      Notifications are better, you don't need to open the pay app to pay, just present the phone from the lockscreen, you can share any images from any apps just by sliding it on the share button. You don't need to make a screenshot of the screen and select the part you want to send. Gestures are better, Google assistant can read any web pages aloud and many More

      I've used both 15 pro and Pixel 8. 15 pro is just as good if not better in some cases (airdrop, video quality, log shooting, app quality) but the pixel 8 is literally $1000 cheaper and does many things better than the 15 pro (screen call, Google assistant, photo editing ai, copy paste drawer, multi tasking) if money wasn't an issue. I'd get both 15 pro and Pixel 8 @@nickchkheidze9189

      True, there are different factors that play in, but to me , the pixel is a better value compared to the 15. I tried out pixel 8 because the iphone 15 would have just been a newer version of iphone 13 just with dynamic island and a "updated design".

    Fun review! I think the one area the Pixel 8 could really improve is battery drain - standby drain through the night is in the realm of 1-1.3% per hour which I think is pretty poor (ideally I would expect something like 0.5% or less), combined with a pretty fast drop in regular use, especially on 5G. Not sure if the Big G can improve/ fix this via software update, or is it deeper in the G3 hardware?

    • @fishc0p89
      @fishc0p89 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I think, they can still get this fixed via an update. It's more about an adjustment on how much battery the apps and system are training, rather than the chip. At least, I've been pretty alright with the battery. Don't know if they fixed that in an update over the last two months, but yeah.

    Hey Samuel, I was just scouting for pixel 8 real world usage videos to get a better understanding of the upcoming 8a that I am planning to buy and stumbled upon your videos in the recommendation list just after watching TheUnlockr's video, have to say your a totally different vibe compared to the most reviewers out there, I enjoyed a lot and especially the mention of "retired people" for acrobat. Dude it's been a WHILE since I actually enjoyed a tech review! You're a breath of fresh air! Usually tech reviewers have such high standards compared to the average user which makes people so indecisive when it comes to choosing their next phone. I had the iPhone 13 Pro Max and bought the Pixel 8 Pro and let me tell you, you are totally right! I do miss certain things about the iPhone like the amazing speakers and the heavenly bass but I much prefer the Pixel 8 Pro for the rest especially the photo editor and the assistant cause it's way better than Siri who got dumber through the years for some reason 🤷‍♂ And I much prefer the price of the Pixel phones. You've got a new subscriber 👍

    In battery standby test you did, the phone was just a day from factory. It ate battery during standby because it was doing it's background optimization. After a few days of using your Pixel 8, it will blow out both Zenfone and iPhone in battery.

      @thesamuelnam  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Pixel 8 and we’re both a few months used. Zenfone was a few more months used. I’ve used pixel 8 since launch. Battery ain’t no where near as good as Zenfone.

    Pixel is the phone that drags me out of the Apple ecosystem every few iterations.. they seem to be releasing more genuinely useful software/features than iPhone and I’ve always found assistant way more helpful than Siri. A few generations ago it was the ‘hold for me’ feature that blew my mind.

    so about the airdrop situation, there's nearby share, there's also nearby share for pc, and there's also an open source app that let fool your macbook to think that the android phone is an airdrop device

      @thesamuelnam ikr!? It's sooooooo useful. I switched to an s23 when I dropped my moto 5g ace in a river (whoops) on a camping trip and it's one of the features I miss the most, second only to the robust gesture controls motos have had for the past 4 or 5 years, phenomenal overlooked midrange phones!

    Your video is refreshing.
    Your channel deserve better exposure.
    Android has built-in "AirDrop" called "Nearby Share"
    You can "AirDrop" your file to your Windows Laptop.
    So... it becomes the ecosystem.
    If you fully commit to Android+Windows ecosystem, you miss nothing as in features.
    I use Windows PC, Android Smartphone, and Android Tablet. I can transfer every files, link, clipboard, like nothing.
    The problem is I am using Samsung which has bad integration with Windows.
    I cannot continue my browsing in Samsung Internet in my PC. If I am using chrome, I miss the Smartphone x Tablet integration which is really convenient.
