    Don't know about Pixel 8 performance, but using Pixel 7a for last 5 months especially in hot summer days in Bihar, the heating was there in the initial days. It tend to heat a lot. But after updates and Android 14, the heating is much much less and the battery backup is also improved marginally. Everyone who is commenting about heating issue of Pixel, in my opinion many of them are not Pixel users. I am not saying that the heating is not there but it's also not like that Pixel phones are heaters😅. I have also used iPhones past and its a great package overall. Google should correct the pricing and improve after sales service also to grow in India further.

      I am using 6a and it heats up like anything. I dont have much apps installed, still... Another problem is slow charging, the phone rarely goes above 70% with my daily use. Battery drains fast and charging is slow. Will try updating to 14 and see.

    What's kind of crazy about Apple vs Android nowadays, is that Android is becoming more like iOS (becoming more smoother, more simplified for easier use and becoming better optimized) and iOS is starting to become more like Android (becoming more customizable, more experimental and more feature rich).

    Pixel 8 battery life will improve over time. Generally, you will start noticing the huge changes after a week + 1 or 2 days. I used to get 4 hours to 5 hours and now, I'm getting 7 to near 8 hours based on regular usage on 7a. But, yes i agree with you on thermals and performance and i will wait till 2025 before switching to next pixel, as they are working with tsmc.

    • @saurav5490
      @saurav5490 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have been using a Pixel 7 for the last 6 months, and I'm a Google fanboy. I have used stock Android and Nexus phones (like the Pixel 4a, Nexus 5, Nexus 4, HTC nexus One, and Nokia 7.1) since 2012. So, let me share some clear facts. At this price point, it's better to buy an iPhone 15 instead of the Pixel 8 because it has a subpar chip, which is also inefficient and tends to overheat even during normal usage. It does have some nice features and offers a good software experience, but the iPhone will likely last longer due to its more efficient chips. Selfies are also not great on the Pixel; Google doesn't handle Indian skin tones (brown skin) well, and portrait photos are often disappointing.@@HydrousVerified

    Hi Tarin, I have a pixel 7, it changed my life. For it to get through my day easily I have to use extreme battery saver. Which keeps the phone cool and digital detox because of bare minimum apps active. Also haven't used 90hz freely because of battery drain. Yeah pixel 7 is doing well for me. In extreme battery saver it's 20% drained overnight without doing anything. Excited when I'll get 72 he backed as advertised. Regards

    Usually in Pixel we can use astrophotography mode with a tripod. It will take approx 4 mins and take a picture with long exposure. Is the same kind of feature available in the iPhone 15 ?

    • @the_nomadic_ajith
      @the_nomadic_ajith 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      No, you can't. The maxiumum iphone offers is 30 seconds shutter and again it doesnt compensate for star position shifting and noise. Hence end result is a slighly blurred stars with blue bg. On pixel sky is always black with sharp stars.

    I didn't encounter the heating or network issues on the Airtel sim. The battery-life is good at 5/½ hrs and the idle battery drain is at 3-5% at 120Hz.
    Closer to what Geekyranjit got in his tests.
    What I noticed that Real tone has gotten worse, and the cameras are not yet polished. As always, Google will fix it with 2-3 updates and improve the device battery-drain, camera's etc drastically. The 5x lens on the 8 pro is also not optimised as Gcam port takes way better shots with less noise.
    Google as usual takes a month or two to settle down. The AI TPU on Tensor G3 is also kinda insane. And I felt that Pixel 8 pro stays a bit cooler than Pixel 8 and the low-light videos are better too and so is the gaming performance although neither are great at gaming.
    Both were extremely warm in the first week and now they've settled down...again typical of Google. The higher India pricing with no freebies is what's most disappointing tbh.
    Cheers 🥂

      @@sauravbisht11 Tell me your priorities and purchase time, I'll suggest you an option.
      I've both the devices and in short, Iphone 15 is better for gaming and it runs 2°C cooler than Pixel 8. Network connectivity is good on both but Wi-Fi signal strength is as usual better on the Pixel.
      I've not faced heating issues on Pixel 8 yet, it just gets warm while playing Genshin.
      Speakers are better on the iPhone 15, display is better on the Pixel 8. Phone call clarity is much better on the Pixel 8 and so are the haptics. Data transfer speeds are much faster on Pixel 8 via USB.
      In cameras, the iPhone takes brighter and social media ready photos (girls prefer those). Pixel keeps it too natural so you will need to edit the photos before you post.
      The ultra-wide lens is superior on the Pixel 8, no contest. Selfies are decent on both, quite beautified (weirdly) on Iphone 15 with orange tint. Portrait mode is superior on the iPhone 15.
      Surprisingly, videos are great on both but Iphone 15 still nudges ahead due to smoothness. Sometimes, Pixel 8 is brighter and more detailed in low-light videos and sometimes it's grainy (bug). Iphone 15 has better HDR in low-light videos.
      Battery-life is decent on both. Don't fall for that iphone lasts longer....it does only when you're using Apple apps. Google apps work substantially better on Pixel 8 and so does their AI stuff.
      If you're not into Android or download stuff from the net or need customization etc then I would suggest picking the iPhone 15. Btw, the ios 16 & now 17 is more buggy than Android 13 & now 14 on Pixel devices.
      Let me know if you've any specific questions.

Whatever it is,this time Apple has concentrated much more on their base models than previous years and the result is so transparent. I'm really interested to see what samsung does in their s24 lineup because of the introduction of AI features. I feel if samsung pulls that off correctly it's gonna be the best of Android has ever seen because of it's reliable and consistent camera, software and performance (snapdragon) , i really don't think why someone would want 7 years of updates on their phones because the battery would be degrading after 2-3 years so they have to get it replaced eventually, I think Samsung is going to be the peak of Android because they are nailing it in the software and camera and performance department because it's powerful and most importantly consistent. If Samsung comes up with AI features and does it better than Google i would prefer Samsung phones over anything.

    I chose not to buy a Pixel in India due to poor after-sales support and subpar durability. Despite considering the Pixel 7 over the iPhone 13, I faced issues with water damage and a lack of warranty. Additionally, the single service center nationwide resulted in a month-long process for sending and receiving the device.

    I have used Pixel 3a, 6a and iPhone 13 Pro. So here's my feedback for someone who is confused between Pixels and iPhones.
    Pixel 3a was a gold rated phone except for the Performance. After moving to 6a i found the phone to be considerably fast, but not as much as any of the iPhones. However this was my first impression. After using it for a few weeks, i noticed more issues. 6a gets warmer(not hot) every time i use it, video cannot be recorded for more than 5 mins at 30 degree celsius weather. On summer days, after clicking some photos itself phone starts to show over heated warning. Portrait mode is not as good as how it was in my 3a. Edge detection fails most time and its not as good as iPhone now. Again, it doesnt blur the image properly, sometimes half of my image is blurred not the subject itself. Astro mode in Camera never turns on. Shutter speed is quite fast that image quality is compromised compared to my 3a. Overall i would say, 3a had a far better camera than 6a. Apart from this, Then finger print doesn't work most of the time on Pixel 6a. In display finger print on the Pixel 8 is also not ultrasonic and hence not as fast as flagships. Overall i would say, quality of Pixels has degraded much after switching to Tensor. I wouldn't recommend it any more. If you need the best photos, go for it. But you will have to compromise on lot of things
    Now coming to iPhone, when compared to Pixel, you get better video quality, a good camera system overall, better micro phone and speakers, better UI/UX, better ecosystem, Offline AI and Albums,Face ID that works in night too, better resale value. Overall iPhone is a better value for money compared to Pixel 8 i can say. You may still go for Pixel if you are getting it at a much cheaper Price compared to iPhone 15. 👍👍👍👍

      You used two budget pixels, compared it with a pro iPhone which would cost 3x or more of the pixels and made your verdict. Typical iSheep mentality.

    • @the_nomadic_ajith

      @@FCmobileMalayalam Dude, please read that again. I compared the 6a Tensor with 3a in that whole big paragraph and later told that a normal iPhone 15 is better than P8. Doesn't that do justice? I never compared the phone with 13 Pro anywhere. I have used iPhone 13 also. But 3a, 13 and 13 pro never had the issues found in Tensor. Personally i really wanted to own a good pixel when it comes out,. But i have less hope now and ordered a regular 15 last day and is waiting for it to be delivered. You can imagine, else why should i watch this video 😀

    • @FCmobileMalayalam
      @FCmobileMalayalam 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@the_nomadic_ajith Bruh your whole big paragraph starts by saying "I used 3a, 6a and iPhone 13, here is my feedback for those who are confused between pixels and iPhone".
      Like I didn't even completely read it. The pixels are most known for their camera and the 6a have so many deal breaker cost cuttings. Like the poor display, older low res sensors, slow finger print scanner... Like it's a device sold for below 25K. Even comparing it with the normal 13 doesn't make sense. That's why I made such a comment. But yeah the thing about the tensor being a deal breaker to buy a pixel is true.

    • @the_nomadic_ajith
      @the_nomadic_ajith 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@FCmobileMalayalam But most of these issues are still there in Pixel 8 and 7. Even 8 Pro that costs 1 L in India has Fingerprint and 5G issues. Again when we talk abt camera, there are issues with Portrait mode and focusing distance(not macro, but for basic shots).

    • @the_nomadic_ajith
