I saw a mustang promo car on eBay today bid is up to $2,075.00 and he still has 6 days until it ends. So more than likely he will get way more and he is charging $25.00 for shipping straight up murder 😂🎉
thanks Chris, i have been hot lately, hopefully it continues. i'm hoping for $249 but a body of mine is a collector and thinks it will eventually got 150-200 range. fingers crossed
My biggest haul was 3 years back at the salvation army thrift store they had about 35 model kits airplanes tractors and semi trucks cars and motorcycles I got the hold bundle for about 40 bucks they were 1.99 2.99 each
That 2nd yard sale is a dream yard sale for me…bro there was SO MUCH money to be made…looked like some killer toys there too. If he’s close id go back to see if he had anything left over he wanted to sell. Great video
he really did! i wish i knew a little more about trains when i went to it. i got a lesson afterwards from my buddy who went back and bought a lot of it
I wish i knew more about trains. Yea i can just look up comps but if i have no clue it goes and sits in my pile. I called a buddy who collects trains and he went over later and bought a bunch
At 6:54 there was a Santa blow mold that was pretty cool and those sell well. Also 7:28 looked like vintage Barbie. Before all of those I saw some old looking Mickey items, but his prices were a little high. The models you picked up were good, my jaw dropped at the price he threw out!
That's awesome you found these, however, when I sell kits, nothing bothers me more than someone scanning all your stuff your trying to sell. I know ppl are in it to make money, but I don't sell to flippers. I sell to builders and collectors. Flippers are killing this hobby
You did good Paul. Your shorter format is easier for me to commit some watch time to. Keep it up. Comments: You’re such a nice guy. As you HONE your negotiating skills it’s gonna make you money. I can tell you have the right attitude, at 1:05 your stomach sounds hungry for deals. :) SUGGESTION - Try out some different techniques and you’ll find “you get what you ask for” often comes true. We all just have to practice our smartest buying habits. And it gets easier each time. 1. The box of FREE PLUSH where you don’t want to be greedy (BTW the seller wants it gone) - could have gone like this: “Free? I know someone that would love these. How about $5 for you putting it in a box?” “Oh they’re free.” “Well here, take at least 2 dollars. I’ll see they go to good use.” People love selling to nice guys. - Grandaddy-o
2. You got some good deals! What I look for in model cars - the more vintage the better. “Vintage in Plastic, Fantastic.” Check the dates for the more valuable ones. Also - that seller was making prices up on the spot. He had some good stuff but he was literally asking you what to sell for. Mebbe just mebbe he would have responded well to $100 bundle for all offer. BTW awhile back I bought a bunch of water damaged in plastic 1970s model cars for a dollar apiece. The boxes were "trashed" as your seller said. I sold Snuffy Smith Nascar model for $300 plus. (2 dedicated collectors duking it out). - Grandaddy-o
3. That HO model railroad stuff at 3:48 . Paul, check out eBay comps for “VINTAGE HO BUILDING”. That’s where ye treasures be matey. HO is selling pretty good. For the investment power I’d buy HO all day before most Lionel. The Lionel and American Flyer I would have LOOKED AT then ignored. Seller would have inflated the prices if you asked first thing. This is how to proceed: Examine the HO model railroad items. Mutter to no one in particular “Ahhhh, HO. Any new HO stuff? Hmmmmm. No. Some of this is cool. Would you take $20 for it?” “Oh that’s definitely $75.” “Ahhhhhhhh, well… I have $35… $40 tops.” (Buyer thinks…) “Yeah, OK.” Now, if you have the balls… understand you’re working him. A possibility, but ONLY IF YOU TRY: You pull out a roll of $120, “That Lionel and American Flyer.” (He perks up and wants to seem the expert, so you lead him.) “Too bad it’s not vintage. Still, they’re nice.” “How much for ALL the train stuff TOGETHER?” You sweep your hand HO then Lionel. He says “Oh man, at least $250.” You say, “Hmmm. I got like, $80.” “ At least $150.” You roll off bills. “I have 60, 80, 100…” Pause and make eyebrows. “$120 bucks that’s it.” - You then hand him the $40 for the HO, and dangle the extra $80. Be ready to walk. Even if he says no - he may call you back as you’re walking away. Quite possibly you’re in the vintage train business for the next couple months. Money talks & B*** S*** walks. Keep up the good work! And thanks for listening to the BS. :) - Grandaddy-o
thank you so much for your support and feedback. i appreciate it and do take it all in. im glad you enjoy the shorter format, i'll be doing my best to keep it around 10 minutes, 12 tops.
I'm new to the car model building game, but I can tell you it wasn't his collection right off the bat. This is what happens when you leave something precious in the hands of people who don't know a damn thing about them. What a sad world.
Ebay putz's ruin everything, even the big corps do not gouge like Ebay flippers do. I would just leave stuff for people to enjoy if it's something I'm not going to use. Bet these folks also charge $35 shipping on a model weighing less than a pound.
No offence to you because you’re out there making a living but I really prefer the old days when people bought model kits because they were into them, knew about them and liked them, not because their phone said they were valuable. Takes the fun out of collecting.
oh i totally understand! look at it this way though, whatever that gentleman didnt sell would likely have been donated somewhere, so I then sold it to a bigger audience to get it into a hand of a collector :)
Really? He's putting them on ebay where anybody can buy them. I live in Kansas. I have bought model kits from all over the world from the privacy of my home. I have rare vintage model kits that I've never seen in the wild only because of ebay.
@@rosssmith9870 thats a part of the equation most people dont think about. there's a lot of stuff that only comes out in certain regions and only way to get your hands on is the secondary market.
@3:50 he has a complete town, city and community in ho scale plasticvills 😂🎉

How you could not reach a deal for all the models is crazy...
I've been collecting model car kits for around 30 years and I've never found any decent ones at a yard sale!
o wow!!! outside of this one yard i havent found anything. thanks for watching
$249.99.....nice!! You've been killing it lately with the garage sales!!!
thanks Chris, i have been hot lately, hopefully it continues. i'm hoping for $249 but a body of mine is a collector and thinks it will eventually got 150-200 range. fingers crossed
Great score!!! You're killing it at yard sales and on TH-cam...well deserved!
thanks evan, i truly appreciate that. i've been getting lucky at these sales lately, got to keep doing it while the iron is hot.
Nice Score Paul ! Couldn’t believe he said $60 ! That’s awesome and great video !
thanks man!!! i was shocked too when he said 60

Hello Paul! This was fun yard sale with you! Fun times.

I found a Heinz 57 car. Only about $17ish. Listed n sold same day. Definitely a good market out there! $60 deal! Fantastic!👏👏👏
thats awesome!!!! model cars do sell well, especially when sealed
Wow, great scores, and a FREE Pikachu. It was your lucky day!!
thanks dee!! i was completely surprised when she said the plush was free
Pikachu Build A Bear for free?? What??? I always turn my volume down so they don't hear the ding when I scan the barcode
I was actually surprised by that ding, i normally dont get the sound.
Sweet haul. Best of luck and hope you had a great weekend
thanks man! hope you had a great one too
Huge scores! Nice job, Paul. 🔥🔥
thanks guys!!! this was another fun trip for sure

thanks man! i saw those days of thunder cars and had to have them, even if im not keeping them haha
@@TheFlippingSportsGuy those are sweet!
I dont know if you care or not but if you turn the media volume down on your phone when you're scanning out in public people won't hear the beep
It actually surprised me normally i never hear it. So i must have watched something that morning and didnt turn it back down. Thanks tho marcus!
Free Pokémon, I'd have definitely asked to take the entire box. Beautiful snowman, thanks for sharing the comps on that...
in the future i likely will ask, i need to start thinking like a businessman instead of the respectful of other shoppers guy haha
I would’ve NEVER looked up that snowman. Nice find.
i normally wouldnt either, my gut was talking to me on that one. thanks for watching katey!
do you still have any of them model kits for sale?
No theyve all been sold
Another excellent video! $60 is insane for all of that. Christmas in July! I used to love Intellivision growing up. It's like a step above Atari lol.
thanks Rob!! this yard was another fun one, only if i knew more about trains
Music to a resellers ears "the more you buy the cheaper it gets" & "but if you want to make me an offer"
i heard that and the eyes lit up. you could tell he wanted it all gone!
This guy had so much stuff at this sale. Unbelievable
he really did! i wish i knew a little more about trains when i went to it. i got a lesson afterwards from my buddy who went back and bought a lot of it
Nice pick up on the model cars Paul. You got an awesome deal. Thanks for sharing.
thanks joe! i was surprised, took that with no hesitation. thanks for watching
Hahaha! That opening edit though! 👌
Whoa tommy bernhard watching a prerecord and commenting??? Hahaha im trying!!
That was a nice sale and he knew it.

Wow that 2nd sale was nuts! I would have wanted EVERYTHING!! Great score on the Camaro
I wish i knew more about trains. Yea i can just look up comps but if i have no clue it goes and sits in my pile. I called a buddy who collects trains and he went over later and bought a bunch
Nice haul!! Sit and wait on that Camaro - Gotta have a Long Tail Seller mindset on that one!
thanks!!! i plan on waiting a while. my buddy who collects says he'd expect 150-200 on it.. with where comps are though i'll shoot higher for a while
Wow on the model kits.
You hit the jackpot with that's yard sale great video like always
thanks roxy! appreciate it
Soaring toward 700 Subs Paul! Nice man keep it up!

Love that Camaro pick up! Great job Paul!
thanks deena, it was a pretty sweet find. a buddy who collects went back and bought the opened one. thanks for watching!
Really good! Thanks for sharing!
thanks pete!
I would have dropped money on all of them. Models are money, new and used. Great pickup
Thanks derrick. There was another dude on the other end grabbing too. Im happy though.
Sweet pick up.. I remember that in television. But not for 500..
yea i really wanted it but max id go was 250-300. with him starting at 500 i didnt think there was a way to get him that low. thanks for watching!

haha you crazy??? noooo.. next time i'll def take all of it, i have to stop being so nice haha
Yeah that was steep for the Intellivision. I’ve seen them sold at the thrift for much cheaper. Nice pick ups though.
thanks Mo and yea there was no way I could pay that for Intellivision. it looked really cool having all the games and add-ons but thats too much
