One thing though: you say it's quiet, but compared to my FX's and Reign, it's loud. Thanks for showing what this beast can do. Great review! Apparently, Spain-based Gamo now owns "Birmingham Small Arms" (BSA). The synthetic stock on this latest Gamo rifle was initially developed by BSA for the BSA XL "Tactical" air rifle many years ago. I have the .177 version of the "Tactical", which was still made in Britain. Good products, and valuable BSA know-how for Gamo, which shows in the excellent accuracy of your air rifle.
A break barrel with a magazine is a great advancement, but the many manufacturers locating the safety inside the trigger guard is irresponsible. It's the last place it should be located. I just bought an Avenger in .22. Famously great gun, it doesn't shoot quite as accurately as this Gamo. 3 shots, holes touching, 20 y, but not quite as small a group. But my gun rest isn't as rock solid as yours. The Avenger requires a $500 compressor, and a scope; the Gamo requires a heavy 40 lb pull. I like the Avenger, but not everyone has $1,000 for a gun and accouterments, so the Gamo is a fine gun for a lot less $.
