Todd is So Happy That Glamour Joins In The Morning Play Session

- Todd and I are upstairs and he has started asking for things for his morning play session. Glamour comes up and joins in playing with the laser mouse. Todd notices that she seems playful and I think he starts asking for toys he knows she likes. He asks for the Peacock Feather 6 times in a row after he just asked for it a few minutes earlier and didn’t seem that interested in it. Glamour joins in. He then asks for the Whirly toy which he also knows she likes and they finish the play session with it.
Todd is a 6-year-old neutered male cat at the time of this video. Todd and his dad have been learning to communicate with each other since May of 2022 with the help of recordable buttons. We aim to let Todd express himself and tell me his wants and needs. Currently, Todd has 51 words on his soundboard. This channel is dedicated to Todd learning to “talk”. If you would like to see more of Todd and his day-to-day life please visit his Facebook page.

Todd was really trying to get Dad to move quickly to get Peacock Feather before Glamour stopped playing. He was very excited and happy.
Yes, that's what I think he was doing, too.
Todd is special in so many ways! Super Smart, kind, thoughtful and loving! What a treasure he is 😻
He truly is. Thank you
Todd is such a gentleman getting the toys that Glamour enjoys! I love it!
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it
Todd is so thoughtful. At the end it looks like Glamour was thinking "which one is the treat button?"
Lol
PeacocK feather x 6!!! Ha ha ha! Nice to see Glamour playing.
😊
If only we could all be loved the way Todd loves Glamour. 😺
Agreed
Todd was SO happy to play with Glamour! Wonderful that they played Whirly together!
Yes it was good to see and it always makes his day when Glamour will play with the same toys.
Todd is such a sweet and thoughtful cat. 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you
I love to see Todd talking with the tip of his tail 😅 The whirly toy is great for 2 kitty games❤
Yes, Todd's tail is a good indicator for his mood.
I love how excited and emphatic Todd gets when one of the others wants to play with him, specially Glamour , you can tell with his repeated button pushing. He is a smart little dude.
Yes, I think that was a hurry up before she changed her mind. Lol
Todd has so much empathy ❤ for his sibling, you don't see this much between humans! Almost nowhere!
Agreed
How thoughtful of Todd to arrange some fun for Glamour as well ❤❤
Yes, once he realized she was receptive to play he was asking for the ones she likes best.
The way Todd was pressing the peacock feather button as if he just had the Best Idea Ever! So cute.
😊
I loved the excitement to play Peacock Feather (X6!!!) as he realized Glamour was up for some play 😅♥😘 What a day! 🥳🥳👌👌 -Pam xxx
I know, that was special. He's like come on Dad before she changes her mind. Lol
He was almost like a Rap DJ- Pea-Pea-Pea-PPP-Peacock Feather!😂
Todd was so happy that Glamour wanted to play! It was sweet of him to ask for toys for her. 😊
He loves her so much
Ah Todd has finely melted some of grumpy Glams heart
Little by little he's doing it.
It's nice to see Todd and glamour play together ❤️ ❤❤❤😊😊😊
It is. It makes him so happy, he just loves her.
So sweet that Todd loves Glamour so much! He was adamant that you get peacock feather for her! Hit the peacock feather 6 times in rapid succession. Amazing. Love your sweet kitties!
Thank you 😊
Fun to play with friends
Yes it is :)
Heard the Whirly squeaking and thought Glamour had added a new song to her repertoire 😹
😄
Peacock feather!STAT!
😄
Watching him slam the peacock feather button repeatedly was pretty funny. Like "Dad, I wasn't done!"
Glamour is still pretty spry for a senior kitty.
Glamour has her moments. I thought the slamming the peacock feather button was more of Hurry Dad, Glamour wants to play, get the feather quick before she changes her mind. Lol
My male cat is enamored with the indoor female car next door. He rubs against the window, and she hisses & spits at him 😂 😻😾
That sounds like Todd and Glamour. If he walks by her too close she will slap him. lol
It's been interesting to follow, over time, how these two have been getting closer... lil by lil. And, yeah, it seems like this has been Todd's wish & project all along🤩
He really does love her. He likes to just watch her even if she is just sleeping.
This was a great video showing just how much Todd loves his Glamour..
😊
Todd is just one in a million, not only is he super intelligent but has so much compassion for his family ❤ especially his sassy sister 😅
He does and thank you. 😊
Todd is the entertainment responsible for the whole clowder ;-)
Yes, and he does a good job
What a good friend Todd is! So nice to see them playing together and especially seeing Glamour enjoying herself.
Yes, it is nice to see. It's hard to watch her slowing down.
what a sweetheart thinking of his siblings happiness and at the same time his to love it !!!!
😊
Brilliant 👍.
Thank you
Aww thats sweet Todd is getting along with Glamour❤❤
Todd loves Glamour. Glamour on the other hand.....
>facepaw< Glamour never needs word buttons, because she has her own way of communicating, and Todd to get her stuff.
😄
Todd wanted to share the Peacock Feather, but Glamour seems to prefer to play on her own. She seems to do better with sharing the Whirly.
Todd is happy if she will just participate in an activity with him. He really loves her.
Maybe you need a button for Todd that says “Good Job”. He might wish to say that to Glamour when she plays too.
That is on the list of possible words but there are others I want him to learn before that one.
Your new cameras are awesome, by the by!!! (The quality just registered with me today for some reason.) Glamour heard "laser mouse" and materialized from the sixth dimension. Todd clearly knows how to summon his sister. Also, he's a very dramatic gentleman today.
She does use the buttons, but she knows a lot of the words.
Whirly motor sounds like a cat 😮😂
It does, that's why I added the comment. lol
@@TheChroniclesofToddToddTalks The comment was much needed 👌🏻😄
Todd is such a beautiful boy. Love his all white tummy. Lovely nature.
Thank you 😊
COME ON EVERYONE LETS GET TODD TO 50k AND LIKE &. SHARE
Thank you, that would be awesome
Animals communicate through mental images. I've seen other button pets speak for their numb siblings. Glamour wanted to play. Todd knew and communicated, but called dibs.
😊
So cute 😊
Todd is good brother ❤
Thank you so much 😀
I can see Todd still wants to play, thru his body language, but he's too lazy to get up and chase the peacock feather, the laser mouse and the whirly 🤣he even tried to grab your foot 😂
😄
Interesting. When you had the laser mouse out it seemed Todd wasn't really paying attention to it, but was instead watching Glamour to see her reaction to it.
Yes, if he notices her interested in something he will usually back off a bit. He knows she may just leave if he gets too close. He is a kitty Gentleman
I wonder why Glamour doesn't really want to play with Todd, she backed off him when she pounced the whirly. Very interesting to see Todd try to include Glamour in play.
When Todd was a kitten he tried to play with her and being a kitten he played too rough at times. Glamour didn't like it and has never forgotten and doesn't trust him not to play rough now. Glamour is half Todd's size and almost 3 times his age.
My boyfriend and I love watching FluentPet videos and Todd always has us rolling and impressed! He's so sweet
Aww, thank you so much
I like the new angle. So much fun to o❤❤
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it
I saw your recent video on training Todd with his buttons, but I would absolutely love it if you could make a video explaining how you trained some of his earliest buttons. And maybe go through which buttons were easy for him and which were more of a challenge. Perhaps you already have more videos like that - I'll have to explore your video archive more thoroughly.
My cat, Rhubarb, has 8 buttons now, but only regularly uses 4 or 5, with 90% of his presses being food, play, or outside (screened-in porch, he's indoor only). He's only been using his buttons for about 4 months though. I switched to connect buttons less than 2 months ago and he's had 1.8k presses recorded since then!
What were some of the early word combos Todd strung together? I'm thinking about adding some specific toys in addition to just "play," but I imagine he will probably just push the name of the toy without pushing "play" first. That would be totally fine, but I would also like to find some buttons he would use in combination with each other.
Much love to Todd and Dad! And Glamour and Paulie!
Congrats on you and Rhubarb learning to communicate together! Todd is a special kitty and understood what the buttons were right from the start. I started with 3 words I felt Todd Already knew well and would make a kitty sentence. "Todd", "Play", and his favorite toy at the time "Bird Toy". He was very interested in what I was doing when I set up his board. I installed the buttons and pointed to it telling him to look. He looked and touched the button I pointed to. I was very excited, as I am sure you know getting them to acknowledge the buttons is a big step. Then I showed him how they work and pressed Bird Toy. His eyes lit up, I pressed it again and got the toy and played with him. I wen to my desk to pull the video of him acknowledging the button when I heard "Bird Toy"". I was so excited I jumped up and played with him for about 20 seconds then went downstairs to tell my wife. Todd was not done playing and while I was gone he was upstairs hammering the button. Lol So Todd started using his buttons in about 10 minutes of setting up the board. Again, this is not common and Todd is a special kitty.
The more abstract words are harder to teach like Soon (less than 15 minutes), later (more than 15 minutes), before, and then, etc. Words that are easy to model come quickly to Todd, other take a couple of weeks for him to grasp.
I love Todd’s engagement with everything. He’s a cat that knows what he wants.
Also, were you milling flour the whole recording xD?
No, there is an issue with the microphone I am working on it. It's been one thing after another since I changed systems
@@TheChroniclesofToddToddTalks As a former tech support guy, you have my sincerest condolences. I hate troubleshooting home hardware.
@@TheChroniclesofToddToddTalks That sucks, I'm sorry. If it's interference, it's the weirdest sounding interference I've ever heard. Like a slightly wobbly fan that occasionally hits its housing
4:16 you may have accidently been too close to Todd's "space" so Glamour moved away. She hasn't seem very inclined to be very close/friendly to either Paulie or Todd.
If Glamour had her way, Mom, Todd, and Paulie would all go away. She has always wanted it to be just her and I.
Where did u get the whirlybird toy? It's not in the description
Thank you for letting me know I missed that one. I have added it and it will be in the description of future videos. Here is the link. Whirly

Dad, can you tell us the real names for toys, if we want to buy them? Why laser mouse (the only 1 I recognize) & not just laser?
There are links for all the toys in the description box. Except "laser mouse" which I believe is just a standard laser pointer. The different channels often use "homemade" names for toys. What is called "Whirly" here is called "Zoom zoom" on Billispeaks. 🙂
Links to most of Todd's toys are in the video description. It is a laser mouse because it has tips to change fromna dot to project a mouse, etc. The mouse image was too big, and I was afraid of it shining in their eyes, so I just use the dot for precise control. It had already been named at that point.
