    I worked in a Best Buy for a while. It made me realize how important comparison is to sales. You look at 1 TV at a time at home but if you line up 20 of them then you MUST get the best one. They'd all be fine but only one is the best.

    • @overthrone3494
      @overthrone3494 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah for some people. You take someone with money who just wants a tv to watch shows and movies and really doesn’t care about frame rate or resolution beyond 4K or 1080p at 60fps. They might buy the best one while actually having no use for it.
      After I got the PS5 and xbox series x I purposefully went out and get an LG OLED so I can game at 120 fps in 4K. Definitely costed a good bit but tbh I think it was worth it. Even watching old anime the colors are super vivid compared to other TVs. I sought out the TV because it had what I was looking for

      What do you mean by honest? You do realize people are in business to make money. Your price is determined by how far along you are in the supply chain. If you are a retail customer, you pay retail prices. Nothing that was said here was wildly disproportionate from the market rates. If you want a cheaper price, go to Mozambique and mine your own rubies, then devote years of your life mastering how to cut gemstones out of rough. Or you could pay to have all that done for you already...

      You are buying a shiny rock or metal at the end of the day, so yeah you will pay up and the jeweller will profit on the transaction. An honest jeweller will get you a reasonable price based on where the market is, and give you some choice and education based on what you are willing to spend. Look at the way Trax is talking about lab diamonds. He doesn’t shun customers into getting natural, but instead says “hey if you are looking at getting a diamond, lab is actually clearer and significantly cheaper, but you be the decision maker”.

    New York state should just regulate diamond and gemstone prices like with taxis and rent control so only certain people can deal gems for certain controlled prices

    Ruby is my birthstone. Due to not being rich i went and mined a red Garnet and I am now making a ring. I can't even wrap my head around spending that kind of money in a tiny Gem.. Or having that kind of money in the first place..I got Ramen soup money over here...
    I had to sell three 5 oz Silver bars just to get enough money up for gas & some food for my family..
    God Bless 🙏

    Having a eye for good quality gems and diamonds can make u bank. Only 10 percent of the goods in the pawn shop are appraised. All the diamonds mined in one year only 3 percent are D color. One average to find a one carat diamond requires the removal of 200,000 tons of material.
