My teenage years were filled with the music of the BCR and the first love in my life was Leslie. A mixture of attraction and loving feelings ...and I was only 12 when it started. Good memories! The BCR were an important part of my life!!! Never forgotten! I saw them in concert in Offenbach/ Germany ..one if my most treasured experiences of those years.Had no idea then about their struggles. Didn't have a clue he was bisexual ....family as it turned out! Of course I didn't have a real life relationship with him, but it sure felt and still feels like he and they gave me a lot of good in my life. Thank you , Les, and thank you BCR for all my wonderful memories and for the music that at the time inspired me and filled my heart with so much joy!

I’m was lucky to see the rollers live and also see Les in his later life performing all the hits and i have to say i was so pleased to have this in my life thank you one and all..👍
R.I.P., Les. Thanks for the music, three concerts I attended, and so many good times. I got a radio DJ gig in 1978, and the first record I played was "You Made Me Believe In Magic". As a Rollers' nod, I'd sign off each day saying to my listeners "All of me loves all of you!". Love to Les and the rest of the band, now and always.
What a gorgeous looking human, wow him in early years with long hair, what can you say, thanx Les for being part of my life, saw the BCR in 1976; you couldn’t hear him singing because of the screaming but I couldn’t care less, what a time in history, everything was so different then 👍🇦🇺❤️
I know this was about Les, but we cant forget to mention Duncan Faure, who replaced Les as lead singer. Alan rejoined the band. They had a tv show in America when Les was still with them, the Kroft Supershow. He was the live in boyfriend of Britt Eckland for a while... Then there was the horror that was the 1985 reunion tour which saw the brief reform of LES, ERIC, WOODY, IAN, PAT, and drummer GEORGE someone... no Longmuirs and no Duncan Faure. They released an album, BREAKOUT, which was released only in Australia and Japan, I do believe.
I was 15 years old when I fell madly in love with Les. I had no way of going to England for a concert. I was miserable. What can I say, I was a long time grown up when they actually came to Landsberg am Lech in Bavaria for an oldies night. Unfortunately there were no cell phones back then. Unfortunately I have forgotten the year, but it was the best day of my life to this day. A dream came true. R.I.P. Les 🕯
Les remained a good looking man through all his problems. I was in love with him at 13 and had his and the band's pics all over my side of the bedroom I shared with my sister. He had a bit of fame and is still remembered, so his life was a good one overall

I made a snarky comment on one of their videos about 5 or 6 years ago. Just a little throwaway joke, and I was shocked that Les himself replied and he was quite hurt and defensive. It taught me a lesson that YES sometimes the person you are joking about might read the comments. RIP Les. Your music was lightweight pop though.
Yep, 99% of the chart is lightweight poppy music. At their peak the Rollers sold millions of records & brought towns to a standstill when they arrived for concerts. I only ever saw The Beatles & David Cassidy do that. In real life, Les was humorous, self deprecating & racked with insecurities. It had been a rough ride but hopefully he's at peace now.
