hey whats up man, wish i saw ur post earlier, you can turn off the anc thru your dash without taking apart anything, turn your ignition on, then press 1,6,and display at the same time, then while holding those press the power button once, then hit 1 to turn off/on your anc system, let me know how it goes !
@thedaslzr The ANC mics where giving a weird feedback when iI would accelerate. Its "Active Noise Control" meaning its meant to block out noise to make the cabin quieter, but since its an aftermarket system on the stock headunit, it wasn't working out too well; when i would accelerate, the sub would bass on its own with the radio not even on o.O. Several other people had the same problem so I took their advice and removing them fixed it. The bass muffles the outside noise anyways haha
sorry for the late reply. I did this procedure on the 2010 model shown in the video and drove it for 2 years without an issue. I now drive a 2013 which i did the same thing too, and its been a little over a year and still no issues.
If I disconnect the ANC mics wouldn't this mess up the blutooth feature? I mean, if the mics are unplugged I wouldn't be able to talk on handsfree mode. Am I getting this concept wrong?
hey whats up man, the video shown was for a 2010 model without bluetooth. I now have a 2013 model with bluetooth and had the same question you have. I ended up unplugging the rear mic (now positioned in the rear headliner) and i clipped the ANC mic wire in the front mic. Theres three wires on the front mic; ground, and then one for the bluetooth mic and the other for the ANC mic. Right now I honestly don't remember which cable is which, so I would have to get back to you. Buttttttttt, before you do any of this, If you scroll down on the thread theres a comment from a @JasonLee who says we can turn the ANC feature off via the head unit. I didn't get to try his suggestion because he posted after I did my 2013 Install. gooudluck though and lmk how it goes.
I have the 08 v6 6speed and I could not find the back ANC even after 20 minutes of lifting that hard ass plastic sweating my nuts off. I was looking exactly under the little hole and didn't see anything. where exactly is it? I feel like im searching for something that's not even there
hey man, sorry for the late reply. In all honesty I'm not sure if the v6 6 speed model is the same as the i4 model, but on the i4 model the mic is literally right under the hole in the rear dash. Im sure you've probably solved you issue by now, but if not If you scroll down on the thread theres a comment from a @JasonLee who says we can turn the ANC feature off via the head unit. gooudluck and lmk how it goes.
+Kristian Munoz thanks for the...................................... reply lol. but I have still not found anything. i came to conclusion that there is nothing there. I switched the factory head unit out with a double din touch and my radio gets so loud I fear for my speakers.

I think there is also a "engine speed monitor" wire connected to the back of the HU, I still get booming at low RPMs with the MICs disconnected.
Thanks man, just hooked up a sub and amp in my friends accord. I hated leaving it unfinished!
thank you for this video ! I found the front mic easily but could'nt find the back one ! Good job !
It was on a 2008 accord EX i had noise bettween 1500~1800 rpm everything is good since i unpluged both mic !
Duro Max Awesome! Glad my video helped man.
Finally my answer. does anyone know forsure if there is anything wrong if unplugging these?? Thanks

good job
I just disabled the ANC.. and it did get rid of some distortions while at 2-3k rpm.. but there are still some feedbacks from sub .. any idea why?
@Kristian Munoz Did you remove your trim pieces to paint them? It looks great! GOOD JOB.
probably have a bad ground, sand off any paint on your frame before you bolt it down .
I have the same Car with the same problem, I unplugged them but now hear a annoying humming from the sub every time I Accelerate or slow down 😔
Does this method solve the issue for all new accords ?i have a 2015 model.
hey, i unplugged both of the mics but im still getting a bass noise when the engine is running @1000 rpm. any thoughts?
What is the purpose of removing the "ANC" for?
