R8s need about -3deg camber, wider front tires(255) with stock 305 width rear to dial out some understeer and give the front axle some more steering response. The car doesnt need any extra power on the track. 600+hp is more than enough! Great lap following the GT3, Misha!!!
I’m super impressed with that GT4. My heart has a soft spot for that car and seeing it keep up with two power punchers like that is exactly what I like to see. That must’ve been a seriously fun lap.
For months now my girlfriend always comes in while im intensly watching Misha tear the ring up, and asks why i always watch this guy and how boring it must be. Now she watches every video with me. haha Keep em coming Misha!!
What a legend! These boys having fun is the best part. I did a lot of track driving in Europe , mostly fast bikes. Of course everybody is pushing for a quick lap times, but the best part was sharing this experience with friends...

From a viewer standpoint, this is the most enjoyable video I've watched from you. Watching an R8 dances with 2 (later 3) Porsches is quite incredible. Going the fastest may be fun, but having fun with others is more fun 😆

Yo, it felt like the porsche handled better cornering (auto diff) but you were quicker even though the audi had some understeering as you were going faster to catch up to him. That was real nice, people with a shared passion for cars having fun at a track day

I don't think that was close. On streets this would be close (you never know how much people keep attention) but on a track you mostly have the best possible reaction time.
The difference of visual effort between you in the R8 fighting to make the car turn and the two Porsche, wow !... No word can say more than that video about the difference between a sport GT and a real track focused car

It never stood the slightest chance. Right after Hatzenbach the GT3 RS was already gone and out of sight. He waited for the R8 multiple times, traffic, etc. In fact, it is fascinating how much of a difference is between those cars.
Nice driving with that smart 4x4 system at the limit of those tires! ... it is entertaining to see a train of cars all moving smoothly through traffic and having fun... the guy in the Porsche gets a free chase video! everybody wins! Cheers!!

😂😂 i didnt even notice it at first & I am a huge VW enthusiast; having a mkIV jetta glx vr6 as first car with motor+trans mounts (what a major difference in putting power to the ground those made) + other tasteful mods, then i went on to own a TR MKIV .:R32 as my 2nd car. Once an elderly woman t-boned me while i was sitting at a red light, it was totaled at 76k miles (i cried) & luckily i found a mint DBP MKIV R32 two weeks later from a real enthusiast with all suspension work done + tune etc. I had that .:R from 72k miles until i sold it at 133k miles on stock clutch & still good life on the brake pads (dead serious). I 100% took such good care for those cars, as I absolutely loved them more than anyone thought they knew (my friends would tell me to drive the car more) 😅 Anyway, sorry for this story but during that whole time, I wouldve given a kidney for a Corrado VR6 😂😍
Just an idea and IDK if its even viable, given the noise pollution, to get two of those Rhode Wireless Microphone systems and clip them onto the seatbelts or something. It can get pretty hard to hear sometimes if there is alot of talking going on. I feel it would be so good for capturing their reactions as well
Great car control with those cold tires Misha, could see how slidy that was especially at the beginning! Also the nice thing about the pre-facelift model is the shorter gearing, as you can see by the fact that it does top speed in 7th 😉
I really love the pack/convoy lead follow sessions, as it builds another layer of intensity and suspense. Also cool to know if you signal to move over and the faster approaching car flashes in response, that he wants you to keep your position to lead/follow 👍🏻. I tried the same thing here in america about 10 years ago, in which the car behind me was flashing his lights all crazy and what not, so i was like hell yea lets have a quick session my guy. We were real tight with each other at about 100mph on these back country roads. About 3 miles in his friends showed up as well following us and something just didnt feel right at that point... Turns out he "Really!!" didnt want to have a quick session and his friends didnt either. Police just need to chill out sometimes.

Any R8 seriously needs an alignment for the track. They're capable, just not setup well

This car need to Cup2 or any semi-slicks but a owner said it's a road car. R8 V10 8,5k rpm sound are awesome !!
Crazy how an R8, which is basically a super GT on road tyres, can fight this hard against a 911 GT3 RS running track tyres.

No chance at all. I love the R8, but its way too sketchy, not planted, even if we assume to get rid of the understeer somehow.
