My mom immigrated to Escondido California in October 1960 from the Netherlands, but moved back a year or so later because her dad ( my grandpa) got homesick! Although it was very short my mom does remember some of it! Would love to visit sometime

I am a Professional Civil Engineer that worked for the City of Escondido several years ago. I now live in a 2700 SF one story all brick home on a 1/2 Acre lot next to SeaWorld in San Antonio TX. A very nice area. My house value is assessed at $366250. . Just paid my 2023 Property Tax bill of $2,007. Summer's here are hot but the best thing about Texas is the air conditioning. The rest of the year the weather is like Escondido CA. Other than Mexican food being better in California I don't see much differences.
