    This is a very cool deck tech. It's silly in a fun unpredictable way where your opponents won't see you as a threat until too late. Really like the Darksteel/Dread addictions for the self mill.

    Zellix looks really cool. For me, its Sidisi, Brood Tyrant number 2. Lets me fight other self mill decks too. but its also an engine for the deck and functions almost identically to Sidisi.

    • @mamamagicgwentastic4200
      @mamamagicgwentastic4200  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      True you can use a lot of the same strategies. Except that Sidisi doesn't have a self-tap-to-mill ability. I hope you get lots of wins with your decks. But most importantly, are having fun. 💜

      @@mamamagicgwentastic4200 She has the enter and attack trigger so if I get Zellix out the turn before I can then the next turn drop Sadisi, mill self, likely get a zombie and a horror, then next turn I can attack and mill myself again and use Zellix to mill myself more. resulting in potentially 4 more triggers!
      Minor synergy but the fun stuff is with path of discovery which just goes off in the deck!

    Those first few combos aren't really infinite or even close. You have no control over if they continue or when they end. But the Ally one is probably the most powerful of them anyway. If everything is an Ally, then as the horror tokens enter, they not only cause more triggers, but also increase the amount of cards milled, in turn improving the odds of another creature getting milled as well as ramping up to let you mill someone out entirely.
    Also, when it comes to creatures that get stronger as stuff is milled, I will always prefer Consuming Aberration, assuming the deck has Blue and Black. Power and toughness equal to the number of cards in all graveyards might make it easier to kill with graveyard hate compared to getting +1/+1 counters, but it will have that power and toughness whether the milling was done before or after it hits the field. And that secondary ability of milling through to a land whenever you cast a spell is just amazing, effectively giving all of your spells an additional effect and pumping itself while also potentially ruining someone's mana base (maybe not with one use, but it does add up). Also ends up being punishing against decks that rush to get their lands out or have fewer lands for some reason, as well as later potentially punishing players that scry lands out of their way to get combo pieces faster, but those are more potential bonuses than main reasons to use it.
    Cast a spell, mill through to a land, likely get a horror, opponent tries to kill something with an instant, counterspell, mill through to a land, likely get another horror. Can turn any spell into a trigger for some of the repeatable loops in this video.

      That's why I said potentially infinite. But the one using self-shuffle ability does go infinite. Thank you for your feedback.

    can you change sage row do way black instead of blue?

  • @johncameron1935
    @johncameron1935 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    So if you're using Zellix as your commander, you're allowed to play dimir because it has the word black in its text? Or do you have to play mono-blue? Or is it that you can play dimir so long as your background has black in its mana cost? I'm confused.

    • @mamamagicgwentastic4200
      @mamamagicgwentastic4200  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is a wonderful question and do not feel bad at all for being confused about it. Color identity is only identified by two things. The color of the mana symbols on a card, and if the card specifically said this card is such as such a color. (Exception is devoid cards). This is why people can play off color fetchlands in their decks. Merely mentioning a color or a land type does not deem it's color identity. That would also be a nightmare for cards that reference another color than an opponent may have it in play. Example look up the card seed time.
      Hopefully that answered your question.
      As for this commander the secondary color is deemed due to the background which is a black card in this case.

    Does the agent of the iron throne work though because token creatures don’t hit the graveyard

    • @mamamagicgwentastic4200
      @mamamagicgwentastic4200  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Luckily creature tokens do hit the graveyard. They just go "poof" and disappear once they hit the graveyard. It is a very utilized strategy in aristocrat style decks.

    Tokens aren't sent to grave; they're just removed from the field so some of your combos don't work. Interesting video but a lot of the combos are impractical given the amount of cards you need to make a lot of the combo's work. Intruder Alarm and Zellix along with a sac outlet is an interesting combo though that is worth considering.

    • @mamamagicgwentastic4200
      @mamamagicgwentastic4200  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      They're just fun things that you can do there. But tokens that get sacrificed or die or are destroyed do in fact hit the graveyard. They just go "poof" and disappear once they hit the graveyard. It is a common misconception that people have that they do not go to the graveyard, but they in fact do.
