    I just was in Mckays in Knoxville, and you would never believe what I found!! A full set of Sisk Gemology reference books!!! All 468/1000, I have been wanting these books for such a long time and never in a million years thought I would find them at a used book store in practically brand new condition, I’m so stoked to have them in my collection now! Your guy’s channel has had such an impact in my craving for knowledge of mineralogy, and I just wanted to say thank you for that :)

    Wow! I love all the colors of gorgeous corundum! sapphires, and rubies are just gorgeous, but people dont realize that sapphires come in all different colors, including colorless. My favorite is the montana sapphires because you can get all the colors in one locale. And the polished ones were fantastic! And the man made material being used for cell phone, watch faces, etc. Rubies are gorgeous, but i have always loved sapphire, in all its colors but the rich dark blue is still fav. The bi-color is my favorite and thats where the montanas come in. Thanks for the awesome video and i agree, its almost sensory overload! But im not complaining! And Andrews ASMR with the stones was fantastic! I could listen to that all day! Awesome video and Yes, bring 2 million worth of stones next time. Any type of stones! lol!

    This video was filled with jaw-drop moments. The fact that the more prized rubies are found in marble now makes me curious. If some of the world's finest white marble is from Italy and Greece, are rubies found in that marble as good as Burmese? If not, why not? This Sapphire video now has me re-thinking my fav gemstone group rankings. Tourmalines vs. Corundums vs. Garnets.

    • @roughdiamondworld6815
      @roughdiamondworld6815 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is very rare to find the exact conditions for sapphires to form. Silica is very common and sapphires need a silica free environment. Also, the conditions for their formation start at a high temperature and slowly over time cool off.

    • @LostWithoutHer
      @LostWithoutHer ปีที่แล้ว

      @@roughdiamondworld6815 So, are you basically suggesting that Burmese marble is free or almost free of silica whereas Greek and Italian are not? (Because what you said about silica had already been said by the video presenters.) Is there an echo in here, here, here, here, here.........?

    I love it when I learn something new. You guys are great! I always thought rubies and sapphire were different gems.

    I would love to see what $2 million worth of agate looks like. Agate is my favorite gemstone.

    Born in September, I favor sapphires, but my budget only affords some nice spinels. And that is not all bad. Red spinels were thought to be rubys for thousands of years. Blue ones have many corundum features.
