I put myself in a self-inflicted rut this week when I quit drinking tea. By the third day, I felt so uncomfortable and tired (non-functioning level), even though I was sleeping the same as usual. I was in withdrawal, y'all. Of course, I caved very late in the day and did a bunch of chores after midnight. I only use 1 bag of tea per day, I'm addicted to it, and I've made my peace with that.
Welcome back!! I'm also juust on my way out of a rut, it's almost ridiculous how much of a difference it makes to fix the essentials. I've only been focusing on getting my sleep, social media use, and exercise routine back under control, and already my motivation for my projects is kind of naturally returning :')
As we all do, and as usual - it is hard to imagine us - overly positive people - to be sad sometimes. Well, feeling sadness is one of the reasons why we often are positive. :)
My day job has been pretty stressful the past few weeks. I took a long weekend off to spend time with family and went off grid. I haven’t checked my phone at all. It was so refreshing!!! I go back to work this morning and am kinda dreading checking my phone for all the missed messages. Wish me luck! 😅 As far as my one thing each day, my ultimate goal is to one day live off my art as an illustrator, so I draw every day as my thing.
Thank you for sharing this with me! Yes, I have been feeling sooo much better without having to use my phone except for calls and such. It really is soooo refreshing! And I've honestly gotten so much more done this past week compared to previous weeks. I wish you all the great things, I know you can reach your goals! I think as long as our WHY is big enough, we'll get to where we want to be!
Thanks for the motivation Tasha, I've definitely been in a rut for all sorts of mostly health related reasons, but I've got some kind of plan that I'm working towards which is a start 😊💪
@@bex438 awwww sorry to hear that but glad you have got a plan, we just need to take little steps. Sending well wishes your way speedily!! You got this!!
I love the rollerblades!🙂 I gave that up 5 years ago for health reasons. It's crazy how addictive these phones are!!! We all fight it. I needed this message today. I AM going to film a video tomorrow. Thanks for the pep talk! Well done, Tasha! ❤❤❤
I can honestly say that quitting my phone and also getting up earlier has given me like 4 extra hours each day and I’m getting so much more done lollll. Thanks for watching Barb!
Using Apple Health has helped a lot with my sleep. I thought I was getting lots of sleep. But I showed no deep sleep or REM sleep. Also I'm trying Levels. This is a system to track your metabolism. I don't know how useful this is yet, but I am learning how food impacts my metabolism. As far, as being in a rut, I retired in June and I still don't have a routine. I've got to sort that out.
Thanks for sharing! Oh no, I’m glad you discovered that you weren’t getting the sleep you thought you were, half the battle is knowing, then once you know you can do something about it! That reminds me, I just got something to help me track my metabolism as well, Lumen, but I haven’t had a chance to try it yet! Congrats on retiring, but yah that sounds like a big life change, so I hope you find your groove soon!
I would rather get some advice about how to organise my classes at Uni right now hahae. So, although I am not feeling stuck, thanks for video, as always!
@@natashatheresa Feeling motivated. I'm a software engineer, and coding is my special interest, but frequently days go by and I've not done anything, and then somehow I find my mojo and I smash out several days of work in a 12 hour session. Thankfully my boss is very understanding.
@@sto3359 wow thanks for sharing! I feel like sometimes it's a matter of finding our own rhythm and working within those ... creative periods.. but with typical jobs you are supposed to work x hours each day so it's a little harder. in a sense you are able to batch your work on those days you have your mojo hahahahaha. i say, ask to change your schedule to fit your mojo cycle LOL jk!

If tea is the worst of your addictions I think you are doing great hahahaha! My question is what kinda tea you like to drink?

I have a really hard time imagining you in a bad mood
