
Glad you liked it mate, thanks!

Incredible. Best one yet, but disappointed it went in the direction of Goblin town and not Pride Rock in the end :P

Did you 3D print the skeleton and skull bits? If so where did the files come from?
Yeah I did, I found them at My Mini Factory
Could you please tell me who made the files? These would be great details for the ruined city tiles I'm building.
Alex Kolakowski is the creator and the files are called “The Scattered Remains”
@@dicedrinksanddadjokes thank you! Much appreciated!
