Visited Omega store on Regent Street last month. Excellent service, adjusted my watch while I waited with a coffee and nice conversation. Just another must go to store for any enthusiastic Omega lovers. Cheers
I second the Omega on Regent St! Came in looking for a specific heirloom watch (I've aged rather gracefully and look early 20's) and the staff were lovely. A real hidden gem watch place is Guildford, for those of you who don't like the over-the-top nature of Bond St etc.
Ok great you got me back with this one, didn’t know about Hatton garden. Or the market. Next trip to London I will look them up. Got to pick up my 806 from Bond Street boutique soon.
The Watches of Switzerland on Brompton Road (a couple of doors down from the Seiko boutique in the video) is a lovely place too. The staff in there are generally very pleasant to deal with. The chap that mans the Lange concession in Harrods (at least when I’ve visited) was more than happy to have a natter about watches. And if you find yourself in Hatton Garden and in need of coffee, check out Prufrock on Leather Lane (which runs parallel to Hatton Garden), it serves some of the best coffee in London.
Great travel guide Adrian👌 would love to see you do some fieldwork in Switzerland. I love that you highlight experience. IMO, it is in some AD’s and brand boutiques you get the ultimate watch buying experience. Far better than their reputation. Get the best possible deal and trade less frequently...some vintage dealers are great too for different reasons.
I love going to Bond Street but yet to visit Hatton Garden (now on the list along with the others). I had my first visit to the RSC at St James yesterday to change an insert on my GMT (Pepsi to Coke), amazing service and very friendly. Great video 👍
Geezer It’s great. They were even happy that I took my English Springer Spaniel in with me. Shame they are closing to the public on Friday for 9 months for renovations.
0:47 shot! Hatton Garden is a trade environment. An arena for the expert where you are expected to know what you are buying, the people that work there take your money they don't show you how to use a watch. A bit like comparing a car auction to a car dealership. If you just want to buy a car cheap as possible go to the auction, if you want to sold a car and have a nice coffee go to a dealership!
I've been to them all except Portobello Rd. Burlington Arcade is one of my favourite places, followed by Bond Street. Hatton Garden was a brief visit and hope to spend more time there next time. Harrods was as can be expected ultra high end and great to see. Selfridges Wonder room is amazing. For me a steady walk in the burlington arcade with coffee in hand is an experience in itself. Then out onto Bond Street for a steady stroll. I love it.
Just about half way in the Burlington Arcade is (A little Hat shop) I was blown away to find that this shop made the hat for Harrison Ford in Raiders of the lost Ark and also "Odd Jobs!" hat in the 1964 Bond film - Gold finger
Brilliant Video Adrian 👏 I knew about Bond Street and Burlington Arcade from your previous videos but definitely got to check out Portabello market looks awesome 👌🏻
Gotta ask . . . why would the PANERAI Boutique be empty? I bought a Luminor GMT from that very place, mainly because I couldn't obtain a new ROLEX GMT MASTER from anywhere. The PAN is superior to the ROLEX in every way except value retention :-( but as I generally don't trade its a mute point
The Seiko Boutique is amazing, that was the first and only time I could get my hands on a Grand Seiko. I had my SARB035 on me and had a nice chat, I really appreciated that they treated me no different from any other richer (looking, at least) customer.
Dear Adrian, thank you very much for your awesome video... now my next London-trip is really well prepared ! ;-) I`m an enthusastiatic watch collector from germany , and since today i am a loyal fan of your channel :-) god save the queen... sincerely yours , Tom
@@BarkandJack I bought the two from two different places, when I got the Explorer earlier this year, they sized it for me but did not put the link back in properly, went to a spa and the watch fell off my wrist and lightly dinged the polished side, would have been worse had I not broke the fall with my foot. Not happy about it, I do bash my watches about but I'd like to be the one doing the bashing. Was pissed at the time but people are human and sometimes mess up :P There's a really nice blue tudor sub in another shop there but they are so overpriced. I keep being tempted to get the blue Pelagos instead but the yellowed lume on the LHD which I also have makes it hard to look at the plain white on the other ones in comparison!
Went to Burlington Arcade as well as many other ADs when my wife and I were in London for a couple of days before holidaying in Bath. Amazing stock of watches but the prices are simply insane!!
I love my PAM 111 but most seem to have got tired of them. You glcan get great deals on them now in Grey and private markets. Buy new and you'll take a real hair cut.
A really good informative video Adrain. Thanks. More of this kind of content please. This is really helped me greatly as I'll be in London in the coming weeks and wanted to have a look around a few (a lot) of watch shops. Keep it real man like your early videos. I felt you were straying a bit in some of your more recent videos but I enjoyed this. Thanks. I Still don't like nato straps thought 😋
I went into Armour Winston in the Burlington Arcade to look at a Hulk and the guys in there were really helpful and knowledgeable, no pressure, try it on, too expensive? No problem.
Got my first Rolex at Harrods many years ago. I was just at a number of Rolex boutiques in Paris and nary a steel sports model to be found. Is this the same situation in London and Glasgow Adrian?
I know the new Rolex steel sports are missing from many dealers windows...but there are plenty of mint used ones in Bournemouth... the batman both old and new version (jubilee bracelet) on sale side by side 12k and 15k respectively...hulk too.... Used Breitling looks like a bargain at the moment....man I love the aerospace/airwolf lines.... Ps... do you grind your own coffee ?
I have been following this channel closely. This video was untimely as I just left London yesterday. I was looking to buy a Sub. There was no stainless steel Sub at the ADs I visited at Oxford Street. But I was offered a Bluesy. I thought I if I passed this opportunity I would leave London empty handed. So I did pull the trigger, largely bec of the substantial tax rebate. How often can a walk in customer buy a 2 tone sub from a London AD?
I was recently in London in a random bar. Spotted two subs, an explorer, an IWC and a nice cartier. Love the city. Here in germany i am happy when i see someone wearing a SKX every half a year :D Thanks for the NATO strap btw. Just received it. Love it.
First time I visited Burlington arcade, and saw the watches in the windows, my jaw dropped to the flaw. I also love how some insane Rolexes are labelled as “very rare”!
Great video. But I’m confused. I keep hearing about the wait lists for all kinds of pieces. Yet you showed footage of many watches. If they’re in stock, can you buy them? Or are they served for other people?
Rune Posselt available in the sense that you can still get on the wait list, but they told me (while I was there picking up my Harrods BB) they heard Tudor will be discontinuing the Harrods edition this month, December 2019.
Good, informative vid. As a potential addition to your list I’ve had some very good experiences when buying vintage pieces with Austin Kaye in the Strand, friendly knowledgeable staff and the prices are okay-ish.
If you want to be sneaky when you record just hit the video record button and hold the phone up to your ear like you are talking to someone and move about slowly to make it smooth. Of course no one loves to watch videos in vertical mode but it gets the job done discreetly.
I love the watch content and I'm glad you are getting sponsorship and your video to support the channel and opportunities for content, personally I would prefer all the sponsorship to be together, I was a little jarred and annoyed about where you placed your word from your sponsorship after already hearing about it at the beginning of the video. I love the content you put out and by no means will this keep me from viewing just my reaction to it.
Hi Matthew, thanks a lot for the feedback. Unfortunately I’m under contract for the layout. But I will certainly keep that in mind if I do future sponsored videos.
Hi Adrian, thanks for the awesome content as always. Say me and my friend went into Patek on Bond Street (we’re both 25 but look 19 😅) how are they likely to treat us. I mean we have Rolex’s but we can’t afford a Patek. Any chance they’ll let us try one on? Cheers, Ramesh
There was one in the Burlington Arcade, but when I went to record this video it seems they have moved on. The rent there is crazy high. The end shop still sells a lot of vintage omega, but they do other brands too.
Travelling to London later this fall - should I be so lucky that the Seiko store might have some SARB033 love in stock? I know it’s JMD and I know they have discontinued it but I’m still hunting for one (not absurd priced)
Really great piece mate. Wish I’d known when I was in London in August, back in New Zealand now but I’m sure all the places you’ve mentioned will still be around in five years or so when I’ll likely next pop in to London.
Got my Rolex 16613 from Burlington Arcade. Great place and recommended. Don’t like Hatton Garden, no customer care from my experience and feels dodgy but it’s probably not...
The guys in Grays are great if you get to know them. Obviously they are not ADs. They’re not going to fawn over you, give you catalogues and offer you youtube collaborations! This is why I like them. Straightforward dealing, no bullshit and the odd bargain.
Hi Lester, I’m glad you had a good experience with them. I’ve been going to Grays for about 4-5 years (way before youtube!) and I’ve never had a good experience with them. In fact I’ve found some of the dealers rude.
Nice video, thanks. I can recommend Bucherer Rolex at 1 Hyde Park for excellent customer service and every one of the guys I’ve dealt with in Harrods have been amazing, particularly Harrison in the Lange & Soehne boutique - really passionate guy who loves the brand and has lots of time for you. I’ve had very mixed experiences in Burlington arcade but I’ll leave that one there. Dominic Hackett in Hatton Garden is a true gentleman and a great dealer. ✌🏼
Absolutely. They were happy to sit and talk about my 1973 Rolex Oyster 6694. Gave me a Rolex glove too. Conversely. The new Bucherer store in Covent garden was dreadful. Aggressive security, and staff that simply refused to engage.
06:15 Don't tell people our iPhone secrets!!! That happened to me at Buckingham Palace tour. Snotty 16 year old girl working there was like: "Delete the footage now." I deleted it, it was just in the foyer, anyways. And she rolled her eyes. Later, just popped it back into my main files. 😂😜
Grays market “second time around “the owner is a great guy took his time with me made me go away and think about the watch I wanted came back the deal was done no pressure the owner was more concerned I made the right choice I wouldn’t say anything negative about my experience. Adrian great video but sometimes you actually need to have to whole experience before you pass comment not having a pop just giving you my experience 👍
I’m glad to hear you had a good experience with Second Time Around. He was really quite rude to me. I’ve been going there for about 4 years now and I’ve never had a good experience with the dealers in there.
Bark and Jack i must have caught them on a good day maybe ! I think the first impression counts for everything and I understand having that experience you wouldn’t go back. A lot of people give watchfinder mixed review but I alway use Brent Cross and have built up a good relationship with them and even though they charge a premium it seems the more you trade the better deal you get as I guess a valued customer witch I hope I am,I’m trying to own one watch so I don’t keep going back.wish me luck 😂
Brizzy 91270 I have viewed a few watches from watchfinder (grandfinder) over the years.... overpriced for over polished stock, but I’m glad you have been happy with the Brent Cross store,I’ve never been there 🤔
Matthew Dale I’ve had a few Rolex’s never had an over polished one I’ve always had the impression if the watch isn’t a certain standard it wouldn’t be of interest to them as for Brent Cross it’s not a big store but always ask for manager or deputy as they are very knowledgable 👍
Always had a good experience with Second Time Around... And yes I would recommend them...Perhaps it's when you know as much as you do being an expert and all that watch stuff...May be you can come across as being a bit threatening to some folk who are just trying to make a living and that's the last thing anyone wants when they are just trying to get through the day without being complained about shouted at or robbed as they have been...and you come along.......May be you should try doing a days work selling watches in London and then make your comments....just saying that's all....
I'd like to do one in Glasgow. I think it would be a cool thing to do with Rikki from Scottish watches. I really like the new Explorer 2, it's far too big for me. But a great watch.
Bond street to expensive your paying for the experience....portabella market is good but if you're buying for you do your home work. Remember the plain Jane watches are the ones to go for they hold there price and fashion and remember 2 things .....you make your profit when you buy . And second stick to one brand if your dealing.......
Visited Omega store on Regent Street last month. Excellent service, adjusted my watch while I waited with a coffee and nice conversation. Just another must go to store for any enthusiastic Omega lovers. Cheers
It's great to hear you had good service there.

A real hidden gem watch place is Guildford, for those of you who don't like the over-the-top nature of Bond St etc.
Yeah and unlike Rolex they don't treat you like you just came off a banana boat.
I love how you are still recording with the mall cop in the background the instant you are kicked out.
Ok great you got me back with this one, didn’t know about Hatton garden. Or the market. Next trip to London I will look them up. Got to pick up my 806 from Bond Street boutique soon.

Mark P I agree with Adrian about Hatton Garden

Whats the name of the track starting at 4:31 with the country guitar and scratching on the male vocal ?

Adrian, I have a question. Do you think you will ever buy a Patek?
I really hope so. But it won’t be for a while.
Bought a Sub 16610 in Grey's back in 2007. The dealer had massive selection ... including COMEX Sea Dwellers, if only I had crystal ball! Damn!!!
Dear Adrian, thank you very much for your awesome video... now my next London-trip is really well prepared ! ;-) I`m an enthusastiatic watch collector from germany , and since today i am a loyal fan of your channel :-) god save the queen... sincerely yours , Tom
That’s great to hear Tom.
I hope you have a good time in London.
Cheers,
Adrian
The Lemania RAF monopusher chrono I love. THANKS
Awesome watch isn’t it!
Hamilton-Juan *Royal Navy
I work in Hatton Garden. Pateks everywhere.
Are the hands still attached to the arm of the wearer.

Got my Hulk and Explorer II from Burlington Arcade. What choice did I have :( Nice guys though.
They do give a good service. 👍🏻

Really useful, thanks Adrian - a couple I hadn’t heard of
I was there today and you are right different vibes then on bond street...
Went to Burlington Arcade as well as many other ADs when my wife and I were in London for a couple of days before holidaying in Bath. Amazing stock of watches but the prices are simply insane!!
There's also a Grand Seiko boutique in Burlington Arcade now
This is a fun video, thank you for showing us your home turf.
Been to Bond Street .. and all around central London! The place is filled up to the brim with watches.... Amazing place.
As a fan of the channel and a Panerai owner, I am now curious on your opinion on Panerai haha. Any chances that will become a video?
Panerai is going out of business soon. Soooo Uncool.
I love my PAM 111 but most seem to have got tired of them. You glcan get great deals on them now in Grey and private markets. Buy new and you'll take a real hair cut.
I am interested in a Grundig tube reel recorder TK 46 or TK 47. Please advise
Watches of Switzerland in Soho, New York City, is very nice, too. Wonderful, attentive, non-snobbish salespeople.
I was there a couple of weeks ago. It's a very cool store. It has a more interesting and welcoming vibe than the one I mentioned in the video.
Bark and Jack is that the new one?
3:42 that patek street clock is awesome!!
Are Hatton Garden prices cheaper than elsewhere?
Nice video, thanks. I live in London and have only seen a few of these. Great tip about portobello market!
Thanks for watching Daniel. 👍🏻

How's the wait for a Harrods BB these days?
Got my first Rolex at Harrods many years ago. I was just at a number of Rolex boutiques in Paris and nary a steel sports model to be found. Is this the same situation in London and Glasgow Adrian?
How is the shortage of some Rolex models in London right now at the AD’s ? Have things came back to normal ?
Gee, I don’t know are you a joker ?
I know the new Rolex steel sports are missing from many dealers windows...but there are plenty of mint used ones in Bournemouth... the batman both old and new version (jubilee bracelet) on sale side by side 12k and 15k respectively...hulk too....

sorry if not good news
Any recommendations for NYC? Especially for good second hand or /and vintage shops? Thanks!
Adrian, who are the Redbar guys to ask for at the Seiko boutique?
Random Q - What brand shirt are you wearing? Looks extremely comfy
I think it’s just a gap T-shirt. Most of my Ts are from gap. 👍🏻
Very informative. I look forward to visiting these place soon. Apart from Grays perhaps.
Man...would love to check out that Seiko shop!
I was recently in London in a random bar. Spotted two subs, an explorer, an IWC and a nice cartier. Love the city. Here in germany i am happy when i see someone wearing a SKX every half a year :D
Thanks for the NATO strap btw. Just received it. Love it.
First time I visited Burlington arcade, and saw the watches in the windows, my jaw dropped to the flaw. I also love how some insane Rolexes are labelled as “very rare”!
The prices are laughable, but they quickly drop them as soon as you question them.
Bark and Jack yep the prices are unreal brilliant window shopping though 👍
I think you mean your jaw dropped to the FLOOR.
Great video. But I’m confused. I keep hearing about the wait lists for all kinds of pieces. Yet you showed footage of many watches. If they’re in stock, can you buy them? Or are they served for other people?
Is the Harrods edition Black Bay still available at Harrods?
Rune Posselt available in the sense that you can still get on the wait list, but they told me (while I was there picking up my Harrods BB) they heard Tudor will be discontinuing the Harrods edition this month, December 2019.
What about clerkenwell ? There are three watch shops together!
Good, informative vid. As a potential addition to your list I’ve had some very good experiences when buying vintage pieces with Austin Kaye in the Strand, friendly knowledgeable staff and the prices are okay-ish.
Watches of Switzerland has fantastic customer service. Easy to deal with too.

Bark and Jack no worries mate I assumed it would be something like that, keep on hustlin’.
I've recently bought a watch from bucherer online for not a lot of money 500 pounds there customer service was excellent big shout out to them 😎
But where to go for discounts
Hi Adrian, thanks for the awesome content as always. Say me and my friend went into Patek on Bond Street (we’re both 25 but look 19 😅) how are they likely to treat us. I mean we have Rolex’s but we can’t afford a Patek. Any chance they’ll let us try one on? Cheers, Ramesh
Isn’t there an official vintage omega dealer in London?
There was one in the Burlington Arcade, but when I went to record this video it seems they have moved on. The rent there is crazy high. The end shop still sells a lot of vintage omega, but they do other brands too.
Bark and Jack Is the end shop not Somlo, who have probably the strongest ties with Omega of any shop except an AD. They have been there for ages.
Went to Burlington arcade once, was looking for a sub won’t be going again overpriced to hell and also snobby as anything
Travelling to London later this fall - should I be so lucky that the Seiko store might have some SARB033 love in stock? I know it’s JMD and I know they have discontinued it but I’m still hunting for one (not absurd priced)
They look well but the movement sucks mine gains 2 mins a day
Weak eye dominant Dang! Might be able to be calibrated?
Is the Wonder Room at Selfridges still open? I was in there a few years ago and the service was great but be prepared to go full retail.
ID on shades? Thanks
Rayban folding wayfarers 👍🏻
What’s the name of that estate with all the friendly kids selling discount rolexes?
Joe SHANGHAI - Broadwater Farm.
Interesting... cheers Adrian. Rarely go there but if I do I know where to go now. Cheers 👍
Do you miss London or happy in Glasgow?
Really great piece mate. Wish I’d known when I was in London in August, back in New Zealand now but I’m sure all the places you’ve mentioned will still be around in five years or so when I’ll likely next pop in to London.
I don’t get the mention of Panerai being a place to go for peace and quiet?
They aren’t a popular brand at the moment, therefore that AD would be a place of peace compared to the busy others ADs.
Bark and Jack oh right. I’ve just bought a Panerai and love it. Is it the after sales service?
No mention of Selfridges - London ?
But otherwise thanks for the information
So what's the deal with Panerai? I was in the Bond Street boutique a few weeks back. Are they worth the investment?
James Moody no
Great guide Adrian. Cheers!
Thanks for watching Andy.
Fantastic video. Thank you Adrian...now I just need to visit London :)
Got my Rolex 16613 from Burlington Arcade. Great place and recommended. Don’t like Hatton Garden, no customer care from my experience and feels dodgy but it’s probably not...
Same as the Mart in downtown L.A.’s jewelry district.
Why the Panerai hate ?
I actually really like Panerai, but it’s true, Panerais are fairly unpopular in the UK.
Bark and Jack True i do tend to pick up a fair few comments when I wear my Luminor out and about hope your well mate
I’m sure. I always like seeing them about. And I actually believe their popularity will grow. They are huge in America.
Best video ever from u, congrats
Thanks so much Alex. 👍🏻
Really enjoyed this one. Thank you. 🙏
Finally! Thanks Adrian.
I think nowadays Bucherer Paris-Opéra is supposed to be the biggest European watch store - that is, even if you include the UK into Europe 😉
Very Informative- I kinda wish you had this content last year when we went to London 🇬🇧🙃
Bark and Jack Absolutely. I would never say someone’s wrong, it’s all about their particular experience. Thanks.
Great video and great content as always 👍
I’m amazed you don’t hear of smash & grabs done at Hatton Garden ?
BANDJ doesn't work in Ireland :-(
It does here in Westmeath 😂😂😂👌🇮🇪
Good video 👌📹 thanks
Nice video, thanks. I can recommend Bucherer Rolex at 1 Hyde Park for excellent customer service and every one of the guys I’ve dealt with in Harrods have been amazing, particularly Harrison in the Lange & Soehne boutique - really passionate guy who loves the brand and has lots of time for you. Absolutely. They were happy to sit and talk about my 1973 Rolex Oyster 6694. Gave me a Rolex glove too.
Conversely. The new Bucherer store in Covent garden was dreadful. Aggressive security, and staff that simply refused to engage.
Ditch the intrusive and unrelated sponsorship.
Great video ,thanks.
Cheers for this, Adrian!
No mention of the store that let you have a Batman when everyone wanted one (they still do!)???
They were out in a Westfield shopping centre. Not really somewhere worth making the trip.
Bark and Jack plus they have probably banned you for selling it on 🥂🍾
Bark and Jack I dunno why but I thought you got it from Bucherer. Must have been a bad memory. There’s many of them in London, one in selfridges etc.
do watch shopping in ur videos..
i meen talk about stores.. and show the prices of the watchs....

Ouch.....bit harsh on Panerai!!!
You Gona do the same in Glasgow? What’s your take on the larger newer explorer 2 polar? Thinking of adding it even though I have the older version
I'd like to do one in Glasgow. I think it would be a cool thing to do with Rikki from Scottish watches. I really like the new Explorer 2, it's far too big for me. But a great watch.
And you left the City out?....Royal Exchange and Leadenhall Market...
Westfield for 2nd tier of watch brands
Bond street to expensive your paying for the experience....portabella market is good but if you're buying
for you do your home work.
Remember the plain Jane watches are the ones to go for they hold there price and fashion and
remember 2 things .....you make your profit when you buy .
And second stick to one brand if your dealing.......
Cheers Adrian!
Will check your hints in mid November. Many thx
Where's the best place to shop phor watches in Paris......Texas?
