Were hitting back again on the revamp with another Sunsoft gem, because they are the company that gave us a golden era of great music, so here comes Batman: Return of the Joker! Sunsoft making a great decision to use the Batman license while they could, making this game more in line with the Batman comic book at the time and being self contained. Praised as the one of the best looking games on the NES, the sprites, animations and overall graphics make this one of the most impressive and hardware pushing games, while also remaining a tightly controlled and fun game to play! But of course, we are all here because of the fantastic soundtrack from the full sound team of Sunsoft! Kodaka pushing more fantastic tunes that stack up to the first game, with Hara & Seya implementing some of the best sounds to the Sunsoft Bass created by Morota, this soundtrack is always worth pulling up and listening to, with catchy melodies and the most badass bass ever, Sunsoft really made the NES the best it can be!
Love the new drawing of you! Kinda looks like Tom Cruise. And the gameplay in the background adds to it too!! And I mean this in all your vids, not just this one
This Soundtrack is incredible, it represents the '' Golden Age '' of Sunsoft, which certainly was on the NES, I have no doubt about it! Listen to that melody. It's wonderful! One of the best Batman games, and one of the best graphics and music for the NES. Sunsoft had a "magic team" at the company! Edit: Thank you Niko, for making this soundtrack again! Hugs here from Brazil! ;-)
18:20 such a rewarding ending theme…I remember when I finally beat this game I stood up and just stared at the screen like I’ve been thru a war. Such a bad ass game.
This takes me back to when i first played Return of the joker. The music just gives you that drive and determination to beat it lol. This entire soundtrack and game will forever be a part of me.
As a person who grove up as kid in the 90s with NES i can confirm that Sunsoft, Taito and Softel really made nes games with amazing graphic and music, even though Ultra Games, Capcom and Konami was way ahead of this other company and more famous There is something with Sunsoft and Taito that i feelt was amazing.
@@Chadius: As a child - When *not* building Legos, playing NES, Sega Genesis, or GameBoy, I'd Roleplay. When not Roleplaying as the baby, I'd pretend to fight baddies in rhino themed/shaped football gear. After the fight ended, I'd hold up my toy sword and pretend lightning recharged my energy.
To this day, I still can’t imagine the Title Screen theme of this game without also hearing Mike Matei Joker laughing next to a tied up James Rolfe Batman.
This game feels like they started out making something else, then decided to throw the Batman license that they had from Batman: The Video Game on it. Don't get me wrong, this game is great and it's a lot of fun, but it doesn't feel like a Batman game. That being said, the music is top notch and the Niko treatment makes it even better.
People would look at me like I just fell off the moon or something when I'd say a certain piece of music from a video game was actually great. Journey to Silius springs instantly to mind. *( Why so Silius?) They'd be like: 'You actually LIKE this music? You think it's cool?' Yes, I do, actually. Here we are in 2024 with 20K views on this music video, so who's laughing now?
Its too bad this game is notoriously difficult to emulate the only way to play it is by having a physical copy in most cases and all because of this sound chip
Doubt it. He is probably doing it for fun, as I can see he isn’t running ads through his vids. I did that with some 8 bit songs I had made. I would add echo or reverb and it would sound better.

2:00 Yes there's that sweet sounding song

Oooo you added the "Gold Batman" boss power up SFX! I loved Sunsoft's extra touches on the Batman universe.
Gold Batman Power Up???
@@Alysa-Aiday when you start a boss fight Batman calls lightning to power him up.

ahhh I see you're a man of culture as well
Legitimately my favourite Nerd episode aside from maybe Ikari Warriors.
@@BB-te8tc for me it’s the ninja gaiden episode
"Have fun motherfucker!!! Wooohahahahaha!!!"
Love Naoki Kodaka’s work

That stage 1 theme is just so freakin good man!
Excellent job redoing this one
NES version sounds better then Genesis/Mega Drive version.
The Genesis remake, Revenge of the Joker is quite disappointing.
Sunsoft only made the NES version, a different company made the Genesis version.
The Genesis ending music is a real bop though.
Thank you 🙋
GPZT password for last level , also do the bat dance !
ГПЗТ :)
I did the Bat-Dance on the first level in my stream revisiting this game, check it out on the channel if you'd like lol!
Do the bat dance!
This very awesome OVER9000/10!
I wonder if the unused theme might've been a password music.
Great game.
One of those games that definitely would've kept Nintendo fans happy while they wait for the SNES and try to avoid giving in to buy a Genesis.
Sunsoft created the chip tune that every 80s kid would remember
How does the bass sound so good in a NES game?
People would look at me like I just fell off the moon or something when I'd say a certain piece of music from a video game was actually great.

This and Battletoads always looked like SEGA games. Too much for the NES console.
Please, could you also add the music to the Game Boy version of this game?
HA ha HA ha HA ha HA

As a game, it wasn't actually very good. Soundtrack was excellent though.
Why are you reposting the same stuff you've had on youtube for years? Desperate for money?
More likely an improvement in technique, particularly with some of the older submissions.
you should tell MKiceandfire and sharriko that because they redoing walkthoughs that they did for the money

Straight from the video description:
"updated into a new "8BS Mixed" format with less echo/reverb and to sound more clear and crisp than ever before"
Why are you asking such a dumb question that is answered in the video description? Desperate to show us how much of an asshole you are?
