  • Quick video of how to disable the anc (active noise cancelling system) in a 2013 honda accord, im doing this because it was interfering with my subwoofer/amp. what the anc does is that it listens to road/engine vibrations and sends the opposite wavelength signal out the speakers to quiet the road/engine noise by (deconstructive interference). so if your having a subwoofer interference when the doors are shut this is most likely your problem. so this is how to fix the subwoofer from feedback noise, buzzing, hitting randomly. comment like and share. also shows you "how to wire a subwoofer with a stock radio or headunit" also if you own a honda or an acura, and or even older models, the procedure should be similar( may not be exactly the same) when disabling the active noise canceling, easy way to disable active noise canceling DIY, without cutting wires, safe, cheap, convenient. how to remove anc mic's on 2013 honda accord. how to disable anc system by radio.

    Dude....you are the man! A week of re wiring, reading forums and beating my head against the wall and this solves my “feedback, low rumbling” issue. BTW the rear mic on a 2008 Honda accord is located under the rear deck by the speaker. It is under a little tiny hole.

    My ohhhhhh MYYYYYYY, after a 10 hour install , the struggle was real !!!!!! I went and purchased a completely new sub, I changed my ground multiple times , until I ended up calling it a night . I did my research and landed on this video. I want to say thank you and you saved me from spending more money. I was really close to buying the aftermarket radio for my car . 💁🏾‍♂️😎

    You can also just unplug the ANC module that is behind the glove box of most cars. Don't have to remove headliner etc and won't lose BT calling.

    directly from Headsound, i connect a SOEM4 and then to the input Amp, y use two RCA "Y" for the Input Sub, so i didnt need the converter low/high anymore, the reason why i decided to change everything was because the sound was horrible, finally the sound is VERY GOOD, today i decided to test what happen if i reconnect the ANC,Im surprissed to see that Subw doesnt vibrate as the first time,so i decided to keep ANC connected,i hope still working good always. I had the exact same problem and another install guy that was there said he knew exactly what to do, what he did was run a longer RCA far away from the fuel pump and guess what it stopped doing it. He said that the fuel pump picks up interference from the fuel pump and now my woofer won’t make a sound until the radio is on and volume up. I didn’t have to mess with the ANC at all.

    not really sure what your asking me. but ill try to answer you. after you disable the anc through the radio, it will automatically reset back to the factory setting when your ignitions completely off. and yes obviously you have to do it every time if you want the anc to be disabled. also the order you do it in doesn't matter, the car can be off and you can disable it, or vise versa. hope that helped.

    no i did not, speakers are still stock. i only have one 10" alpine type r so in an enclosed box so the bass isn't too dramatic, just the perfect amount to keep the quality of the music clean. if you upgrade to new speakers you should amplify them further too be super loud, if not its not a big deal.

But the ground wire is wired to the ground but there’s a plastic placement on top of the ground wire as it’s screwed into my meta car frame. For the remote wire, I used the illumination fuse in the fuse box running at 7 + 3.5 amp. I’m not sure which way is the correct way to fuse it. Please help.

    I'm not sure if my issue is related in any way but I just installed a line out converter on a 2015 Civic SI so that I can install an amp and subs. It's the type that has a power & ground wires that need to be connected in order for the blue remote wire to send signal to turn amp on. I wired them to the power on the amp and the ground on the amp. Everything sounds good until the car and stereo is turned off the sub pulsates loud for a few seconds then just stops. It's as if the amp doesn't shut off fast enough. I'm wondering maybe I got a crappy LOC and about to buy another. The amp is a Kenwood monoblock but I tried 2 other amps like Kicker and Memphis and still did it so I know it's not the amp. I appreciate any input on my situation. Oh and I used the 2 rear left and right speakers to connect the LOC. Is there a way to use the the stock subwoofer wiring instead? Thanks

    there is no dash kit for 2013 accord!. Also i would say if you want to get a better sound then change your speakers and put sub in there as well. If you plan to buy speakers then make sure you get around 50 watt rms power speakers. They will match with your headunit pretty well and then add infiniti tweeter in back . I had infinite speakers and it sounds great. I just have hard time with sub. ANC is giving me hard time. I might just disconnect mic .

    does it only interfere when your doors and truck are closed? and also do you have the same model as mine? im aware that the premium package has a few faults in the radio. so that could be a manufacture issue.. but heres a few things to try, put a fuse in between the batter and the main power wire( closer to the battery) make sure you have at least an 8 gauge wire, check if your ground is solid. and run a diagnostic on your amp too see if its within spec, MAKE SURE YOUR GAIN ISN'T SET TOO HIGH.!

    FYI, you can access the ANC from behind the radio without even removing the radio. The passenger side has a small panel under the dash by your left leg when sitting. Once you move that, you see a gray connector next to some gold connectors. Reach in, unplug it, and boom -- ANC unplugged. Easy cakes.

    Hi
    So I got a honda stepwagon rk5 2010 and installed a kenwood aftermarket radio unit, but I got a buzzing noise when accelerating and found out that I need to disable the ANC!
    Anybody knows where to find it?
    TIA

    Great video, I had the same problem with my 2014 accord. Does your sub make that plastic on the back of the back seat rattle? I have that issue with mine and it's really annoying!

      Javier Gomez I just got my subs today and I heard some weird rattling noise coming from the back that's probably wat that is, any ideas on a solution?

    • @89javiergomez
      @89javiergomez 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I couldn't really come up with anything to fix that issue, the only thing I do is to keep the bass setting to a moderate level that way it's not too annoying. It also depends on what type of music you listen to. For me only a few songs make it rattle a lot

    Could you please tell me where did you get the sound for input to the New Amp. I have installed an Amp too (JBL JTO5355) and my Sub is 12" Pioneer Champion Series. First i take the sound from the output of the Factory Amp (My versión is EXL NAVY) i use a Low/High converter and conect to the input new Amp, the ANC was able and my Sub go crazy. Then i disconnect both ANC Mics and the problema dissapear. Last week i decided to change everything, i pull out the Headsound and take the sound directly

      i used two small flat head screw drivers, and you use them to carefully pry out the edges of the mic housing.... be careful cause you can scratch the surrounding plastic. if your worried about scratching anything, use plastic wedge tools.

    How did yuh connect it to the factory stereo can you list the parts n everything I would need to connect a amp n sub

    • @jdogenit
      @jdogenit  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      You need a line out converter... and you splice the wires into factory speakers and the l.o.c picks up low frequency waves (bass)

    Hey so I disabled all the mics like you showed on your video and everything works great, but all of a sudden recently every time I turn off my car and opens the door to get out the noise from sub goes off like it would when I had mics connected. I'm not sure whats causing it. When I turn off the car sometimes I can hear the subwoofer making a low humming/buzzing sound and as soon as I open the door thats when it gets louder just as if the ANC was still connected. Have you ran into that issue?

    • @jdogenit
      @jdogenit  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      no man, unfortunately i haven't run into that issue. after doing what i did i had no problems. that sounds like a amp issue, do you have a fuse in-between the battery and amp?

  • @jdogenit

    yeah its most likley your active noise cancelling system thats making your subwoofer kick when you dont want it too. the bluetooth and phone making capabilities are no longer there, once you unplug the mic's.

    Do you still have to disable anc if there is no factory sub channel? I'll have just an ex model with no sub but will be using a 6 channel LOC to change all speakers and add a sub. Will I still have to disable anc?

    • @ryansterling4226
      @ryansterling4226 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Cameron Smith Yes, even without the factory sub, the stock stereo system still runs the low frequency (bass) through the rear 6x9's, and believe me, for stock speakers they hit (pump a lot of bass). I have a 2010 LX-S 4cyl auto coupe (all stock, no mods) and it has the ANC system. I tried Jason's method of the 1,6, Display (which "display in the 8th gen is actually the "menu" button) power. This button sequence is actually a sequence, not all at the same time (so not like keyboard short cuts), just quickly hit the buttons in this sequence and it works. Then your radio display will read out the "Diag V1.5" that's where you can do lots of stuff, but don't mess around other functions you are not familiar with, just stick to using the "#1" button used for disc1/radio preset 1, that is how to toggle through between on and off for the ANC, and yes, it will make the system "boom", which is basically a system self check test to indicate to the user (you) if it is functional. That is also how to test if you have a "good ground" for your subwoofers if you add aftermarket subs, because it should sound smooth, if it sounds distorted then you are having either grounding issues, or continuity issues, or system impedance of some sort which is best diagnosed by a professional car stereo shop. Sometimes it can help determine if there is a loose connection in the wiring, meaning sometimes people don't tighten things down correctly. Remember, bass rattles things loose, which means if your ground wire or other wires are not solidly secured, they could become loose and make the system sound shitty, all it takes is one loose wire/screw to make a system sound like garbage. On another note, disabling the ANC inadvertently affects the ASL (automatic sound leveling), so you may be annoyed that you have to actually manually turn the volume up when you go on the freeway since the ASL adjustments are relatively proportionately based, which in turn can make you think your stereo isn't working right (like "why is it (the stereo) quieter on the freeway now and harder to hear") when in reality it just isn't automatically turning the volume up and down for you. Hopefully that helps answer some of those weird issues that are hard to figure out if you don't know how the system works in full scope.

    Just go to your settings and turn it off. So the noise cancel setting will be disabled.

      you must not own an accord with a subwoofer, you have to do it everytime you get int your car because it resets.... GUY

      Jason Lee so does this mean that if I get an ex model without a sub that I won't have to disable anc even if I add a 6 channel LOC to change all speakers and add a 5 channel plus a sub? Thanks
