This is one of the reasons Misha's such as experienced driver, he experiences these close calls all the time. Amazing to watch as always!
Exactly, it's one thing to go fast, but saving the car in an incident can be what makes a true driver
Reminds me of when Sabine was driving that transit van and the hamster was asking her how many times she'd gone round the ring and she said over ten thousand. Then he asks how many shunts shes had and she laughs and says too many to count.
Coming from aviation videos where they talk about unbelievable safety and mitigation of any risk to this is such a stark contrast. The only hangup I have is I hope these passenger's fully understand the risks of one of these going 10% worse and ending up in the wall at those speeds.
@@watt6281 But that's true for Flying vs Driving in general though. Its always going to be more dangerous to drive for a litany of reasons.

Let’s be honest, every time I go the the Nurburgring there is people in shitboxes for a nice joyride, seen some guy lose a wheel before. And a lot of people don’t prepare for the Nurburgring.
I have a 1991 Lancer GTI 16v, and while the stock brakes ARE pretty damned good, I would most definetly take a good look at them and make sure the lines are PERFECT and they dont fade AT ALL even under track conditions. So far I only have managed to make them hot, to the point where the rim burns my hand a tiny bit, but never faded on me. Still, I rather take it easy just in case. Downhill touges in general are very scary.
If I were to ever go to the nurb, id get better pads, make sure they get all the cooling I can, and lighten the car as much as possible. Without spare and half a tank its only 1020kg, but some panels are starting to show rust spots after I painted it whole, so I could use an aluminum or even glass fiber hood for example.
Definetly better rims and tires, 14 inchers dont give me much choice
@@BasedMan them stock brakes may be good for the road, but even with new pads, those brakes wouldnt last 10 mins.
thats if you thrash it around corners.

The passengers reaction at the first fail is absolutely LEGENDARY. Most would've buckled and cover their face but not him he looks at the other driver and just sits there like nothing happened.

I saw the video, there was a incident ahead, was a yellow flag if I'm not wrong.....the car failed to spot the flag and traffic ( maybe because it was a corner) and had to go onto the grass to avoid collision....... Happened with the apex taxi gt2rs also some time back

Usually, I see 240-260 km/h on this part of the track
No, the plaid was fastest through here with him, second fastest was the Ferrari sf90 - 296 km/h, but I think Misha was a bit afraid to push it to the max in his first drive ever as it’s quite expensive:)

1 question , why are you using your left foot for brakes on manual and automatick gear box ? im just curios.
The first one you cannot blame the blue car, that was a crest before the turn. I bet he couldn't see you going way faster than him and diving into his inside. After checking the mirror and making sure it is clear, he would've focused on the turn ahead.
