Incredible collection of kits! Especially JO-Han kits. I used to buy those at a local hobby store in the Bay Area when I was growing up in the late 80's
Great collection ! , , ,I remember that Monogram '32 hot rod kit @25:01, that was one of the very first models I built back in 1968 at age 7, it was a $1 something at a Rexall drug store that was just 3 blocks away from our house
WOW!!! @12:00 on the complete right side the 2 Revell '37 Ford coupe street rod. I was fortunate enough in my youth to have built one of those, and it was one of my finer works as well. Cool to see it was part of this collection.
I had a collection that spanned the late 70's until 2006ish? I was working at walmart in the early 2000's, so bought a lot of clearance kits then. I recognized a lot of my collection in this video, which was fun, as I did sell my collection awhile back.
I collected model cars since I was a child. I am now 66. About 20 years agoI sold my collection of about 1000 kits and dealer promos. I cried when they left the house. I’m sure I didn’t get enough money out of them, but the finances got out of hand. I would be in heaven to see your collection. I have had most of the kit shown.
WOW.....SPECTACULAR..... IN LATE 50'S AND EARLY 60'S I HAD MY COLLECTIOON OF AMT 1:24 CAR MODELS. I SAW IN YOUR VIDEO SOME OF THE ORIGINAL BOXES. ALSO REVELL KITS. WHAT A MEMORIES!!
Unreal! Takes me right back to my childhood! What an unbelievable stash of modeling gold! Look forward to seeing much more of this! Congrats Andy! What a purchase!
I think the seller had his own hobby shop. The number of spares, accesories, several kits of the same and how was packed points to a seller more so than a collector. Just my opinion.
I agree. There are some gems in there that collectors would go for: Johan, old Craftsman and Revell kits not seen in over 50 years. But the rest are more common, easier to kits. Nothing really to do back flips over.
Thanks for sharing this. I am not a big fan of plastic car modelling but I truly appreciate people being ardent zealots of a hobby. And this is what you are guys. Hope this beomes an awesome starting point for your museum - this is definitely a great initiative to continue working on. Best wishes from the eastern Europe and all over across the Atlantic!
Amazing collection....do hope some of it can be preserved long term (your museum area idea is great). As an old drag racer, and former model kit builder/modifyer, really loved the Sox & Martin, Blue Max Funny Car, etc. Please...more videos!! 👍👍👍
I can just imagine some old-timer used to wooden car kits when the plastic ones came out: "kids these days! You got it easy! I don't trust this newfangled plastic stuff. It'll never last."
The Lincoln Futura 24:57 is a real winner. This the original car before Chuck Barris converted it to the Batmobile. Taking a Batmobile model and converting it back to the Lincoln Futura would make a cool display. That '60 DeSoto 7:13 is a rare one.
Lovely vid, you are a very lucky guy, and we are lucky that a guy like you found this stash. Loving the look of your shop too, wish we had something like that over here.
Model car heaven 😍if I would own such a collection I wouldn’t store them in boxes but displayed them all. Besides the love of building kits, I also love to watch the box art of my complete model car collection, that’s so satisfying.
late 70s early 80;s I worked for Canadian Hobbycraft ..have not seen a lot of those kits in over 40 years very cool to see someone saved all of those ,,you guys are very lucky
That looks like about how many boxes of kits I had when we moved a couple years ago. It took two trucks to get them all here to the new house...also climate controlled mine have been. Pretty cool. I will never get through all the ones I have...ever!
Wow. What a Gold mine. Not in to Cars myself, but what a Monster collection. ( have enough Trouble with the 30 yr old car I drive.) Cheers All and thx for Sharing Andy..!! Kim in Oz 😎
Andy You are the one to have this collection. I like the Idea of a Museum. would a Galaxie Trailer be for sale in the future? Or maybe some of those parts for Oval stockers?
@Randall Johnson I painted mine Coral and Pearl White. Was so enthusiastic when I received the kit as a Christmas present nearly 11 years ago. That left after reading through the instructions and dry fitting the first parts. Haven't touched it in probably 6 years now....
🎶 Memories...😁 Good stuff, Gents! I see a bunch of old kits that I destroyed as a kid! I was a little hard on things back then. I blame it on bad parenting mostly. When I was five, my dad took me to my first demolition derby. Every day after that, there was some kind of demolition derby at my house, so yeah, don't take little kids to see demolition derbies. Anyway, let's see some more of that stuff!
Glad you snagged those Andy, I know that some will go to a good home and the special ones can go to your museum - pick a good one to do your build on camera !
That's what I was thinking. Not much can be done with the kits, but the box art is where the memories are, and can and should be shared with the world.
Man, what a collection to find. You never know what people have stored away. My brother passed away and I got some of his kits and one in particular is a 59 ford retractable that I can't wait to build.not sure how old it is but by the look of the box it could be from the sixties.
I thought about the idea of a model museum. Someone needs to preserve this stuff.
Incredible collection of kits! Especially JO-Han kits. I used to buy those at a local hobby store in the Bay Area when I was growing up in the late 80's

12:10 I built the 56 Chevy Street machine way back in the 70s. Great kit!
Good Luck on the new shop. Looks Huge!!!.......AND am happy to watch a unboxing. You 2 are like kids at Christmas....Lol.👍.
Models are the reason why I love fixing cars today. I built over 400 kits, from 1972-1979.
WOW!!! @12:00 on the complete right side the 2 Revell '37 Ford coupe street rod. I was fortunate enough in my youth to have built one of those, and it was one of my finer works as well. Cool to see it was part of this collection.
Man I don’t even build cars but I loved y’all’s enthusiasm here 😊
3:13 all the custom wheels !!!! drooling
Build them all !!! The coolest colors and the deepest glosses. Build them all !!!
Let's just build them all and unleash the magic ✨
At 7.03 I was blown away! almost every model car kit I lusted after as a kid! What a score thanks for posting. Brings back fun memories
I had a collection that spanned the late 70's until 2006ish? I was working at walmart in the early 2000's, so bought a lot of clearance kits then. I recognized a lot of my collection in this video, which was fun, as I did sell my collection awhile back.
OMG 12:28 a Dukes of Hazzard Charger. I love these Car.
How much is a dukes of Hazzard general Lee worth

Back in the day your right.....just anybody couldn't build a model. It was tough. We've come a long way!😂
WOW.....SPECTACULAR..... IN LATE 50'S AND EARLY 60'S I HAD MY COLLECTIOON OF AMT 1:24 CAR MODELS. I SAW IN YOUR VIDEO SOME OF THE ORIGINAL BOXES. ALSO REVELL KITS. WHAT A MEMORIES!!

Same here John!
It is so wonderful to see those old kits, it take me back, and I'm sure a lot of guy's remember as well!
Now THAT’S treasure …excellent!👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽😸😸😸😸
This video brought a tear to my eyes! So many memories - I could just sit and look through these for days!
i am not into modelling but I really enjoyed listening to the enjoyment you guys were having popping these boxes. Thanks for sharing.
I think the seller had his own hobby shop. The number of spares, accesories, several kits of the same and how was packed points to a seller more so than a collector. Just my opinion.
I agree. Too much random stuff for a collector to have. More in line with a hobby store. Great stuff.
not much of a turnover, then, huh?
Looks like someones dad or granddad used to have a hobby shop.
Yeah, I thought that soon as I saw the type of cars he had aswell, 50s-70s muscle models scream hobby shop to me.
I agree. There are some gems in there that collectors would go for: Johan, old Craftsman and Revell kits not seen in over 50 years. But the rest are more common, easier to kits. Nothing really to do back flips over.
The idea of making a museum sounds like a great idea!
Wrong.
OMG! I love the way you’re thinking of making a mini museum to model kits and allowing others to enjoy your wind fall❤️❤️❤️
Andy that's a mega stash, the museum idea is perfect, I'm not a car modeler but wow. Fantastic
A huge massive collection. Very nice. Thank you for sharing.
WOW!!!!!! IS THIS COOL OR WHAT!!!!!! AND A MODEL KIT FORT!!!!!! THE COOLEST!!!!!!
15:05. I made the black 55 Chevy with the flame 40 years ago. Wow!
wow what a find. i remember alot of those kits from when i first got hooked on building.
Wow, a model of the d'Eligance! That in my opinion is one of the most beautiful cars ever built. The inspiration for the Karmann Ghia.
Man oh Man! What a haul. I'm not a car guy but, I'm still amazed! A museum is a great idea.
Great video guys. Love the enthusiasm, warm & fuzzy.
Amazing collection....do hope some of it can be preserved long term (your museum area idea is great). As an old drag racer, and former model kit builder/modifyer, really loved the Sox & Martin, Blue Max Funny Car, etc. Please...more videos!! 👍👍👍
I'm a child of the 60's...I think about all the stuff I should have bought and saved...It makes me wince...
Yeah but I for one didn't have the free cash back then. Now I can afford stuff I just don't have enough years to complete kits to my higher standards!
Really hope these don’t get opened or anything. There is channels that do that.
OH... Oh no
GREAT SCORE!! Museum deal is good idea, hopefully it won't be a super headache to inventory & get back into circulation.
I can just imagine some old-timer used to wooden car kits when the plastic ones came out: "kids these days! You got it easy! I don't trust this newfangled plastic stuff. It'll never last."

26:38 I had that Monogram Blue '56 Chevy Bel Air (bottom middle). Beautiful!
Although I do not much like car models, Tried but never got one finished, I love old model kits and share your enthusiasm for such a treasure trove!
Wow! What a great acquisition! Can’t wait to check your inventory on the website!
Im so glad these kits got saved. They found a good home.....Do the museum.
19:50 Someplace i have photos my dad took of some of the balsa kits like this that he built in the '50s.
Wow..what a find...I had quite a few of these in my collection of completed cars....thank you for the trip down memory lane
Wow you got a treasure there. I saw a couple model car kits i put together as a kid. Wow
You have been blessed. After I saw the thumbnail
I subscribed to your channel. When you opened that
First box my jaw dropped.
Awesome collection! I find these vintage models fascinating, especially for the artwork on the box.
Oh WOW ... 🤩😍🤩😲
Yes, keeping some and making a small museum area in the shop would be really cool!!!
What an amazing Find! ...and to think that I thought I was a hoarder of old kits before seeing this.
You'll be cataloguing this lot until hell freezes over. An incredible find.Regards from England.
Awesome stuff guy's I am glad for the doubles!!!
12:10 - I had the ' Supercharged '56 Chevy ' and the ' Dukes of Hazzard ' Kits back in the 70's
Lovely stash and would be fun just going through all those boxes...........like a big Lucky Dip!!
Wow a lot of these I personally built back in the day. Brings back great memories. Let the auction begin on the doubles that don’t go to the museum.
I think SMP was a forerunner of AMT. I think it stood for Scale Model Products. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
I'm not into plastic models and not into car models, but I drooled over this...!
I built some of these ! Most boys did in the 50's & 60' s ... 70's ......
So cool to see them !
Lovely vid, you are a very lucky guy, and we are lucky that a guy like you found this stash.
Loving the look of your shop too, wish we had something like that over here.
wow...i had a lot of those kits back in the 70s...congrats on this buy!
Model car heaven 😍if I would own such a collection I wouldn’t store them in boxes but displayed them all. Besides the love of building kits, I also love to watch the box art of my complete model car collection, that’s so satisfying.
Wow - hi rez scans on a website would be cool. A virtual museum takes no space!
Andy
Wow, what an amazing collection of car kits. All you need now, is to find a massive job lot of old military kits. That would be awesome.
Great Idea !!! Build it and I will come !!!
I built model cards from the 50s and 60s mainly. A few 30s and 40s. A lot of fun
I like autoscope mpc mustang 78 .
WOW i remember building some of those thanks guys.
"Scale auto magazine "-?? I learned something new today. Never heard of Jo-han,but thats a fantastic collection!

Now That, right there , is a legacy of American Automotive History. Thankyou for sharing this, you guys .
Loving the wood model kits!!!
Andy You are the one to have this collection. I like the Idea of a Museum. would a Galaxie Trailer be for sale in the future? Or maybe some of those parts for Oval stockers?
I have that Revell '59 Galaxie Skyliner kit. Never got beyond the painting stage.
@Randall Johnson I painted mine Coral and Pearl White. Was so enthusiastic when I received the kit as a Christmas present nearly 11 years ago. That left after reading through the instructions and dry fitting the first parts. Haven't touched it in probably 6 years now....
I’m not a model car guy…. but WOW!! I love the idea of a museum. Something I’d even travel to see in person.
WOW! Fantastic find 👍
Wow.. What a treasure !!!
🎶 Memories...😁
Good stuff, Gents! I see a bunch of old kits that I destroyed as a kid! I was a little hard on things back then.

I thought that paradise did not exist ... and bang! you upload this video. Greetings from Argentina.
Omg !!!! See ya this weekend lol
Oh. A new video from my favorite modeller/model shop owner! I wish we have someone like Andy back in the P.I. when I was a kid.
Those packages are so cool I'd take photographs and put them on t-shirts, maybe with the instruction diagrams overlapping on the front or back :)
That's what I was thinking. Not much can be done with the kits, but the box art is where the memories are, and can and should be shared with the world.
I don't even build cars and I'm blown away from this haul.
Andy are you going to post a list of the models you will be willing to sell. I seen several kits that I would like to have
I never really got into the cars but I have been into modeling since the 60's Tanks, planes, subs, and trucks, These are a blast from the past though!
A great video. I have alot of old models, but that. Is great.👍👍👍😈
Man, what a collection to find. You never know what people have stored away. My brother passed away and I got some of his kits and one in particular is a 59 ford retractable that I can't wait to build.not sure how old it is but by the look of the box it could be from the sixties.

Andy you are making me feel less guilty about my 130+ stash( in a one bed apartment!!) Way to go buddy, good for you :-)
don't feel guilty surrounding yourself with things you enjoy. you could spend your money on worse things.
Great purchase, some amazing kits right there! Congrats!
That would be awesome if you could make more videos... awesome score Andy!
