As a HUGE Buddy Holly fan and a guy who's only been learning to play the electric guitar for under a month, my aim is to learn this and play it to my wife on chrismas day! Thanks for the lessons.

Thanks Justin from Vancouver Canada. I play this with an A to E pattern on my '69 Silvertone which has a twangy sound giving any song a Rockabilly rhythm. The intro is where i need practice. Thanks again. You are tops!
Was completely _not_ expecting the Aussie accent after the Buddy Holly impression! LOL Sweet! Good playing, good singing -- and thanks for the tips. G'day, mate!
Granted, this comment is three years old. But I was curious, does Lubbock still have Prairie Dog Pete? I ended up with a button his randomly, and now he faithfully watches over my car via the visor.
still riding the beemer, but not so much over winter. might go and do the new refresher course with Lee, also gotta do the super moto ones too! Hope you're well dude!
Hi from Western Australia. Thanks heaps. I've been playing guitar for a while now and am able to learn any song you teach in about half hour, usually less. Great lessons!
I had a guitar twenty years ago in my late teens and could not have been more hopeless in every way and it then got lost. Your clips are so fun and informative to watch, I enjoy them even though I haven't got a guitar . 😆
Its Great how Justin still works on the Beginner Course and still improves and Completes each Stage and Skill level, day by day with new stuff. Such a nice person. Much Appreciacon for that Justin. Im your biggest Fan :-)
Hey Justin, loved the little Buddy yelp at 0:28 and 0:34. All that's missing are the famous specs! Seriously though this a good tutorial of a song that I learned as a beginner a long time ago and it's always a good one for those starting out to tackle. Unfortunately I didn't have a teacher like you and had to figure all this out for myself which in the long term was beneficial but took much longer. By the way the intro sounds fine to me. If it's not the same it's as close as damn it!
You have got a great catalog, and over-the-top great presentation of your lessons! Thank you for taking time to post! Also, most people do understand, as you explained it, that you can play a D, using the A position, from the capo on the 5th fret. Thanks again!
Cool 😎! This is one of the few songs I can actually sing well. Great intro! Am 52 and grew up with my parents playing 50's music. Now just need to play better😁. Thanks.
Cutest video fom you EVER!...LOL...I hit a super downer this week, playing burnout at my first 90 days. This is excatly what I need to pick up.. thank you!!! I see 9 years later I'm a bit late to the party...better late than never :-)
1:13 Chorus (x2 barre) D A D A (1 strum pause) E7 to A 1:43 Verse (x1 barre) D A D A D A B7 E7 4:20 Intro Slide 2S 4r to 5f Then 1s5f 2s5f Then just 2s4f 1s5f 2s4f Down the neck
Once again, great job! Been fumbling around the net looking for a decent version of Barely Breathing by Duncan Sheik. Any chance you could do that one for us? Lots of neat open chords and a sweet tune from the 90s. Great to sing. Peace.
Thanks for making it so easy to understand. What's that you're saying when you play that triplet rhythm? "OnetripletTwotripletThreetriplet" is that it?
@AmericanPIE1273 For the same, or less, money as a CD 60, try a Yamaha FG700s. Solid top, easy to set up (if needed), easy to play...and sounds terrific.
What I love most is your always having fun. I was first taught, "if you're not having fun, you're doing it wrong."
Good to spread Buddy Holly´s legacy on.
justin should geht a tv show... every saturday morning.. showing begginer lessons..Thumbs up
Don't ever stop teaching! Simply the best.

This was hilarious and brilliant in equal measure!
Great song, great lesson 👍
Great as always.
It would be nice if you could expand on " those kind of licks" since that is the best part?
Absolutely love the way you teach guitar...was wondering if you would do a lesson on "Scared" by the HIP?
Hi Justin, can you do a tutorial of "Dearest", I want to learn how to do the picking for it thanks.
