I wanted to say thank you for your video!! I have a Hyundai Santa Fe 2013. My mechanic wanted to replace the whole turbo because I had a loss in power at $2000. After watching your video I asked him to check the turbo actuator and because of your video I saved a lot of money on that part. That was the fix the actuator was bad. So I wanted to thank you so very much I love all your videos!!
I am surprised you didn't speak about the main issue, the burning of oil. My 2017 Sanatfe burns oil so fast. There's no oil level sensor in such a modern vehicle. Failure to manually check oil on a bi-weekly basis will lead to you engine breaking. If u want to get this vehicle check and top up oil every 2weeks otherwise your engine will break.
Great video but they forget the biggest issue with these vehicle. The engines blow up!!! I'm an Hyundai tech of 4 years. I'm replacing these engine and any of Hyundai 4 cylinders on almost a daily basis. There is a recall for this problem so if you have major engine troubles, call the dealer first.
I have a 2014 Santa Fe Sport 2.0T. Last September, (2020) we were pulling a utility trailer (empty) back to our house, about an hours drive. We just bought it (used). It was banging up and down at the tongue, and I was getting concerned, though it wasn't loose. Suddenly, the engine slowed down, wouldn't rev up, but I was able to maintain some speed. I stopped to check it out, nothing seems to be wrong otherwise. So a check with a meter at an auto parts store revealed my knock sensor went out due to the noise my trailer was making. After checking up on line, we found the sensor was on *recall* . So check your VIN to see if yours is on recall. After talking to Hyundai, they said the *whole engine was on recall* ! So they replaced the engine with a new factory engine including the knock sensor and, according the build sheet, the turbo as well! Didn't charge us a thing. Took about six weeks, they gave us a loaner car from the rental next door. No issues, 100% guaranteed engine, full drive train to a hundred thousand miles! It was around 76K when it went out. So I still have a hundred thousand miles on it to go! I just wished that American cars and trucks (are you reading this GM?) would give this kind of service!
Thanks A1 Auto, for the informative video. I bought a 2017 Sport , lease return, from my local dealer in 2018. Called the former lessor, to get his input. He told me the reason he returned it after only a year, was that he needed the larger model to haul his grandchildren around. So he bought the version with extra seating. Otherwise he loved it. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this vehicle, and would consider another in the future. Mine now has 58k, and is dealer maintained. I will say, I do prefer the screen location in this model, to the newest version. Gas mileage has been steady, between 25-28mpg. I’m hoping to keep this one for many years, because it does feel like a solid design and ride. Very comfy.
Knock sensor tripped in my used 2013 Santa Fe just a few months after I bought it. Turned out to be a machining error on the bolts, causing metal flakes to get into the oil and circulate. I got a brand new engine installed by Hyundai via recall. Love my Santa Fe and I love that the company made it right. Will be upgrading to a newer one soon!
We had this same issue in our 2013 at 65K miles. Hyundai replaced the engine with no problems, even covered a rental while they were working on it. This is our second Santa Fe, will probably buy another one when this one kicks it.
It is a lower crankshaft bearing that gets chewed up causing the metal flakes not a machining error. They used cheap bearings. Almost all Hyundai’s are affected between 2013-2018

I beg to differ on issue P2562 - "Turbo Waste gate actuator voltage out of range". This can be fixed by simply adjusting the length of the actuator's connecting rod to bring the voltage output of the actuator back into its required voltage range (typically 3.9 to 4.1 volts DC). This should be tried first to eliminate the need to replace the actuator or turbo unit. Takes about 1 hr for an inexperienced mechanic to complete. I've done it myself, and it worked great and saved me a LOT of money.
Watch out for the oil pressure sensor on the 3.3 V6. It can blow apart on hard acceleration. Results in Massive oil loss oil pressure light on and a big repair bill with a tow as you won’t have enough oil in the engine to drive it to a service station. Dealers are well aware of this common problem with the V6 and the oil pressure switch can blow out more than once in the life of the car. Should definitely be a recall. 3.3 V6 is also direct gas injection and gets oil dirty faster than most engines and has comparably poor mileage to other V6s
I dealt with most of these problems recently with my used 2013. It got to the point where it wouldn't accelerate past 25 MPH. Hyundai replaced my engine at no cost. I had approximately 99,535 miles on it when the problems started.
One key issue (arguably the single most important) not mentioned in this video: the direct fuel injection for this series WILL cause catastrophic engine failure sometime between 30,000 and 200,000 miles. Mine died at 123,000. Through the course of this drama, I spoke with multiple Hyundai techs who told me it's sort of a "public secret" that Hyundai has chosen to omit from any service bulletins. The upside is that if you take your Hyundai in to the dealer, they're very likely to replace your engine with a rebuilt engine one (which will, sadly demonstrate the same failure at some point-in which case, you'll have to "rinse & repeat.")
Just had this done on April of 2022. They have a recall now on several Hyundai and Kia engines 2011-2016. I've had so many issues with ignition coils, spark plugs, turbo and yet they did NOT replace those parts due to the main issue that led to these parts failing. I've just purchased another set of ignition coils since the engine was replaced. Replacing the engine (which is actually just failed parts inside it) does not fix the domino parts that have been affected by these issues that car makers will not take responsibility for. Not impressed by dealerships lack of pushing for makers to actually fix the FULL issues that consumers should not have to cover due to their poor craftsmanship.
Right now my Santa Fe Sport 2.0T is consuming 1 quart of oil every 600 miles Hyundai is in the process of approving a new engine under warranty. 134,000 miles and Hyundai wants to make it right. Good company
I have a 2014 Santa Fe Limited 2.0T and just had the rear differential fail. 160,000 km and it started clunking in the rear. Most noticeable on turns. Oil was replaced at 100,000 km.
@@OKMadCat Our 2013 2.0T is at 102,000 miles. We've had zero issues. I'd say 95% city miles. I'm no mechanic (RN), but I do all my own work. I sent oil to Blackstone labs at 80,000 miles and again at 100,00 miles out of curiosity and they said the oil was pristine.
Another common problem I have found with and a few other hyundais, is the discharge hose from the a/c compressor leaks, the rubber hose must shrink in the aluminium crimp letting the gas leak out, It's easy to tell, just look at the hoses that run off the compressor, it's the thinner of the 2, look there the rubber hose is crimped to the aluminium, if it's covered in oil, there's your problem, the hose will either need to be repaired or replaced with a new one
The biggest thing in my ownership of a 2014 turbo is the factory recall on the engine, due to some kind of residual residue in the engine it clogs ports in your engine and then oil can't get to the bearings so the bearings end up going Hyundai actually replaces your engine for free I was driving down the road my vehicle went into limp mode it was the knock sensor the engine was definitely knocking the bearings went and getting a new engine put in now
Have a 2013 hyandai Sante Fe. After driving and going up the smallest of hills, the breaks will engage and the car will not move until it cools off. It will also have a burning smell of which we assume was from brake fluid leaking?? Took to dealership and they couldn’t figure it out but wanted to charge $2000 to replace abs system but couldn’t guarantee that would fix the problem. This was what was told after having the car at dealership for over 2 weeks. We couldn’t pay $2000 for what “may or May not be the problem “, so took it to a shop and he replaced the abs sensor and system and still didn’t work and he finally gave up not able to figure it out. Made complaint to Hyundai, took info and about 3 weeks later they called and said there’s nothing they can do. It’s not on recall. Do you know what could possibly be causing break to engage after going up the smallest of hills. When it does it, it also smells of fluid as if the break fluid is leaking out. It will not move until it cools off and it got to the point where it didn’t matter if it was a hill, it would just stop. And isn’t it ridiculous dealership can’t figure it out? We can’t drive it and can’t afford new car. Help!!
Thank you! I first got a code to replace the camshaft position sensor. When I replaced and it still didn’t start, The code then showed the crankshaft Position sensor. I just received the part and I pray it’s the answer. What symptom my car had was it did stall and not start. Praying this crankshaft position sensor does the job!

Shoot, i went through 2 engines. I finally took it to hyundai and they replaced it and gave me a brand new one for free. Theres a recall on this generation. Mine is the 2.0t AWD sport
I have a 2013 Sport 2.0T. Lost the engine at 131k and it sat for nearly a year. It was June or July of 2020 that I learned Hyundai had extended the warranty on the 2.0T engine to lifetime. By August it was back on the road with a brand new engine from the dealership, absolutely zero dollars! I had to replace 3 wheel hubs to pass inspection in April of 2019, haven't had a problem with them since. My back-up camera hasn't worked since I bought it. I've lost 2 windshields. The thing is a tank on snow and ice with proper tires, way better AWD system than my Honda Element. It's had it's problems but I like the rig!
My 2014 Santa Fe only had washer bottle crack, driver's exterior handle break and the stereo started turning itself on when parked. All fixed under warrantee. Had it for four years.
Just bought a 2013 Santa Fe 54k miles. Finding Lots of little things to repair. Hope to read up on the Manual & find a *local Mechanic in Honolulu to be safe.. 🤙
I have a 2015 Santa Fe Sport , with a few customs touches. My only problem has been the right rear hub bearing..expensive fix. Bought it brand new and it has been a great car.. have about 64,000 miles on it. Also had the brake system recall on it.
My wife had a '14 Santa Fe we bought used off a private seller. Never had any issues with it, got a recall notice about the ABS system possibly causing a fire, made an appointment for 7:30 on a Saturday and got it checked out, fast forward 3 days later little old lady runs a stop sign, the wife t-bones her and totals the car. At least I woke up bright and early on Saturday to handle that recall....LOL.
I had a 2011 Santa Fe and my friend has a 2012 Elantra GT. Both our crankshaft sensors went bad. The car would stall, and wouldn’t start for a little bit. Same problem, on the older gen Hyundais too.
3 questions: I have a 2016 Santa Fe Sport 2.4L. 1. Is it ok to remove the shield underneath the vehicle to allow easier access to the oil drain bolt and filter? I live in the south so no worries of snow, salt getting up into my engine. 2. My Santa Fe does not come equipped with foglights, only the cover knockouts, i want to eventually install foglamps, does this vehicle have the factory foglamp wiring harnesses to connect into? 3. Does the 2.4L have a timing belt or timing chain?
I bought a 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport 2 weeks ago from a local dealership. I just took it out of town for the first time. I have a 2019 2.0 litre turbo Santa Fe (it's 5 years old now) with push button start. There are 76k kilometerrs on it. Sometimes it won't start. I hear the clicking of the starter relay picking up, but the starter won't even turn over. It's almost like there is some kind of interlock issue. It's very intermittent and just starting happening about 1 year ago. The battery is ok. I swapped the starter relay and that did'nt make any difference. Sometimes when it won't start, I wait a few minutes and then try starting it through the bluelink app; and it still won't start. Then I'll try again 10 minutes later and it starts ok from the push button. Sometimes it does start from blue link app. I also changed the batteries in the key fob and that did'nt make a difference. It's a very random issue but lately it's happening more frequently. Next I will try cleaning the starter electrical terminal connections (positive and ground terminals) but I doubt that is the issue. Does anybody else have this issue ? Any ideas what else I can check ? I did take it to the dealership and they scanned it for codes and found nothing. They tried to replicate the non-start issue, but it kept starting ok at the dealership. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thank you (Dec 11, 2023).
This vehicle on the video seems to have significant rust and corrosion on exposed under vehicle parts. We don't see that here in a dryer part of the country. Another "issue" with this vehicle is premature wear from the front sway bar links that results in clunking even over very small bumps. Best to replace with Moog links which have fittings to grease. This vehicle, as most know, has a GDI injection system which can result in excessive loss of performance/power due to carbon build up on the back side of the intake valves. I have found that an intake cleaner (such as CRC) simply sprayed into the intake makes a significant difference. A way to reduce the build up this is to install a simple oil "catch can" in line with the vacuum line going into the PCV .....just have to drain the "can" about every oil change.
I did exactly the same thing and the vehicle runs fine. In the last two years, the engines have gdi and efi to eliminate the need for valve cleaning. Other manufacturers have done that also.

My 2014 Sport 2.0T died on a trip out of state. It was the inevitable engine going into slowdown mode. Hyundai paid for the repairs, but it took quite a while to get back. Great vehicle otherwise. Knew that mileage sucked going into the deal
I've whatched your video and I have the exact symptoms you mentioned for my turbo and was told I need to change the turbo. Only thing is that the code I get is P2565. Could that be the same thing or is it something completrly different?. Thanks
I have a sticky steering wheel problem. The steering wheel doesn't center and stick to the turn position for smaller turns, and it's not rotating smoothly. Could you please suggest what checks that must be done to resolve it.
I have a 2015 Santa Fe and this past November the engine issue bit me. It wouldn't rev above 2000 rpm's. It was a fatal flaw but thankfully Hyundai replaced the engine at no cost to me. It's been fine since then but the thought is always in the back of my mind that it could happen again to the new engine. We will see.

can anyone tell me the gas range they get with their car? i have a 2013 Santa Fe Sport 2.0T AWD SE i bought used last year and I feel the range I get with the car is really bad. Full tank gets me about 420km/260 miles which I consider bad. I do mostly city driving, but am a master at driving efficiently and coasting, lowering my mpg. Still only shows 12-13L/100km which is bad imo, that reason alone has me trying to sell my car for a sedan (civic, accord, camry, mazda3 mostly etc).

One question. My wife’s car was shaking when braking we changed rotors and brakes and went away for 4 month . Now symptom is back. Can it be wheel alignment or uneven tire. What you think it can be.
I have a 16 santa fe se I'm having a ticking noise coming from the engine when car is at idle and gets louder with acceleration. It has 78k miles started around the 70k+ mark Do you have any opinions on the cause . I heard it could be a exhaust manifold leak or maybe valve slap. Any answer would help thanks a bunch
HI The black plastic bit on the end of the spring loaded fuel door release latch has broken of. Is it an easy fix at home of do I need to pay a fortune to replace it at the garage
I have a 2015 santa fe and it just started a bad knocking 2 days ago and when I drove from work yesterday it was stalling and knocking even louder any advice
The knock sensor thing is interesting because my 2014 I must not have one because my engine started knocking very loudly all the sudden and no engine lights or anything came on. Now Hyundai wants to replace the whole motor without it giving me any financial assistance and I don’t know what to do, what is this knocking?
They should have dropped that 2.4 engine a long time ago. The new ones no longer have that issue. The sonata are the same for the same year models. Engine went into limp mode and had to get a refurbished engine which hyundai covered. Stay away from the 13 through 17 sonata and Santa fe!
I've had most of these problems.: Engine and turbo were replaced early last year; knock sensor replaced; waste gate replaced; backup camera not working. Worst paint issues of any car I've ever owned or seen...ridiculous!

I had a 2014 Hyundai Sant Fe limited AWD and the AC went out at 60,000 miles as well as the transmission and I never towed anything with it... This winter we had a bad snowstorm and my husband got stuck trying to go up a hill with NEW tires (and it's close to $1k to replace tires on this thing). It having AWD was one of the main reasons we bought it and paid wayyyy too much for it. Cars were driving past him like it was nothing! We had multiple electrical issues with it as well. The check engine light constantly came on and off and after running diagnostics, no one could figure out what the heck was wrong with the thing. And don't get me started on that stupid key fob. If the battery dies in it, you can't drive at all. So you better keep button batteries with you at all times. And the cargo space is crap too. If someone wants third row seating and decent trunk space, get a minivan or a large SUV. Overall, just not worth how much I paid for the vehicle. Everyone told me to get a Honda or Hyundai and now I will get American made since the parts are at least readily available and don't cost an arm and a leg. I know most reviews are positive on this vehicle, but I wouldn't recommend it.
I have 2015 SantaFe(XL) now with 93k...ZERO problems until last week when I needed the LF hub bearing replaced(under warranty). I use winter snow tires/wheels and have never been stopped in 6 winters in Chicago. Sorry to hear you bought a bad Hyundai. This is my third, all three SantaFes were zero problems.( I replaced OE battery last year and brakes and tires around 75k. That's it. I am a moderately aggressive type driver and don't baby the vehicle.
Let me add to the problem list. The A/C high side discharge line leaks refrigerant and the early 2013-14 AWD models have rear differential coupler issues. Makes a popping type sound in the rear when turning slowly. How do I know? Cause I diagnose and fix this junk. haha
@010 Hyundai veracruz. Can you teach me how to fix the rear hatch lift? All other doors are open with the key fob, but not this one. Electrical? Mechanical? How can a car company not put.a key lock on the back door? Any electrical diagrams? WTF it has been a year now.

yes but nowadays there are many people who would say a car is trash if it has any problem, no matter how minor it is. I've seem people saying they will not buy a specifically car brand because a button stopped working, a battery went dead or a suspension rattle.
I have a 2013 Santa Fe Sport, 2.0 Turbo. Just the past few months I've had the wastegate stick open. 1st time for two days, threw the check engine light, then starting working again. Yesterday, same problem going to the office, but coming home it was fine. Except the 8" screen quit working. This morning the screen was back on. Weird, but otherwise it's been a good vehicle. 86K miles on it, rides like new, but may be time to replace it.
My screen reboot all the time. There is a chip on the system who need to be replace. It don't like the +30° / -30° C... But the dealer only replace the whole infosystem... for 5000$ brand new or 2000$ remanufactured. I have a 2014.
@@FrankNado Ouch! The electronics is the main reason I bought the extended warranty. Alas, even that has expired now. The screen going blank has happened just once, but I've had it stick in night mode several times and the dealership has no idea. Fortunately is starts working normally after a day or so.
anyone else here with a 2017 hyundai santa fe and going over even small/medium bumps its like "boom - boom" and you can feel it. from your experience what is the best solution
Ours has never had a problem, but I never realized how small the display screen is on our 2013 until I saw this video :) The 2013 screen is like 3 inches.
Same here! Today 218'000 kms. 200k kms changed the "viscous coupling", one wheel bearing(front) and a rear wiper motor... nothing else! And i'm not known to be gentle on vehicules... ;) VERY SATISFIED
Need to add turbo oil feed line to the list. Hard to diagnose because it drips oil onto the drive shaft which throws oil all over. If you have oil on the passanger side suspension arms and lower section of the engine but not directly below the valve cover then the turbo oil feed tube is most likely your culprit.

What year model?
My 2015 Santa Fe tranny went at 95km .
5 months still not back from dealership.
I liked my Hyundai…. Until I didn’t .
Will never buy another one
I have a 2014 Santa Fe Sport 2.0T. I have had zero problems with it.
How many miles are on yours? City/ highway mostly? Just curious.
You’re lucky, because I have the same and been plagued by a check engine light at 70k miles no one has been able to resolve.
See my comment (9/21/2021). Check your VIN, you may have an engine and/or knock sensor recall. Take advantage of it, it's worth it.
+Matthew Dimauro Thanks for the feedback!

Mine had a air conditioner line leakage and rack and pinion issue. I heard both very common. It is a good car but parts are quite expensive.
My 2018 Santa Fe windshield is rattling a bit , can it be tightened ? Excellent videos
True....had to replace front and rear hub bearings...expensive too! Over $300 per bearing. Also had engine recall.

Dude, how about the premature bearing wear on ALL 2.4 ltr theta engines? (DOES THAT RING A BELL!)
I am about to buy a second hand santa fe with replaced engine by hyundai dealership same model, would you recommend buying it?
Do you know if that warranty extension would apply to my 2017 2.0T?
No mention of the 2013 Santa fe transmission going bad with only 80k miles ??? I believe it is the ctv transmission.
Also had the brake system recall on it.
hi if I may ask what custom part u did I have 2017 hyundai santa fe thanks
Would help if you note which engine you are referring to. this vid is for the 4 cyl, 2.0 Turbo.
I have a 2014 Santa Fe sport. Super super reliable car with no problems whatsoever so far.
What’s the mileage on it ? Im wondering because im leasing one with 100,000 k miles
What about the 2.2crdi Grand Santa Fe (Maxcruz) from 2017?
Love my 2012 Hyundai sante fe just fixed my engine ignition switch and my timing belt
My grandma has had this one and the 18 version and no issue yet
Our 2015 Santa fe sport engine blew up and was replaced for the crank bearings other than that we had no problems with it. Zero cost to us
3 questions: I have a 2016 Santa Fe Sport 2.4L.

As I was trying to accelerate to merge onto interstate, the rpm’s revved up, but my vehicle was barely accelerating. Then all of a sudden my vehicle caught up to the speed I was trying to go then the rpm’s went down. Can anyone help?
Not to mention paint chipping 😡 Hyundai need to recall their vehicles and fix their peeling paint issues
Nice video thanks Any info on active hood lift system faults?
13-17 had the engine failures. They seemed to have fixed the problem for the 18.
My car jerks att take off every now & then. Whts the cause
This videos are really helpful. Thank you so much, your a legend!
Other manufacturers have done that also.
i have a parking brake actuator failure which is costing 1600 euro to replace ,it seems its a common fault ,electronic parking brake just stopped working on my 2016 santa fe ,only 105 000 kilometers on the clock
Just bought my 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited and thus far I love it, but tbf it's still early into my buying deal to complain 😂
I have a 2017 santa fe limited 3.3.
I change the oil every 7500 miles and it doesn't use a drop.
My 2014 Sport 2.0T died on a trip out of state. It was the inevitable engine going into slowdown mode. Hyundai paid for the repairs, but it took quite a while to get back. Great vehicle otherwise. Knew that mileage sucked going into the deal
Is it possible to replace the back up camera with a better quality one, mine works but I find other cars have much clearer picture.
My Santa Fe is a great car, no issues at all.👍🏼
What year and km ?
2018 at 40k,
I have an oil leak on my 2015 santa fe sport.dealership said the turbo needs replacing. Can you tell me approx how much part is? Should I trade it in?
i really like the way this generation looks and was considering picking up a used 17-18' model but the 2.4L engine issues kept me from doing so.
@@williamgualdoni85 I had the same issue in 2014 turbo. vehicle went into limp mode the engine started knocking engine light came on with a knock sensor code but Hyundai is replacing the engine now for free
I think one more is that after you hit 100k miles the car starts consuming the oil in an alarming rate and most of times is not the PVC valve
Hello I like your channel got a question 2014 Santa Fe does it have 1 timing chain or 2 can u please let me kno
Do these cars need to have the intake valves carbon cleaned?
is it normal to get white smoke from the exhaust of 2013 model? not excessive but when you hit the gas you can see a good amount of it
can anyone tell me the gas range they get with their car? i have a 2013 Santa Fe Sport 2.0T AWD SE i bought used last year and I feel the range I get with the car is really bad.
I have a used 2017 hyundai santa fe and had it diagnose and it said i needed new coils and spark plugs which i had them replaced but my car still saying misfire with coils and spark plugs and still stalling and not giving power im thinking its the actuator

My 2015 has been stalling when pushing the gas pedal from a stop. Just recently, when it’s parked it starts shaking really bad and stalls.
Which model and mileage?
Mine just started shaking and cutting off at any time
Happened to me when coming off hwy transmission does not come out of overdrive and caused the same problem you have
One question. My wife’s car was shaking when braking we changed rotors and brakes and went away for 4 month . Now symptom is back. Can it be wheel alignment or uneven tire. What you think it can be.

I'm having a ticking noise coming from the engine when car is at idle and gets louder with acceleration. It has 78k miles started around the 70k+ mark
Do you have any opinions on the cause . I heard it could be a exhaust manifold leak or maybe valve slap. Any answer would help thanks a bunch

The black plastic bit on the end of the spring loaded fuel door release latch has broken of. Is it an easy fix at home of do I need to pay a fortune to replace it at the garage
I have a 2015 santa fe and it just started a bad knocking 2 days ago and when I drove from work yesterday it was stalling and knocking even louder any advice
No codes come up but abs light and traction lights on for a 2018. I’m thinking it could be a wheel speed sensor but 🤷♀️
The knock sensor thing is interesting because my 2014 I must not have one because my engine started knocking very loudly all the sudden and no engine lights or anything came on. Now Hyundai wants to replace the whole motor without it giving me any financial assistance and I don’t know what to do, what is this knocking?
What about the block millings found in the crank oil holes
They should have dropped that 2.4 engine a long time ago. The new ones no longer have that issue. The sonata are the same for the same year models. Engine went into limp mode and had to get a refurbished engine which hyundai covered. Stay away from the 13 through 17 sonata and Santa fe!
I’m in the market for one I saw a 2014 Santa Fe Sport 2.0T is that a good car it’s threw carmax
Are any of these expensive fix?
Would the hub bearing going bad cause the vehicle to be all over the road?
I've had most of these problems.: Engine and turbo were replaced early last year; knock sensor replaced; waste gate replaced; backup camera not working. Worst paint issues of any car I've ever owned or seen...ridiculous!

My 2015 Santa Fe has just developed the turbo boost control actuator fault, very expensive fix, only done 30,000 miles.
My 2018 smells like burning engine coolant when the engine is hot . But no indications of leaks !

I have a 2017 and I already have the first three issues the thing is finding a mechanic to do it nobody wants to work on my car 😢
+Rachel Hohman Jordan Thanks for the feedback!
DON NOT BUY AMERICAN MADE TRUCKS! unless it's an older early 2000s Tahoe or denali..that's it!! All the other trucks are nightmares...trust me
I have 2015 SantaFe(XL) now with 93k...ZERO problems until last week when I needed the LF hub bearing replaced(under warranty).
Just get a Toyota lol
Lucikly never had any of those with my 2017 santa fe sport.
Let me add to the problem list. The A/C high side discharge line leaks refrigerant and the early 2013-14 AWD models have rear differential coupler issues. Makes a popping type sound in the rear when turning slowly. How do I know? Cause I diagnose and fix this junk. haha
I have a code p1326 and replaced knock sensor and spark plugs what could be the issue?

yes but nowadays there are many people who would say a car is trash if it has any problem, no matter how minor it is. I've seem people saying they will not buy a specifically car brand because a button stopped working, a battery went dead or a suspension rattle.
I drive a 2020 2.0tt Limited. It is a lease so repairs are totally free.
I'll add that this was a 2017 recall but mine just failed in 2021.
