Gundry , I'm 21 and I do not have your hair genetics. My dad is bald , but both my grandpa's have full head of hair. But I think I inherited my dad's genetics. Do you think your diet would help me and what foods do you recommend me eating the most??

Steven Gundry MD keep your sunny side up and a smile on your face. Seriously, a good sense of humor & a
Positive attitude has kept me young at heart. Used your supplement formula for hardened arteries. My cardiologist was shocked. The arteries were fine. Didn't need stents. Thank you Dr. Gundry for looking out for me. Continuing the plant paradox cookbook recipes.

First ur body gotta digest /absorb all this stuff properly..U just take care of that via yog aasan & ayurveda to improve absorbability & rest will be taken care of automatically..
      Yog aasan- if u r healthy- mayurasan , paschiotansan , halasan , sheershasan ,
Hold 4 maximum time as u can
Ayurveda-put haritaki powder in ur food 2 gm whenever u eat..

Very interesting here. I radically changed my diet a few years ago because of a stress related illness. I starting eating, fish, raw nuts (cashews & walnuts) eggs made into an omelette for breakfast, with spinach, mushrooms & cherry tomatoes. Also a lot more vegetables, especially green & fruit, around 10 portions a day. I noticed the changes in my skin almost straight away, glowing, radiant and more youthful. And it took around 6 months for new hair to grow out, but it was thicker, shinier, healthier, like never before. I'm 53, and right through my adult life my hair had been thin, broken and dry. So I can't say enough good things about s healthy diet, it's true, you are what you eat. Healthy food is medicine for the body 😄

I used to take vit c religiously aside from fresh fruit juices but it didn’t stop wrinkles to show up. But when I ditched those and ate more fatty meats, fish and seafoods. Eggs and cheeses not only did my wrinkles gone my skin looks more plumped even though I stay more time under the sun without any sunblock.

@@becuteforme You're Mal absorbed if you're having trouble processing Fruit which IS the MAIN THING Our body requires. We are Frugivores and require the living, Electrically Active fruits, berries and Melons plus SOME greens but if you're mal absorbed like me, the raw food being ALIVE is more ACTION!! on your body and begins a detoxing of your body's toxins. Granted it may be unpleasant as I know well but just because cooked food SEEMS to be ok with you (in your stomach), I promise, if you're eating Dairy, Meats, Grains or processed sugars and harsh fats, YOU WILL FEEL IT soon enough and your body IS RESPONDING, you're just not paying attention to every response to every food, including inflammation (sore or weaker joints and muscles are obvious when paying attention closely, even in teens), emotional responses or anger/moody, etc.. EVERY food has a "personality" when living and raw but once cooked, you break original, natural molecular bonds and turn the "new version" in to a lab experiment which produces acidic waste for your body to deal with. Wrinkles will be the LEAST of your worries when acids are through with you. I hope you'll look in to this. Immediate responses on the surface are quite deceptive. PLEASE, look in to it. I truly feel you're mal absorbed by your statement. Check out Dr Robert Morse N.D. here on YT who covers all these issues in Q&A sessions. Type in "Dr Morse on Mal absorption" and see if the description might be anything you experience in general. GOOD LUCK and Blessings to You Summer Rose. Skincare and sunscreen is very important. Most people don’t understand that anti-aging skincare should be used no matter when you are young to *maintain* what you have. You’re not suppoed to wait until you are older and start to show signs of aging. I think most women have a natural advantage.

I have been eating the Gundry way for six months beginning April 4. Tomorrow is my six month anniversary…..and have lost 90 pounds in that time. My A1C average has dropped to 5.6 blood pressure is in the 105 over 75 range and I drink 1 liter of Moroccan desert miracle EVOO every two weeks or less. I also eat energy bits Chlorella and Spirilina daily. I rarely eat cheese and it only sheep or goat and have discovered coconut cream, milk and water. I use Lectin Shield, biocomplete 3, prebioThrive vital reds and Heart Healthy powder daily. My body finally has a digestion tract full of gut buddies that communicate to my mitochondria. I have learned what high triglycerides tell me ( leaky gut which I believe after 6 months is cured or nearly cured. I leaned about the truth of cholesterol. I have never had such moods of happiness and enjoyed good sleep like I do currently.. My skin is soft . I no longer am tired all the time. My goal is to lose 80 more pounds or so. By next July. Thank you Dr. Gundry. I have your plantparadox and longevity books full of notes and highlights. Tell me this- is it dairy food that promotes lactate in children, breasts on young boys, that also changes our moods because it stops the production of serotonin and dopamine?

The skin is one of the best indicators of what's going inside the body. The skin will always reflect major issues like dysbiosis, excretory, haemotological and hormonal issues, which makes it the perfect indicator to see how our body reacts to our dietary modifications, environmental toxins and stress. Great tips, Dr Gundry! Another important mineral for a beautiful skin is Zn, that's what I can add.
Regarding aging, the diet could play an additional role. Some studies show that some, even though small, percentage of ingested DNA and RNA survive the GIT. For instance microRNA from plants can influence the epigenetic environment. Additionally, it's shown that mitochondrial DNA under some circumstances can be transferred from cell to cell and restore mitochondrial function in the lacking cells. Then, here's what I wonder about - can some of the surviving DNA be mDNA and aid our mitochondria? It sounds farfethed, but exciting. Additionally, if DNA survives, then it can be incorporated by the microbiome, too.. These possibilities also open a door to mDNA transfer from young individuals to older ones, which is absolutely doable but we need research here.

What to do if you’re freakishly pale and get burnt within 10 mins or less of being in the sun? Being pale, I probably get my vitamin D needs met extremely fast (only being in the sun for a short period of time). I’m not at all disputing that some sunscreens are harmful, as that does seem to be the case. But sometimes it seems like a necessary evil if people like me want to spend more then a few mins outside, lol.
I suppose an answer is maybe to be mindful of the type of sunscreen; finding a less harmful one. Sure you can help it with diet, but being so pale you also may need sunscreen at times.

I've been following your work intensely since the Plant Paradox - then the Longevity Paradox - Life-changing!! Very grateful! Just one BIG QUESTION - Why are you not sharing anything about Vitamin K2 MK-7 form?? You advise to use high-dose Vitamin D3, but that can actually be dangerous without Vitamin K2 MK-7... Please Doc, do a podcast on this very important topic - that's one we would expect from a Cardiovascular Expert - especially one who has done the Paradigm Shifts. Unless you've done it already, then please send me the link - but there is nothing in your books - except for a small mention of K2 among the supplements you take personally. Natto is not an option for most of us in the West . . . and with the taste and consistency, the uptake will be minimal. I know Dr. Mercola (where I saw you for the first time) even has a combo of 5000iu Vit D3 and 180mcg Vit K2 (MK-7) - and mentions the importance in detail in his book "Effortless Healing". We would love to know your take on Vitamin K2 MK-7, please!

My husband, daughter and I take a good probiotic, one that has to be refrigerated. My husband has diverticulitis. No problem!, as long as he takes the probiotic. I was five days away from 42 when I had my daughter. I took the probiotic the whole time I was pregnant. Everything went great. My daughter, who just turned 18, has never had an ear infection. She still lives at home, and she is in great health. Any cold she gets doesn’t last long. We (my husband and I) have been taking the probiotic for about 20 years. When my daughter was young, before she could swallow pills, I would put hers in a little bit of water to soften it so she could take it and then she would drink the water. A good probiotic is paramount for good gut health. I am 60, take no medicines and am in great health. My husband takes one med for a condition that is clearing up. My family will continue to take our probiotic.

Another very important question we would love to get your recommendations please: How to optimize 'healthy hormone levels' as you age. Guys like Jay Campbell and Jim Brown with their "Testosterone Optimization Therapy Bible" have their opinions - some based on solid science - other more anecdotal. They cover the natural and pharmaceutical options - and you happen to be an expert in both 'realms' by now. Can you please give some pointers for both men and women - especially for the over-50s. You mention ways to avoid estrogen-like components, and then a couple of things like mushrooms that can be helpful, but there must be more. Maybe some herbs and foods you can recommend? Can you please do a podcast to shed some light on this? Thanks!

I’ve been told I still look like I did when I was 17-18 years old. I’m 29 going on 30. My tricks are to moisturize, wear a facial sunscreen with mineral coverage, drink water, avoid fast food (makes you feel sick), and cook at home with whole foods. Lots of dairy- 1% milk in my coffee, mozzarella cheese strings snack (the good ones Amooza), and Parmesan are all usually in my fridge.
Eat your veggies and avoid burgers/ I hate burgers. When I eat a burger I usually get a jr chicken or an A&W VEGGIE burger (not the beyond meat one).
    Avoid pastas and heavy sauces.
I take my vitamins and a high quality fish oil. Skin hair and nails supplement too.
I need to get a vitamin c supplement to add.
I’ve also recently used the red Pure Clay Mask from L’Oréal with red algae and it works wonders to clear skin and exfoliate after use, highly recommend!!
My best tip I would say is to try and incorporate the healthy things in your life on an ongoing basis. Always wash your face twice a day, and moisturize as you get older...
I’ve been told over and over I have perfect skin, and women older than me have told me to start wearing sunscreen so I’ll keep that skin, and I heeded that advice just this year.
Also another thing I wish I had done was protect my eyes better. I’ve had some eye damage to the whites of my eyes unfortunately from driving without sunglasses or being in the sun a lot without sunglasses. Now I wear them often. Eye damage is not reversible, apparently, which I am sad about as I have some visible damage toward the inner eye. My mom has the same but she didn’t know what it was from as her eyes never get checked cause she has perfect vision.

DMSO 99,% topically applied, with mgnesium oil can recerse the dama to the eyes. when you are not consuming too many PUFA inflammatory oils, you don't get damaged by the sun. Suns energy actually helps the dna to upgrade and helps the body and mind to rejuvenate itself. most sunscreens are highly toxic, apart from the ones that are made to be non-toxic with zinc oxide as an active ingredient.

    • @jofriedman4528
      @jofriedman4528 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Autophagy is a process that takes place in the body when we fast/abstain from food. The energy that would have been used to digest food now gets used to repair cells in other parts of the body. You'd have to look up how many hours into the fasting window that process starts, but I assume any extra fasting relieves at least some pressure on the digestive system and allows other body repair processes to take place.
SO glad to hear this affects loose skin too. Until autophagy, I didn't think it was 'curable'/reversible. That's great news. :)

Most of cosmetic Collagen is a combination of water, faex extract, phenoxyethanol. It's called pseudo-collagen and is derived from sugars and proteins (glycoproteins), and acts like collagen. Pseudo Collagen actually retains moisture and assists fibroblasts to strengthen collagen fibres. So in summary, go ahead and take the creams with it in and also take the l-lycene among acid (has a weight loss benefit also).

Why collagen and bone broth is recommended is they are loaded with the amino acids we need to make our OWN collagen. Vitamin C is aimless without bioflavonoids. A supplement with quercetin, for example, is recommended. One with every meal.

Always looking for free foods! Green leafy’s are still the ones. Keto breads are great, but still not free feeding, even though they are full of psyllium husks, because of the nuts. Are there better ones? Coconut is good, sorghum, not so much, checking in the book to see if poppy seeds and hemp hearts added help in absorption and feeding the gut bugs we want to feed. I tried adding Pre-biothrive to one bread, but it still needs work, is it still effective if heated? Heading out for some Vitamin C, and Silica. Love what you do!
