    cutting drum breaks into 1/8 or 1/4 notes with the hi hats intact on each chop was something they used to do alot in 90s jungle it made it easy to to do rolls and still maintain the groove of the break.

    How did you get the record into koala sampler?

    • @BirdBoss
      @BirdBoss  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s connected into an audio interface. There’s tons that are compatible with iOS. It’s as simple as connecting the red cable into a RCA to Quarter inch adapter and plugging that adapter into the interface. The interface is connected to the iPad and it all works fairly automatically nothing complicated.

    • @Gwyn94
      @Gwyn94 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BirdBoss I believe you can also plug an 1/8" male - 1/4" male cable directly from whatever device you have Koala on into pretty much any audio interface. Should work the same I believe. I have some laying around for my Korg Volcas since they only have the 1/8" out

    Good work brother, just gained a new subscriber. trying to learn the koala sampler app and your content is perfect. How'd you connect the turntable and pads all to the Mac so it can load into the app?

    • @BirdBoss
      @BirdBoss  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Turntable is plugged into a focusrite interface; attached to the iPad with a USB C Dongle adapter thing. Pretty straight forward Koala auto picks it up and then in Koala settings you can hit which input to record. My controller (Launchpad X) is attached to the same dongle. Then I went into Koala, hit midi map, then pressed a pad on screen followed by a pad on the controller, and repeated for all the slots in banks ABCD in Koala. Thanks for watching and subscribing! New videos in the pipeline soon

    On your midi is it map to screen a.b.c,d. Without switching back in forth?

    • @BirdBoss
      @BirdBoss  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s not but I believe you can do that easily. I’m switching between mappings for drum sounds and mappings for FX/Sequence within Launchpad. It gives you 4 custom banks of 64 pad mapping. When I have the 4 banks of 16 colored pads that’s all sounds, what you see at the end of the vid is my sequence and FX

    • @brandontaylor6073
      @brandontaylor6073 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BirdBoss I think basically what I'm saying are all your sounds on on pages already mapped to your midi. So u don't have to switch screens.

    • @BirdBoss
      @BirdBoss  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup, A/B/C are populated with drum sounds, while D is left empty for my samples, and it’s all available on one page of the launchpad. Can build a beat in resample method without ever touching iPad
