Depending on where you're at, you can get a premium for the price of a Base. I bought my premium 23 back in May 2023 and haggled it down to the base cost because many dealerships in my area had difficulty selling WRX’s. It comes down to you as the buyer. If you genuinely feel that the extra items that come with the limited are worth the price, get it. FYI, if you're getting it strictly on performance, the premium or base handles the same as the limited manual. Weight it out, though; MSRP limited versus getting savings on a premium will save you around 8k.
i've had and have all and from my experience. 1. Adaptive Tilt headlight -u won't notice it or at least it doesn't make a big difference in term of night driving. so don't be bothered. by the time headlight tilts, u already finished ur turn. 2. LED DRL - u r inside, won't see it anyway. and nobody look at your DRL like you don't look at their DRLs 3. blindspot monitor - I have blind spot camera as well but I still do shoulder check and u can always replace to wide angle side mirror 4. moonroof - Texas.. rarely used so no need..and c'mon...no panoramic in 2020s!? 5. suede seat - cloth grips you better and better durability 6. power adjustable seat - yes i like this one 😄 7. fancier interior trim - wrx interior isn't fancy from the beginning so don't be bothered. if u want fancy interior, get something else lol 8. wrx hk sound system - trust me..i think they've used cheapest HK system. i have HK on my X5 and i thought subaru used Chinese knock off. just upgrade to ur own system if these bothers u, yes go for limited.
@@mike_cerraI went unlimited because all the dealerships around me had Harmon Kardon/Sunroof options which put the price at $37,000. For 2 grand more I got the nicer seats, Navigation (which doesn’t need cell towers), and the other goodies.
it sounds nitpicky .. but no power seats and the actual seat quality was subpar coming from leather .. but just not being able micro adjust the seat is such a deal breaker. so I went limited. I would say don’t feel jealous of people with higher trims or save for it.
In my country kuwait Middle East all the specifications were not available from the dealer only to option limited with manual only and the GT model automatic.. My car is a Limited manual but it is missing some specifications, such as Harman cardon speakers, heated seats, and factory maps ,and car rang alarm in keys .. I bought it two months ago and the last car was a 2022 model and it had a discount brand new i buy it 29.574$ The 2024 model is not yet available because the car is not in high demand and the quantity has not finished, 2023 models 😂🤷♂️
In the 6 months I've owned my WRX I've averaged close to 24 mpg combined. If you're doing a lot of city driving that's where the WRX struggles for fuel economy but if you're primarily on backroads and on the highway it's not too bad as a daily commuter.
Premium 12 package is just fine. 40k is a bit much for the difference in comfort. Seats are ok… the WRX upholstery looks a bit much, almost a bit lame in my opinion I tend to like the cleaner look on cars.
Very happy with my Premium and most certainly didn’t “cheap out”. If the Limited had Recaro seats and Brembo brakes then it would be worth the price imo.
I went with the Premium with the moon roof and HK sound option. The ultra suede in the limited should have just been regular leather seats and the instrument panel, shift boot and panels surrounding the shifter should have been ultra suede. For near 40k, there is no legitimate reason why they couldn't have given you that for the limited. I had a base model 2016 Impreza before my premium WRX and the leather wrapped steering wheel also feels cheap. That should have been carbon fiber or had ultra suede grips as well.
It's crazy to me that subaru makes you get what used to be the top manual trim just to get a basic safety feature (blind spot)
Enjoying the VB content as i cross shop the Limited to the Integra A-spec manual! Thanks for doing these!

I have a base, the only thing I don’t like is the speakers, other than that, I love my base 23 Rex

Loving the wrx videos. Thanks foe the in depth analysis!
Thanks! @360SPT
Get the toys. Get the big stereo, directional headlights and sunroof with the better seats. Enjoy your toy. I know I am. :)
I stuck between the limited and premium
Limited if you can afford it.
I’d recommend taking a look at the Premium with the Harmon Kardon sound system and moonroof. Still think the Premium offers the best value
Go limited
I found a 2022 GT in red sitting at Subaru dealership.

How about the WRX GT vs WRX limited?
Nice car. Thinking of getting one. I don't see too many on the roads in NY.
I'm waiting for the 2024 with eyesight
Eyesight is trash. Had it on my 21 Outback XT. Darn near killed me 3 times overreacting to things it thought were a danger

no power seats in the "Premium" trim is criminal.

I’d really like to see a hybrid wrx!
Yes, yes you did. Way to cheap out and then rationalize everything you don't "need".
