The guy missed a few points. He barely mentioned the reclining rear seats, plus not really expounding on the seats sliding back n forth when seated in one. Also, if you buy/lease the next model down, which would be the Ultimate Sport T, which comes with a better engine, a Turbo Charged 4, which is powerful and fast. Step on it a bit and it takes off like a shot.:). This model has pretty much everything that the limited has, except no 3rd seat. The 3rd seat is really not that great anyway, unless you have several kids. A few extra tech things that are not worth the extra money. The Ultimate Sport T is great suv, rides smooth, tracks well and is comfortable. It has the shades, panoramic sunroof, cams, nav, etc. I live in Midwest and it’s great in the weather like snow, ice. I’m 6’4”, and I have plenty of room in drivers seat. Plus I get better mileage than apparently the V6 gets, as I avg 19 city and 28-30 on hwy. I wd highly recommend getting a Sante Fe Sport Ultimate Turbo. You cannot go wrong with it. DJ
Hi Hollis I just watched couple of your reviews, so great thank you. I have a Toyota Camry 2008 and decided to sell it and buy a seven seater SUV car. I checked a few of them but this is the problem: No one was as smooth and quiet as my old Camry. What 7 Seater do you recommend as a quiet smooth driving SUV?
Pej, have you taken a spin in the current Toyota Highlander? Those drive very nicely and are based on the current generation of Camry platform. If that doesn't suit your fancy, perhaps a Honda Pilot or Ford Explorer. Those three are very popular and for good reason. Which ones have you tried and not loved?
Yes, we are on our 4th Santa Fe, latest being a Monaco White 2015 Limited Ultimate AWD. Next one will be same, except the new Storm Blue color. Hyundai hasn't had a really nice Blue color since the Deep Water Blue they had in the mid-late 2000's, until this new Storm Blue color.
Hey if you are still interest in a Santa Fe , I am a salesman at Capitol Hyundai in Montgomery al. I would love to show you some, we have many Santa Fe’s in stock in all colors and options
Hi Brad, road noise was very hushed. Not many vehicles are Lexus quiet and I can't peg this one as THAT quiet, but given how great it was I would recommend driving one to see for yourself.
Each vehicle has checks and balances. The Explorer comes in many trim levels, so you can really hone in on the things you do want and not pay for things you don't. There are also a few engine choices available enabling more personalization there. As for the Hyundai, as with all of their products, value is built in from the get go. While you may pay $55k for a loaded Explorer, you won't even touch $50 for a loaded Santa Fe. The Hyundai also comes with a great warranty - 10 years/100K miles. I'd take both of them out (preferably back to back) and make a list of the things you do/don't like about each. Of course you can reach out here too and I'll help where I can.
Robert Williams. explorer sport is the best I had one but is too expensive just the lease on it $500 and up depent how u much u willing to put down this is with $3000 down. now I got pathfinder 2017 midnight edition but still explorer sport is faster
FWIW I was able to build a 2017 Explorer Sport on ford.com just now and came to a $424/mo payment with $2,999 for a 3/36 lease. Maybe New England has some deals going on that other spots don't right now.
Grappone Automotive Group . with your payment down like u said it will be $500 at least go to dealer just to check and let me know but if u getting the explorer get the 2018 much better looking with fog light
Not a fan of the tailpipes on the 2018, but I will look at both options. Really looking for an SUV that will age well. And with the rising mpg trend I am doubtful the Ford Explorer will be a viable contender in 3 years.
Nice video, very informative. I just bought a used one that I pick up on Saturday. I believe there were a few inaccuracies re the limited ultimate with tech package. The sport tech package per Hyundai’s site comes with the following not the non sport. Smart cruise control with stop/start Automatic emergency braking Lane departure warning Electronic parking brake High intensity discharge headlights Dynamic bending headlights
I just bought a used 2017 of this exact model, same color and everything which is crazy. The motors dont die, theres no reason to get brand new in my opinion. I got it about half the cost of what he was mentioning in the video. Absolutely love it!
I just can't believe the prices of kia and Hyundai went up so fast in few year back they were cheap vechiles. this particular car is $45,000. its better off with Nissan pathfinder or infinity
@Freddie Foodie King The 2.0T doesn't have the problem but the other engine is a pos. It started with a computer update then the check engine light will come on and the engine won't go above 2000 rpm. They put it a new wiring harness to try to fix it. After a little while the check engine light will come on again and this time they will replace the knock sensor. The next time they will replace the engine. I've read stories of people who are waiting on their 3rd engine. They used the same engine in the Sonara and it's having the same problem.
Great review, very thorough. I like your off the cuff remarks and sense of humor.
I was sold on this SUV half way through your video. Thanks for posting.
Hey, great to see you back Hollis. Super detailed review of this very classy SUV.
It's nice to be back Andrew!
Great job on explaining each trim level for options. Love your truthful humor! Thanks Hollis!
We all need to have fun in our lives, why not extend that joy to my viewers!
Definitely love these SUV’s ....had the Tucson now I’m getting the Santa Fe Limited Ultimate.
It is sad that they no longer sell this version in the US, the seven seater with the big sunroof.

what are the exact differences between a 2016 and 2017, limited and a ultimate limited??
Great video, Hollis! I might have to look into the new Santa Fe's now...lol. :)
You should Jonathon, they are sharp!
Exactly the vehicle I want. Color & packages.
This is a sharp looking, riding and driving SUV Rich Cooke - especially in this deep blue.

Just bought one today...I LOVE THE FEATURES OF THE LIMITED ULTIMATE

Road noise is a big deal to me, did you feel like it was very quiet in the cabin? I'm hoping it's almost lexus quiet.

I like your reviewing style.
Nice bro keep going
Excellent review.
I am stuck between this and a Ford Explorer. Do you have any pros or cons for either? I appreciate your time. Thanks!

great review
good review. very informative. nice car.
Hey Hyundai, I want a FREE one for This Christmass.
Is there a 2020 entry of this i love this car
I just bought a used 2017 of this exact model, same color and everything which is crazy. The motors dont die, theres no reason to get brand new in my opinion. I got it about half the cost of what he was mentioning in the video. Absolutely love it!
Awesome vehicle, great reviewer, but one thing it needs is a 110 power outlet.
what's the height of this reviewer
5"6"
Grappone Automotive Group you said 5' 7" in the video 😉
Edit: btw, I bought one today after watching your review and test driving one
I just can't believe the prices of kia and Hyundai went up so fast in few year back they were cheap vechiles. this particular car is $45,000. its better off with Nissan pathfinder or infinity
Do not buy a Santa fe sport. They have huge engine problems and they don't know what the problem is or how to fix it.
@Freddie Foodie King The 2.0T doesn't have the problem but the other engine is a pos. Hyundai lacks a real SUV. To compete with toyota prado
Khalid Alfadli you mean minivan prado'ing as an suv
