It's a gamechanger. When they first announced it I didn't really see the value, but as I started using it I understood how powerful that tool can be! Thanks for watching!
Both are great tools! Keep watching, I'm sure there will be more great takeaways for you! And please let me know if there are any specific topics you'd like me to cover.
EverNote is barely still alive. I expect more and more Apple users to choose Notes over Evernote… And more and more PC/android users to find other alternatives. It's just a matter of time, the writing is already on the wall.
Absolutley. The next video i release will be all about how to organize notes, and folders is a big part of it!!! You can create a new folder easily from the bottom left corner on the phone (you have to be on the folders view), or on the bottom left corner on the Mac Notes App.
My quick notes does not have an add link option ???? Any help ? iPhone 14 Pro Max. And my iPad Pro as well… .both are up to date. I love the idea of this feature …. Please help :(
I'm not sure why you are not finding the ad link option… I have tested it on my devices, and it works for me. What would be helpful is to walk me through how you are using it (what app is open, how you are creating the quick note, any specifics on how you're accessing it, etc.…) Also, I have found that when people have increased their text size, it sometimes affects functionality. So, if your text has been increased, try reducing it and seeing if that helps. So that I can hopefully figure out why it's not working for
how do I search to find only AI and not all notes that have ai (such as AirPods, AirTags etc. I tried "AI" but it failed to narrow it down. I have taken alot of classes about AI (artificial intelligence ) and want to find them only. Learned a lot from this lecture-thanks.
Unfortunately, there is no way to do that... yet. Hopefully iOS 18 will help, but I kind of doubt it. You can leave feedback for Apple on this topic here: www.apple.com/feedback/ (which I have also done)> Apple cares about feedback but doesn't always prioritize it.
@@TheMacWhisperer Thanks for taking your time to reply! I too could not find anyway to do it. So I just had to create a folder, then drag & drop them to AI folder. 😋
I would suggest using a hashtag to sort things. You could have one tag called: #Recipe and one called #Favorites then you could create a smart folder that collects anything that has both of those hashtags. Then anytime you tag a recipe as a favorite it would show up there. you could also create a single hashtag that is #Recipe-Favorites, but personally I always prefer shorter tags and the ability to combine them. Hope that helps!
Hard to know... I have been playing with the Beta version of iOS 18, but so far, it's the same issue. Hopefully, as they continue to develop it, they will add that... but for now, it's still missing.
In order for quick links to add a link you have to be in a supported app. The supported apps are Apple apps like Safari, notes, contacts, messages, email reminders… Etc. It may work on other third-party apps, but not reliably. When you are in one of those apps and pull down the control panel to click quick note it should give you the option of adding the link. If you're still having trouble please let me know what app you are in and I will test it on my side.

The three dots on my Notes app only shows view as gallery, select notes, and view attachments. I can get to what you see only by going into settings and choosing the Notes app. Is there some way to change that so it shows up the way yours does?
I am on the latest version of iOS; however, I was looking at folders on the iCloud, which did not show the options you had. But when I looked at the folders on my phone it did. So I’m guessing that’s the issue.
I would have enjoyed this video if it hadn’t been for the Muzak in the background. Makes me feel I’m on hold the whole time. No music is much better than Muzak.
Thanks! I always find it frustrating when TH-camrs show their actual phone and touch it with their hands (which are always in the way), so we created the finger to show the right section of the phone without getting in the way. We use that finger in most of our videos these days! Thanks for watching!
I totally agree. Earlier I watched a similar video and had a hard time understanding because I couldn't always see what was happening. The pointer is VERY helpful. I subscribed and will continue to seek your videos for further learning.
Yeah, man, I dig it! I onetime made a poem. It was called an Ode to a Cow Dying. (clears through) I wouldn’t say I like the sound of a cow dying; moo moo, let me put it out of its crying. It's not much fun watching a cow dying. And one last thing, get a haircut.

I'm always excited about the new OS releases for precisely that reason. What 3rd party apps are you still subscribing to? Apple will be revealing iOS 18 to developers on Monday, so i can't wait to hear what new features they'll be adding.

Or just get capacities, you wont look back once switching. Apple notes is not secure and apple can see what you wrote down which could lead to insecure data breaches.
I'll stick with Apple. The integration with Siri and the easy synchronization and connection to everything in Apple's ecosystem will always win the day for me. I like to keep it simple.
Hashtags are great, but it is an entirely different tool. Hashtags are to make searching easier by giving you simple tags to find notes scattered across your notes library.
