Whoever does the "match highlight footage" stuff is pretty awesome. They have to have it ready RIGHT after the match. They must be saving clips as they happen during the match and live editing it together.
Always love Yipes on commentary. The audience was amazing! I didn’t realize how many people were there to support.
Some of the other commentators were saying Strive had over 1000 entrants. That’s nuts those are Evo numbers

Yeah, good for him. He won a game that had to sell it's soul in order to pretend to be something it no longer is for a bunch of whiny little assholes who wanted their way into a series they never wanted to learn.
I normallly find myself rooting for the underdog, but Tempest had my support throughout this whole top 8, and it was amazing to see him go through the work of getting to that grand final, and lastly that winner's title.

@@Marcythvamp A few exceptions don’t disprove anything. This top 8 was dominated by the same few top tier character…ram, May, happy chaos, Leo, zato, and nago.
@@D4C_267 and if daru or snake eyez or jiro or Mocchi or Ty or any other player with a different character showed up there would be a different top 8, but that’s just not how it turned out. Tempest is the only Leo winning anything right now, that also goes for zando as ramlethal and slash as may, there are good players of every character you’re complaining about nothing. You couldn’t even get top 8 at a fuckin local so don’t complain about who the pros decide to use

Sometimes it's frustrating to watch competitive guilty gear because matches often turn into steamrolls because of small differences in skill. Grand finals was just what I needed to get my excitement for the game back, the game is so awesome when played by players who are evenly matched, well played to the champ and 2nd place

Fair, but some of the pools matches don’t carry the same level of comp so anything before the top 196 doesn’t feel worth sifting through imo
