Bro u have earned my respect. This is absolutely fantastic review! I have been using the Pixel 8 for almost a month and those are my general ideas on it too. You've got urself a subscriber!
Absolutely glad to hear the praise! Thank you so much!
Hey. I was thinking about buying pixel 8 now. Is it a good phone? How's the hearing issue that many people are getting?
@@theelectrifyingphenom2611 i think the video will answer the question perfectly.

Heating will subside with updates but not completely. Most flagship users aren't into gaming anyways. Honestly speaking, even SD865 is more than enough for most users even today and I don't trust these synthetic benchmarks either. In my P8pro testing, it goes 1.3M max but I never felt I need more performance unless I'm running Genshin Impact for hrs.
Iphone 15 is too basic and S24 shares the same fate of P8 with Exynos 2400. I think, P8 and S24 would be a great buy in sales.
Cheers 🥂
Really nice review, with attention to minor aspects which turned out to be more important
Thank you! That was the aim.
What a comeback my friend 😮🎉.
Thank you my friend, it's good to be back!
Bro you should really leave Techbar and focus more on your own content. I know money's gotta be an issue which is why you left this channel on a backburner but trust me the sooner you realize to build your own audience, the better. Your story telling, composition and cinematography skills are on par and beyond other Indian tech channels which I why I followed you in the first place. Rooting for you to grow more.
Thank you for all the appreciation man. I don't want to leave TechBar because some incredible work happens there, and I learn so much with Sanchit. But yes I'll find a balance between my content and the work I do there so that I can post here more regularly. Thank you so much for every kind word man, it means everything!

Great review, Gauraang!

Just a quick question - Which network provider is your Pixel 8 on?
Thank you!
I was using the phone with Airtel. No reception issues.
I have been using it for about a month .
Your Criticism in both positive & negative side is just PERFECT
That was the aim. Spent weeks on the script to make sure it's delivered right. Glad you agree!
Superb indepth review Bro
i love the way you review the pixel 8 hazel 😊👍🏾👍🏾
Way to go bro
Perfect real life review ! P8/Pro are behind maybe 10 or 11 will be true flagship beaters for now i bought the 1+12.
Thank you! And excellent choice.
Good review! Its surprising though that you didn't see the stuttery scrolling while using the phone, it seems to be a widespread issue.
Thanks! I have noticed it, but after a point I just stopped realising it, didn't bother me after.
Thanks for the response. I'm using the Pixel 8 Pro and seem to be hyper sensitive to it :(
Hoping Google releases a fix. I hope it's a software issue and not an issue with the Tensor/Exynos chip.
@@kanishkdudeja559bro how are the thermals and battery life on your 8 pro? The phone feels sufficiently warm to touch almost every time after 10-15 mins of continuous usage for me.

Using pixel 8 ! Great device ! Camera is outstanding and pan cinematic video option is seriously awesome with little filter and edit to it! Main reason to purchase : camera and software thats all display is great too
Does it heat while recording videos or clicking photos for prolonged period of time?

Hello Dear
I have been having war of thoughts in my mind whether to buy Pix 8 or not. We have been made aware of its con like heating, signal issues, slow battery charging etc earlier also in videos.
Tdy morning i saw your video. My compliments for a threadbare video. Love and hate issues are nicely explained. Why and why not Pix should be used is now completely understood.
Is Pix 8 Pro somewhat better?
Thanks and Regards. Appreciated your hard work. Will be placing an order.
Brother, many reviewers on TH-cam are saying there are jitters in the UI while scrolling and switching apps. Is that true? I want to buy this but very confused! 😢
Jitters exist only in two places that I've seen so far. Scrolling on twitter, and TH-cam music. But otherwise, no jitters.
Bro, you're doing good.
Does it over heat while using Lightroom for pics editing and watching Netflix, like for a full movie or a binge watch? Also how is the network performance..Please reply
It heats up a little with Lightroom. Not that much while watching Netflix. Network performance is good with airtel.
I'm so glad you're not a Pixel shill who only focus on good Pixel 8 qualities. Having a phone with just a good camera is like having a car with great tires but engine is crap.
It's the job at the end of day man. I can like the pixel all I want, but the job is to think from most people's perspective and then see if it can be honestly recommended to people or not. Thanks for the appreciation man. As for the car analogy, it's like a car that is great with everything except the engine, not just great tires.
at 09:24 why it is written Galaxy S23 in the photo watermark is it me or some one else too noticed!!
I took both phones out for a comparison, and accidentally added the shot from the S23. Apologies.
Very interesting review, my dad wants to get pixel 8.
I have pixel 8 pro and it doesn't have heating problems.
What benchmark app did you use?
I have used multiple different benchmark apps. For heating and throttling I used CPU throttle test. Others include Antutu, and Geekbench 6. Your Pixel 8 Pro not heating could be dependent on usage, and the kind of weather you live in.
@@GauraangArora
Thanks for the info. UK weather, so not very hot most of the year.
@@Paradox1P makes sense. My usage has been in the tropical Indian weather, where it hasn't done well with heat.
Which one would you recommend for balanced overall caneracentric phone for usage of 3 years , previously i was a huawei p30 pro user.
For 3 years, primarily for clicking pictures Pixel 8 is pretty amazing. I would recommend to wait for a price drop. If you don't have a problem with a 60Hz display, then even the iPhone 15 is an excellent option. Cameras have been amazing on the iPhone 15. No AI there though.
Very nice job and I really like my Pixel 8 , but if you use it on mobile data all day the battery life isn't very good . I do wonder how this phone will handle it when summer shows it face and the temp goes up.
Thank you! And yes, a very valid reason to be worried for.
Make a video on 8a , india me le sakte hai kya ?
You are the best ❤❤
Thank you so much!
“The phone will heat up” monologue was the best
Hahaha, glad you liked it!
5 years ago, I'm still using been using OnePlus which is always cheaper, smoother, faster over any other phones. I never used Google Pixel phones. I compared my OnePlus 8T+ vs Google Pixel 5. I also have 1+7T pro Mclaren Edition which is still pixel 8 pro killer.
Same is the case for ROG 8. You won't find a bit about Rog phone 8 but only get about 8 Pro.
I'm using pixel 3 and the 2x photo still looks awesome and have great amount of details
That could be true, but based on my experience and comparisons, the 2x zoom is crazy good on the pixel 8.
Honest review!!! Going to buy another phone thanks from Pakistan bhai
At 9:24 wasnt the First image of S23?
Yes, I took both phones out for a comparison, and accidentally added the shot from the S23. Apologies.
@GauraangArora From where did you bought the T-shirt?
Uniqlo
7 years of soft support BUT what to see he has hardware problems since the first month, it's good google
My usage is watching youtube and movies... some video calls...Whats app, calls and no gaming...could I purchase pixel 8 according to my usage?
By the way great video Gaurang❤❤❤
If you're going to be fine with the heat up now and then while it is being used over WiFi, you'll be fine. In the end I mentioned exactly who should buy the phone and who shouldn't.
Thanks for the reply ❤
I am planning to import a pixel 8 from usa ,will it work in india without any issues and will it get the android updates? Great video btw.
The only problem will be the warranty. Pixels don't have an international warranty. And thanks for the appreciation!
I want a good software and camera and I'm getting pixel 8 for around 40k in Dubai. Can I ho for it? Or should I consider s23 fe for same price?
Skip the s23 fe. Get the pixel 8. Just be careful that you don't get international warranty on the pixel. But yes, 40k for the Pixel 8 is an amazing deal.
Yes it heats up a lot. I love my p8 but heating issues are bothering me a lot. I am not a heavy user but watching videos will heat up this phone. Not sure if Google can fix this with updates.
Yes, that's not going to change with updates.
Can i play bgmi for an hour per day on medium settings without causing any trouble to the hardware inside
You can.
Hi, i am interested in buying a pixel 8 for myself for 850cad (53k inr) from canada to india. Do u recommend the phone at the particular price point, and is the heating issue really SERIOUS??
For 53k, go for it. As for the real world heating issues, just watch the performance part and the conclusion. You will have all the possible answers.
It's selling for 749 $ canadian for 128 gb variant ie appox 45000rs inr on official google store
For that price its a great option !
Did you have any issues with 5g or any type of network issue with this?
Not really. No issues with Airtel.
Can you test the pixel 8 on dual sim? Would be really REALLY helpful
I'll try
Did you have 120Hz enabled all the time with that battery life?
Yes
Hey bro please reply
I am getting pixel 8 for 40k from u.s and i don't care about warranty as i am frequently visiting u.s so i don't have a problem should i go for it?
If you're often going to visit US, perfect, get the phone!
Should i go for pixel 8 at the price of 55k in flipkart or wait till pixel 9 launch..i have nothing phone 2 right now..
I would rather have you wait for the Nothing Phone (3). See how it is and then decide which phone you want. This applies given that the need is not urgent.
@@GauraangArora thank you..
if you had to price the phone
how much you would have put?
please increase the frequency
50k would be still be very appealing for everything the phone does well. And yes, working on the frequency.
Hey , look i have a budget of 40k.....and i want the best camera and software experience in this price ....i don't care about performance as i am not a gamer or a heavy user , i only use social media and ott platforms . should i go for pixel 7a or wait for pixel 8 !!! as of now s22 is selling at 40k and also there is one great camera phone vivo v30 pro . so i am very confused between this 4 phones . Can you please suggest me what should i go for?and also please tell me your thoughts about moto edge 50 pro as it has the best ui and camera at the price point
Get the pixel 8 if camera and experience is what you want. Stay away from S22 and V30 Pro. And don't consider Edge 50 Pro, I have problems with the phone that take away points in terms of experience. Try to extend the budget for the Pixel 8. Unbeatable experience and unbeatable camera for that price.
@@GauraangArora thank you so much 💛
Does this review also apply to the pixel 7 line up?
Pixel 7 series is worse at everything, so no.
The heating problem is not because of tensor. Pixel 4a has snapdragon and it also heats up very quickly. It is a problem with Google's optimisation and google must fix this.
You have used s23 shot in your first camera sample broo!👀
Oh my god. You have eagle eyes man, thanks for pointing out the error. Part of the comparison I did, and saved the pictures in the same folder like an idiot.
Is pixel 8 still a better recommendation if I minus the heating. I really wish their hardware will hold up till 7 years. Or will they?
Yes apart from the performance and heating issues, it is a good phone. I don't think it will last 7 years. 3 or 4 at the very most, maybe.
@@GauraangArora Tell me if I’m wrong…if the heating continues. .it can burn the screen?
@@8080VB phone heat does not cause burn-in. Burn-in depends on the quality of OLED.
@@GauraangArora do you think if I use it with a hard case this can be solved? But you said it affects the performance also when it starts to get hot. Like the UI bugs .
@@8080VB with a case you won't feel the heat. But still, it'll throttle down the performance, so you might see apps closing, or the frame rate of the game you're playing drop down.
Bro have u faced any network issues?
On Airtel, nope.
Make a detailed review on NOTHING PHONE 2 PLEASEEEEE❤❤❤
I think it might be a bit too late at this point. But I will try my best, for sure.
Samsung s24 vs google pixel 8, which camera best? (videography & photography),your opinion please
My preference for photos will still be Pixel. But the only reason I would recommend the S24 is because of a dedicated telephoto, better videos and overall a much better balance between camera and performance.
@@GauraangArora thank you so much❤️
if instead of that crappy ultrawide camera, there would have been a camera with optical zoom, it would have been excellent, and this also applies to the simple iPhone , and if google would return to snapdragon processors or at least mediatec pixel it would be the best phone
Every phone heats up and whats makes us not notice the heat in other phones is the cooling vapour chamber. Pixel 8 and older pixels dont have vapour cooling chamber if only google could could bring this it would make the phone felt much less heated. Bisides is feel tensor G3 conpared to older tensor is doing a pretty good job.
Yes, a lack of vapour chamber cooling is a flaw. A phone heating up in normal non-intense usage while any other phone price range doesn't, is sadly a flaw. Tensor G3 may be better than the tensor G2, but it is nowhere near Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 (which is almost a two year old processor at this point), let alone 8 Gen2 or 8 Gen3. I really want to like the pixel, but such flaws can bother people who want a reliable phone.
@@GauraangArora would you recommend trading pixel 8 for samsung s23. Would it be a good trade off. I love stock around but too tempted to get s23 as it has snapdragon 8 gen2.
@@irfanazeez19 if the heat is bothering you too much then yes. No AI and the camera will be a downgrade, but everything else will be an upgrade. But, why don't you try to trade in for the S24?
@@GauraangArora s24 has the Exynos processor, I am afraid eventually it would be same as tensor G3 or heating issues might come up.
@@GauraangArora When the phone heat-up in normal non-intense usage does that phone lags or anything or its just feel warm in hand?
google take risk of performance they can use snapdragon for performance like they were doing in previous pixels but they take this chipset tensor step because they know the bright future of tensor. whenever new things are made it take times to stablize same thing is going with tensor and as you know the upcoming tensor g5 google have long vision they know that this heatings throttle will happened two to three generatiion but after that ... something big happened
i used pixel for gaming and i gotta say in codm, when i games for about 1hr30m it didn't heat up even above 35°. i play on low graphics and 60fps because honestly nobody but tryhard gamers need all that. the performance was also very good
im not much of a gamer too but i have to say, if you take gaming seriously then pixel might not be for you. it's those phones that gets the job done and very good. just not the best.
Don't know about pixel 8 but this video and this mans storytelling is on point....❤
*That end was much like a climax of a great movie
Felt like a monologue🙌

I'm so glad you loved it! Thank you for all the kind words.
Great phone but as soneone who is coming from the pixel 4 there is very little reason to upgrade besides security updates. 5,6 amd 7 were minimal upgrades or even downgrades.8 will be good if it drops in price further. I would expect better video capabilities for a 9+.
Not with all the AI upgrades along with the camera hardware changes, and especially the display, if you use it after the Pixel 8, it will feel like a completely different phone. But yes, a further drop in price would help.
Lol it's not a minimal upgrade
The Pixel 4 was legendary

Bro, In Dubai Pixel 8- 41k and
Pixel 7 Pro- 47k . Which is the best value for money phone ?
I dont play games. I like AI features. Mostly use fb, youtube and google chrome. My movie media consumption mostly on Tab, so dont want that on phone. Want decent batteries. Want good cameras. Want to use for 4 or 4.5 years. Whats your suggestion?
I would honestly tell you get the deal on the pixel 8 then. If you're okay with spending more then even the 8 Pro sounds good for your usage. A solid and complete camera setup where you won't miss out on a dedicated telephoto, Plus all the AI features. Not too sure about the longevity and long term performance yet, but simple usage should still be fine for 3 years atleast.
@@GauraangArora Thank you for spending your time to reply me. Currently Pixel 8 Pro cost is high. I am gonna wait until Price drop for Pixel 8 Pro for sometime and then buy.

Bro, I genuinely want a good advice. I have to get a compact phone. I’m currently using iPhone XS, so something similar to this size. I’ve got some options, all of them with some issues :(
S24, all well, but exynos? Heating and battery backup(5g battery drain?) also, getting this for around 61k.
Pixel 8, tensor? Lag, Battery backup and the missing telephoto lens?
Iphone 15 - 60 hertz display, 2hrs for full charge, and missing telephoto lens. Battery found to be less than or equal to s24?
Can also consider for s23, but ‘ek saal purana ho gaya’. And ip15pro doesn’t seem to be a bang for buck this year, specially for the battery backup and heating issues with the chip.
I have no issues in switching from apple to android, since I’m not in an “ecosystem”. Just want a good phone for daily usage - socials, youtube, web surfing, maps etc. I don’t play games on phone.
TLDR - which phone to choose between S24/P8/iP15.
Honestly S24 is better than expected. And the iPhone 15 Pro is extremely reliable. The talk of overheating was long ago. It has been fixed for the most part and the phone has been one of the most reliable pieces of tech I have used since launch. In fact, that's also the next review I'm working on. And based on your usage, I would even recommended Pixel 8, just wait for a price drop, no better value than that for your use case.
@@GauraangArora thanks for replying man! Much appreciated.
So it’s basically,
iP15pro - if I could extend my purse
Pixel 8 - at USA pricing (549$~₹47k)
But S24? Better than expected, I mean people had fairly low expectations for exynos 2400 and better than expected could still not be at par with competition or for the price :)
So, should I wait for P8 price-drop/someone coming from US to grab me an Ip. Or go on with S24, like, right now!?
What would you have chosen?
The only thing I don't like about S24 is the camera and the heat. The rest of it is pretty good. Performance is incredible.
But yes, if you can get the pixel 8 for a great price nothing like it.
If you can't bring yourself to get either, just get the 15 Pro. Super safe choice. Or wait for my review for it and then take the decision.
@@GauraangArora sounds great, will wait for your video then. Thanks for clearing the clouds out.
