    Although I am not a senior, yet, I prefer watching your videos for all things iOS. No cheesy music, no gimmicks, no unnecessary talk. Just straight to the point, concise and easy to understand.

      YOOOO I WAS LITERALLY ABOUT TO COMMENT THE SAME THING! Im 27 and I have already mastered apple notes but I like these videos for seniors just by the way it is explained and the simplicity of it and occasionally I actually learn something I didn't know! Thank you!

    Ellen, what a wonderful video tutorial on how to use Apple Notes! You spoke clearly and slowly enough for your listeners to be able to grasp what you were saying. And by slowly showing what to click on to achieve the tasks you made it so easy to follow! My husband has so many issues with using his iPhone to it’s fullest ability. I can’t wait to share this video with him! Thanks so much for making and sharing this video!

    Wow! I agree with Alicia. You are a very easy person to learn from. You put the information out there for us slow learners to grasp it easily. I’ve been “playing” around with notes for awhile now and I learned so much in a few minutes listening to you. I’ve watched a few other videos on this topic and they all talk too fast for me to see or listen to. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

      Did you know that you can slow down a video? Go to the settings icon ( it looks like a cog wheel) at the top right hand corner of the video screen you are watching. Click on it and you will then get some options. Click on playback speed. I often find the 0.75 speed suits me

    Great video. It helped me sort through the numerous options I have for note taking with my iPad Pro. I'm somewhat invested in Notability and GoodNotes but therein lies the problem: I'm too fragmented. It turns out I don't actually make "pretty" notes like some TH-camrs do with these two apps so my best option might be the practical choice. Apple Notes has served me well over the years but I've never really used it beyond its most bonehead simple capabilities. Time to revisit this app. Thank you.

    OMG why am I just seeing your YT Channel now! Your videos are so informative and delivered in such a way that you can sit with your iPhone/iPad in hand and follow along!! I love it ❤. Subscribed. Not sure if you've covered this in another video yet, but Apple Notes and iCloud. That confuses me and I wish I could understand how it works, because Notes on my iMac and Notes on my iPhone don't seem to function exactly the same way. On my iMac, I can't find a lot of the notes that I have on my iPhone. If you haven't covered that, I'd love to see a video on that! Thank you so much for all you're doing to help us sort through the confusion!

    Thanks so much! Ok, I'm going to admit here that I have always been a MS PC/Android user and thought Apple was weird and a joke. But as I've gotten older I finally understand. They are not stupid nor weird nor are they a joke. They make everything so simple and connected. I just never understood the learning curve and couldn't get my head out of the way I always did things, the MS way. I would get frustrated often...like with Notes. When actually it was quite simple and magical. I hated Notes in till you showed me in this video how to use it. In my old age I'm now starting to become a fan of Apple! Why did I wait so long?
    P.S. I am also visually Impaired and Deaf (wear a CI) and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that I can speak to text in notes!!! This I know is helpful for elderly who have difficulty hitting the small letters as well. And in regards to sound, Only Apple streams to CI's ! Steams any sounds directly to my CI ! Magical!

    I found something really cool. I scanned the USPS tracing code on my printed receipt, and Notes instantly created a link for the USPS tracking, which in turn provided the delivery information. I wasn't expecting that at all. I though I would just have the code so I could copy and paste it .

    Amazing tutorial, I use Apple notes, a lot, but you added some great info Ellen. I almost didn’t click on your video because you said it was for seniors, then I thought I’m 62, dam that’s me now. Again thanks, oh can the ruler be turned in notes?

    • @EllensTipsForiOS

      Thanks Brian! I don’t believe the ruler can be turned into a note! It’s for guidance purposes.

    Ellen, truly appreciate your Tips! For this video, you mentioned sharing/syncing across multiple iOS devices. I am not able to do that, is there a video of yours that covers this? Thank you in advance for your help & for these videos!

      You are so welcome Terri! If you are using iCloud go to : Settings>Your Name at the top> iCloud Now make sure you have toggled on the switches next to each app you want to sync across your devices. Ex: Notes if the switch is toggled on your notes will sync across all your devices.

    Thanks.. Could you do a video to explain how to save and retrieve documents/photos/screenshoots to my device only, not to iCloud, so that I can view when I’m not on the internet/wi fi (not that I’m sure of the difference between the two!!) Thanks again your videos have helped me a lot!

      Research how to use notes app as a pdf reader. I just learned this, and have used my iPad and Notes to scan and organize all my legal documents.

    Thank you for a very informative presentation. We are new RV’ers and are particularly interested in planning and managing our trips using Notes. Is there a way to link emails relating to reservations, etc. to Notes, much as you explained for maps?

    • @EllensTipsForiOS
      @EllensTipsForiOS  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Patrick, Yes there absolutely is. Thanks for the question. If you have your email app and notes app opened. You can just create a new note. Name the note how you choose, and then drag the email over to that note and drop it. You will then have a link back to that email anytime you wish. I hope that helps. If you need more help reach out to me on my blog there’s a link in the description. I’d be happy to help.

    • @EllensTipsForiOS
      @EllensTipsForiOS  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much! Are you sure you want to delete all your photos. If you delete them from your phone they will be deleted from iCloud. Is your phone full or is iCloud full? If it’s an iCloud issue you might want to consider buying more storage.

    For a grocery list, the reminders app has a template that automatically sorts items by grocery store section. Much better than notes for the grocery store.

      Thanks for your kind words bigsexy604! You can’t change the color of notes on the iPhone or iPad. You would need to do that on the Notes app on your Mac.

    Amazing review!!! Yeah Apple Notes has become so good these days. (iOS 16)
    It comes with checklist, tags, folder hierarchy that enables you to have folders inside folders, add drawings, tables, etc.
    Sadly it wasn't the app for me 😂😂
    I still prefer Evernote or Bear. 😅
