I was rooting for Nicky as usual but other players surprised me. SonicDolphin made wonders with Kim Wu. He seems a nice guy

i was rooting for Alexv up until the first game of the grand finals. he was excitable in the earlier parts of the tournament but idk i found his behavior eventually got on my nerves and seemed unsportsman like. dont get up in people's face in the middle of the grand finals. that said, i look forward to his future as a KI player
It was his first offline ever and he was just having fun with the KI homies. He didn't mean anything bad about it and plus, he knows everyone that attended lol. He was just soaking in all the good vibes and having fun with everyone

What a crazy tournament, you know the competition was fierce when heavy hitters such as Letalis, Wheels and SMV couldn't make it into top 8.
I watch Nicky's weekly tournaments, was rooting for him. I wish we could get another KI, it's one of the best fighting games to watch.

Pretty much any KI character would work in MK, I think. The aesthetic of each game is fairly similar.

I was never disrespectful or unsportsmanlike, on the contrary, got to share the stage with legends on my first offline and I was hyping everyone up, specially Zombie since we go back and Sonic since it was Grand Finals and he was the only one that matched the energy while we were playing, and he was playing out of his mind too.

Alex was just having fun. It was his first offline ever and he was enjoying time with the KI community and trying to hype up folks. He didn't mean any ill will about it.

Regardless if he didnt mean anything by it... it can really make the other player on stage feel uncomfortable. ..which is unnecessary IMO.
@FallofSeraphs no, that was Buffalo vs Scar lol completely different person. Alex never traveled to offlines, he's a very busy dude(he's actually the one that did Combo Breakers theme song and other FGC events).

The very final reminded me of finals in Tekken 4. Spaming same thing over and over again with a Jin. Can anybody explain to me as I do not play this game, why the other player could not do much against Killgore who was shooting and countering by doing Shoryou ken ? Not my game tho but I really want to understand, is the winning character an OP like Jin in Tekken 4 ?
Funnily enough, Rash is the best character in the game while Kilgore is barely outside Top 10. I guess Sonic had him figured out.

People can create their own combos using Light, Medium, and Heavy attacks that can be stringed together in a particular structure. The combos have the same animations but can be longer or shorter depending on strength. Having to watch and learn both punch and kick sets. Combos can be broken if you know what kind of strength is being used and enter that same strength at the same time the attack connects. Guessing wrong or missing the timing will lock you into the combo. Breakers can also be also be countered be the attacker if they think you are going to try and break. If successful, the counter breaker will not only lock in their opponent but reset the combo gauge for additional damage to add up in said combo.
In short, combat is constantly a mind game. Is he going to try to break? Should I counter break? What strength are they using? Is it safe to break? Should I take the damage or risk even greater damage? This is not going into how a combo structure works. Specials. Combat styles. Potential damage vs regular. But this is basically what we are watching and paying attention to. The mind games between characters and players
I hate anyone who plays with magic or that kind of appealing skill!
