  • This video covers the new Gamo Swarm VIPER GEN3i in 22 Cal. Ten pellets were tested for speed and accuracy. One pellet rose to the top which hit hole on hole from 30 yards repeatedly. This review also shows the power of this rifle by performing penetration on wood fence boards. Watch all Backyard AirGuns videos by doing Google or TH-cam search for ‪@backyardairguns‬

    quality review. liked and subbed.answered all my questions. i too have found the redfires in 17 cal in my crossman shoot the best of the perllets ive tried..i see people online always crapping all over them and praising the polymags so it was interresting to see the redfires win out over them for once..thanks for the review sir.

    One thing I learned doing my own testing for accuracy. When switching pellets to test for accuracy, it can take up to 15-20 shots of that particular pellet before the barrel properly responds. Then go ahead and put it on paper. I know it's a pain in the rear. Took the tip from a 22 bullseye shooter. Has to do with the different lubes and coatings they put on the pellet. Really does make a big difference. Testing just takes a bit longer. Great video 👍

      I 'm new to pellet guns. did you clean barrel after 15-20 break in ?

    • @georgemcarthur488
      @georgemcarthur488 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@jumperstartful No. The only time I ever cleaned the barrel was when I first got it out of the box.

      I've never heard of that; but I will test it out and see.

    • @DrAgan_tortojed

      In theory. Very, very small (if any) difference in real life. Based upon lots of testing I did with/without in-between cleaning shooting at different distances and stances. But, the general cleaning, after each, say, 200 - 250 pellets is certainly recommendable, IF one insists on ultimate accuracy (but then again, we are talking about a couple of millimeters up/down left/right difference at 20 - 30 yards).

      @@backyardairguns Well I just discovered your channel and subscribed, I really like what you're doing and I've been into air rifles for a few decades now, so your videos are very interesting and informative. I do have some .22 cal Red Fire pellets, and they are incredibly accurate in my old Daisy 822. I've modified that rifle heavily for more power so it's running right at 700fps but it's tiring to pump all the time. Now I've discovered this Gamo you have there, and I'm going to be ordering one soon!

      Thanks. There is really no excuse not to provide a solid manual for air rifles. Gamo is a great brand, but their manuals are useless. This could be easily fixed if they wanted to.

      Hi David, I believe on the Gamo rifles you need to screw the trigger screw "In" to make it easier and and require less energy to fire.

    • @backyardairguns
      @backyardairguns  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I have lots of Gamo Gen3i mags and they cycle well in the rifles. The issue I have is I have to push most pellets into each slot. It slows down loading the mads a lot. What issues are you having with the mags?

    • @strayblackcatsmeow
      @strayblackcatsmeow 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Bet your shooting crosman short pellets. I use the gen2 magnum that is inertia fed like the gen3i. Thumbnail will not seat them properly. I have to use a push tool to get to the pellet centered in the magazine for flawless feed. Not far enough in and they fall out. Too far in and they jam or are mangled on closing.
