What I love most is your always having fun. I was first taught, "if you're not having fun, you're doing it wrong."
Good to spread Buddy Holly´s legacy on.
Thanks Justin from Vancouver Canada. I play this with an A to E pattern on my '69 Silvertone which has a twangy sound giving any song a Rockabilly rhythm. The intro is where i need practice. Thanks again. You are tops!
Buddy Holly is the best. Thank you for this video, and your free collection of videos. You have set the bar high. Much appreciation.
Was completely _not_ expecting the Aussie accent after the Buddy Holly impression! LOL Sweet! Good playing, good singing -- and thanks for the tips. G'day, mate!
I played this song at his statue in Lubbock Texas
Granted, this comment is three years old. But I was curious, does Lubbock still have Prairie Dog Pete? I ended up with a button his randomly, and now he faithfully watches over my car via the visor.

Wreck 'Em Tech !
That's superb!
Thank you so much I learned a lot about strumming and singing at the same time from this video
well done. you provide good instruction. Thank for taking the time to share.
Hi from Western Australia. Thanks heaps. I've been playing guitar for a while now and am able to learn any song you teach in about half hour, usually less. Great lessons!
You have got a great catalog, and over-the-top great presentation of your lessons! Thank you for taking time to post! Also, most people do understand, as you explained it, that you can play a D, using the A position, from the capo on the 5th fret. Thanks again!
I had a guitar twenty years ago in my late teens and could not have been more hopeless in every way and it then got lost. Your clips are so fun and informative to watch, I enjoy them even though I haven't got a guitar . 😆
Enjoy all your lessons Justin Well done

Sounds great, :-)
Your guitar playing is always top notch. I'm super impressed with your Buddy Holly voice in this one, though ;)
Great Lesson Justin!! Greetings from IOWA USA!!
Hey Justin, loved the little Buddy yelp at 0:28 and 0:34. All that's missing are the famous specs! Seriously though this a good tutorial of a song that I learned as a beginner a long time ago and it's always a good one for those starting out to tackle. Unfortunately I didn't have a teacher like you and had to figure all this out for myself which in the long term was beneficial but took much longer. By the way the intro sounds fine to me. If it's not the same it's as close as damn it!
lol "your turtle doving... whatever that is..." my sentiments exactly! lol That was pretty much what i said when as i read through the lyrics
Great Lesson - Thumbs UP!!
you are the man!
As a HUGE Buddy Holly fan and a guy who's only been learning to play the electric guitar for under a month, my aim is to learn this and play it to my wife on chrismas day! Thanks for the lessons.
You can do it! Are you using: www.justinguitar.com/classes/beginner-guitar-course-grade-one

Justin + Marty = The All Star Team :D
Thank you so much for this song. I really love Buddy Holly. Could you als tech us "Blue Days, Black Nights"?
Once again, great job! Been fumbling around the net looking for a decent version of Barely Breathing by Duncan Sheik. Any chance you could do that one for us? Lots of neat open chords and a sweet tune from the 90s. Great to sing. Peace.
hi justin, would you be able to do a lesson on the song rise above this by seether, would be a great help thanks bobby
Nice)
Thank you for this lesson! What are you doing in the intro, are you just picking the strings that your fingers are on or are you doing something else? Thanks in advance... your newest fan and student. Lisa :)
There should be a statue to Justin, down on CyberStreet; gosh, he makes me smile
That was uploaded on my birthday.
Intro at 4:02 minutes
castillowcr god bless you
Thanks for making it so easy to understand. What's that you're saying when you play that triplet rhythm? "OnetripletTwotripletThreetriplet" is that it?
Hey Justin, terrific lessons! One question though, you said that the D chord in the open position would be the A chord in the fifth with the capo. Wouldn't it be a G chord?
