If those get added, then he would be running out of room, quite fast. Still, looking good, it's coming together.
November 2025: "To make room for the ninth part of our Dagorlad / Dead Marshes mega board and the water supply, we actually had to evict the neighbors and smash some trailer park sets to build us this basic storage structure, based on the original Hindenburg hangar..."
The tug of war between screen accuracy and making the table good for gaming would drive me crazy. Glad you can carry on and knock these projects out for our viewing pleasure
Games Workshop repeatedly sending mountains of plastic is a nice problem to have! Loving the build so far and I feel like the integration of the 3D prints, plastic kits and some peak Zorpazorp crafting is just *chefs kiss*.
Thank you Nigey!! Yeah I can't wait to add even more plastic to the lower slopes and kitbash a bunch of barracks and staables into the outer ring wall like garrison structures!
You know what would be freaking awesome? A bunch of short videos of alternative builds of the GW Houses! There isn’t much content out there for these and I think that they’d be popular especially with the new box set out. I know you have done some different builds within large videos and kind of skimmed through them, some more detailed user friendly alternatives builds would be fantastic. Your how to vids are what got me into watching your content, kind of miss them. Yeah granted you are doing all these mega boards but sometimes simpler, easy to follow along builds can be more accessible to viewers rather than unattainable mega builds.
This is a great idea. You already have a bunch of very nice, varied house designs, but it would be lovely to have some more step-by step guidance and an indication of how many kits each of your designs requires, so that people who only have a few kits can plan out some nice varied designs.
Can we just take a minute to appreciate this mans drive and determination? I remember that announcement at the start of the year and it was looking bad. And now here we are with some of the most epic zorpazorp content to date. I hope this channel sees so much more success in the months and years to come. As always you are an inspiration to us all from moving to middle earth to teaching us all how to bring it to our table tops. My friend you bow to no one.
Also the shipping from NZ to the UK would be insane so they won't want to pay that much for the actual display, if you where in a position to part with them you'd probably get more from canvassing friendly local game stores in NZ and AUS or putting on an ebay auction
the push and pull between "Those walls look so good, I could use a nice palisade" and "Wait did he say eight thousand dollars" is wild! Looking great Lachie, keep on keeping on! Also, for real, if any GW reps or whatever see this comment, I don't play LotR, and I've never been especially tempted to get in on it, but I keep looking at buying some of the new Hill Tribes and maybe even a whole set or two for kitbashing cultists and militia for 40k, and if I do, it is entirely because of the love and enthusiasm shown here.
Started following your channel at the beginning of last year, when I re-ignited my passion for Warhammer/miniature painting after about a 20 some odd year hiatus. Your channel inspired me immensely; not just for miniature painting but it also got me into building/crafting dioramas... which is the main aspect of the hobby for me now. Using your techniques on terrain building and scenery as a guide, I submitted my first competition piece last month. I'm working on many more projects in the upcoming year and this channel is a huge source of information and motivation. It's been awesome following your crafting journey and I'm glad the channel is going strong. Thanks for the content, I know its not easy running your own business. I hope 2025 is another successful year for you.
I think the biggest thing you could do for your channel in 2025 would be to rename all your videos in a way that makes some actual legible sense for those following along in future. Then obviously adopt that moving forward also.
I second this. A reference to a mountain of plastic gives no indication of which video in the Edoras series this is. I'd love them to be numbered, especially when I'm sharing them with my nephew, who recently got the new boxed set for Christmas.
That was a rollercoaster of a year for Zorpazorp. Happy to see you went through it. Can't wait to see what's in store for 2025. And now I am impatient for next week and the end of Helm's Deep. Happy New Year to you and your family, may 2025 be the best year for you all.
so i started working on a table for me local gaming store/club, and man, the way you made those GW legions Imperialis buildings go together easy, you're an absolute legend! (hopefully these kits are still super modular, but not quite as prone to being a pain in the arse to keep square when you try to build big!) Edoras is looking magnificent!
What you are doing is so amazing! It's hard to believe such an endeavor is being untaken! Zorpazorp, you are a massive source of my inspiration in making wargaming terrain and the hobby of wargaming as a whole. Thank you for your perseverance and expression of your skills and creativity. The Horse Stables in Edoras has always been my favorite building from the movies and you have done it an incredible justice!!
Idea, the next time you do so many thatched roofs and must put a strip of thatched green stuff over it, prepare a positive and negative 3D print already in a corner, a long thing, probably best in resin, thick enough so it doesn't snap as easily, long strip on green stuff, cut to pieces as needed, you need minor clean up and detailing instead of doing the whole thing all the way many times.
This just gives me vibes from a favourite LOTR game of mine. There’s a level on the “the third age” PS2 game where you get to see Edoras in such lovely detail
That’s just blown me away. The level of thought you have given to this and the detail is beyond amazing. It’s by far way better than your Osgiliath bird and that was proper awesome back then. Look forward to seeing your 2025 content. Great work once again. You sir are a genius and a credit to this hobby. I salute you.
Man with all the mountains of plastic you've been sent over the last year or so, you have your own plastic mountain range. ( its at least three mountains at this point! :P)

Another great build! My Uruk Hai scouts mouths are watering wanting to lay siege to this masterpiece. I swear one just said “looks like meats back on the menu boys!”
The games on these boards are going to be awesome. It inspired me to start 3d printing an awesome board for my games. It's probably going to take me 6 months to print everything, but I couldn't afford GW kits.
This is incredible. Favourite location in life and now my favourite board you have made. I really can’t wait to see this with ground texture and grasses 😍
Wow Lachie, this feels like you got the Zorp magic back. Love the consistency and sticking with one big project, the combo of kitbashing and classic crafting, and the energy!!!

Any timber structures built in such an area would need fixing and replacing over the years, so it's likely those palisades and the gatehouse would have been replaced and altered during Theoden's lifetime.
So THIS is why the sets are more expensive and out of stock. They gave them to him free, well, the hobiest paid for them. Great build though! One love from Scotland. 💙 🦁 🏴

I'd find it very hard to part with any of them to be honest haha! Need them for the big campaign!
