    I lose weight with lots of eggs, fatty wild caught fish, avocado, meat and fermented veggies. Don’t need MCT oil unless you over eat. The reason MCT works is that it keeps you full and you don’t eat extra food.
    No food burns fat, you only burn fat while you’re fasting.

    This is all fine and dandy as long as you are honest about the SIZE of everything going into your mouth. Most people are not and say oh that’s just a 1/4 cup when it’s probably 3/4 or a cup! I live with one of those and gets zero exercise and wonders why he can’t lose weight??? Gotta love ‘em but please, we must be honest and I’ve been there done that too. Lost 80 pounds 16 years ago and have kept it off because I still count calories and exercise just about every day. My obsession with food will never be over and I know that. Food addiction is real as any other. If you own it and believe it, you might have a chance to recover.

    Hey Doc .. this is so great, bought many things to support a pain free keto/fasting regimen. I've had Liver Disease and it took lots of diligent effort to fix it. So now, adding more fat (only the best organic) to the diet, the 'ox bile' works well. Low quality fats, I get 'Pruritis' pretty quickly, lasting for 2 weeks or so. Not no more, it's wonderful and I be exercising hard, all the while i'm tuned into your podcasts, from my 'spin bike' Thanks for all your hard work, you are very popular, I must say.

    I usually get a half an avocado at breakfast with some goat cheese, sauerkraut, eggs and pecans/walnuts topped with olive oil for breakfast. I cannot do MCT oil though it has me on the hopper in agonizing pain.

    I’m trying to gain weight !! I eat lots of prebiotic foods lots of the right veggies fruits coconut MCT oil too nuts wild caught red salmon elk eggs and l liver love avocados artichokes asparagus eat them every day. Use tons on olive oil yours is great! . Eat pasture raised foods and organic

    I lost 60 pds and kept it off for almost 4 years now- I'm' maintaining at this point- I'm working building strength and definition- I actually have muscles now😁 my triceps is hardest to look like my biceps- I really enjoy your videos Dr. Gundry

      ​@@tanyawieczorek6603Just cut out all sugar and replace it with raw & unfiltered honey. Cut out juice and just drink water. Try fasting to let your body digest the food from yesterday and the day before. It takes hours and sometimes days to digest a single meal so you have to give your body some time to digest it and eliminate the excess weight. Fasting can be challenging the first time because of stomach growling but you'll be losing weight and burning fat because of it. Saying no when your stomach growling will also increase your willpower, and your body will thank you

    I understand the problem of being constantly over weight but one does not want to loose weight at the expense of losing muscle. As we get older strong muscles we need to keep our joints in place. Therefore eating protein is important.

      You don't lose muscle on the Doctor's diet, you lose muscle from not working out and not exercising.

      @@Music-gw4qf you are half right. You can lose muscle if you don't load that muscle but because doctors diet is not high in protein muscle can get smaller even with exercise 😅

    Dear Dr Gundry, since you refer to smoothies I need some advice regarding them. I was told that smoothies isn't healthy at all, since you don't chew that food but just swallow it.     If greens and avocadoes were enough to loose weight, I would be skin and bones, instead of overweight... There's lots more to this because I don't loose more than a few ounces per month with the most efforts of diet and activity; and sometimes not loose any at all . I NEVER had a 'bad' diet , growing up with mixed Mediterranean style foods with fastings weekly since early age.

      You are correct. These things will help, but there are many conditions that can make it a struggle to lose weight. For people struggling, I recommend finding an appropriate medical professional to assist you

      Try the 16:8 eating window, skip breakfast and eat your first meal around midday and your last meal around 7 - 8 o'clock without snacks in between. It's a bit difficult to start with but very beneficial for health and weight loss. If you struggle at the start just slowly push your first meal of the day back bit by bit and avoid sugary things including fruit. I found if I had anything sweet at night the next morning I would get really hungry!

      I only eat one meal a day now. I have lost 20 lbs in two months with no effort. Stay away from sugar and breads or grains you will never lose weight at all. If you get hungry later on really bad eat a apple to fill your stomach.

      Try no snacking at all before and after meal. That includes all caloric drinks.

      If you are overweight it doesnt happen magically to get leaner, you need to fast for a couple of days at a time, you will survive and you will loose weight.
      Try a 48hours fast, then eat the right things, then keep on doing intermittent fasting with one meal a day (still eating the right things found on a keto diet) and in one month you will not loose ounces but pounds. Keep doing intermittent fasting and you will eventually look like what your body is supposed to look like.
      But if you keep eating throughout the day it just wont happen, if you keep drinking sodas and things which are filled with sugar it wont happen either.
      Ive been doing intermittent fasting all my life eating twice or once a day, and my body has been doing the yoyo all throughout always staying fit.
      You can even eat fast food (2 burgers with fries, 6 nuggets, medium coke and a dessert) once a day, one meal a day and you can be fit, im a testimony for it, unfortunately the carbohydrates found in fast food and the sodas destroyed my gut, i have leaky gut which transformed into psoriasis so i definitely dont advise you to do intermittent fasting on fast food unless you want to become sick, but if anything you will definitely get leaner on one meal a day.
      You folks comment on how everything is a lie but you are the liar yourself, people dont become overweight or obese by genetics or breathing the air, you eating throughout the day, and massive amounts of food for it, sugary stuff, sodas and alike. The body was designed to take in what it needs, not to stuff it all day long.
      Overweight people are gluttonous thats the truth.

      I'm a dietitian and I do have some patients that can actually tolerate more fat than the recommendations suggest. You'll tolerate avocado to some degree, although maybe not a whole one in a single sitting. If you can find the larger, Florida avocados, those are lower in fat.

      If you have access to freezer space, try freezing it and putting it smoothies during the off season. It's freezes relatively well.

    Dr Gundry, I am feeling very nauseous. I have started your plan but I'm just wondering what could cause nausea? I have started chlorella, mct oil, d ribose, coffee, apple cider vinegar and dark chocolate on the plan. I'm wondering if it's the apple cider vinegar? Or am I just detoxing perhaps? I was told I had candida so could it be the caprylic acid in the mct oil causing die off? I know you cannot diagnose me but it's just to know what might cause nausea that I maybe should cut out of the above. Many thanks.

      Chlorella is detoxing, it will make u nauseous. Start with small amount.

    Why can’t people be totally honest instead of promoting there product to enrich themselves. Read a bunch of citations reviewing doc G work and it sounds like streching the truth of the science for sales Is a regular habit of the Gundry M.O. I’m trying desperately to decide but the process is overwhelming. Doc Gundry, if you are reporting due to
    your best info and research good on you, if your reporting with stretching of truth for max of profit then shame on you. Examine your motivation. I want to trust you!!!!!!!!

    I’ve been on keto for almost 2 years only to hear from my bloods my cholesterol is too high,my liver is fatty,, y vitamin D is too high??I feel good but he is insisting to take statins ,,said keto is a fad diet and putting me on high risk for heart attack and stroke.

Recap ,fibers,poly phenols , resistant starches, feed the gut , protect liver from sugars & fructose ( Dr Robert Lustig book metabolical),focus on foods which help to lose weight , metabolic health & how microbiome extract energy from foods.people are clever , enough repeating same informations is counter productive quality and not quantity is essential. We need more advanced research about optimal health & and ideal body weight is result of good health and not losing weight gets healthy . Any healthy person will have healthy body.

      Just eat one good meal a day! Your body will do the rest. Stay away from sugar and bread and grains. Thats what they feed animals to put weight on them for the market. Eat good vegs and small skinless grill cooked chicken or steaks. eat a apple later on at night if you get reall hungry. Your body will adjust latter on to the food time change.
