Excellent video. Really informative.

San Diego has become unbearable. It’s easy to show sweeping drone views of the beach and city but you don’t know how much it sucks til you’re actually living here. Leaving soon, don’t come here unless you want to live in a backyard ADU for the price of a 2br apartment. My rent proposal was +30% this year, I’ve seen other predatory raises like this for alienable properties. It’s beautiful but not worth the price, traffic, homeless, politics, gun laws, tourists, etc.

You are right South of the Freeway Eight is awful specially Eastlake Chula Vista, lots of crime, old city, poor infrastructure, homeless camps, section eight, definitely stay away.

Over regulated ,over priced, over rated, Mostly relying on outdated infrastructure and highways.over developed. Its like catching fish in a barrel for the city and counties.Dangerous driving conditions on poorly designed roads. Millions of selfish wealthy people.Millions of foreign poor people.

(Seaport Village) No, they're going to ruin one of the few places in San Diego that people love; they're happy there. It's by the water, but we don't need a beach there. We don't need more hotels, concerts or offices there. Build a tower, put in something fun and scenic, take out the parking - though I love to be able to park there, but leave it as it is. Put all that stuff somewhere else on the bay, but don't take out Seaport Village. We're going to lose a unique, special place.

I've experienced La Jolla as a micro environment where anti black sentiment is freely expressed. (3 occasions , and I struggle to remember ANY occasions in my 30 years in Los Angeles. Wouldn't mind buying a home in Del Mar though. 😊

I like to live in Eastlake, church, gym, work and shopping entertainment all within 6 miles. Love the small footprint of smog impact these communities were developed for.

I’m watching this with interest because I once spent a Christmas vacation there with my fiancé and his family. They lived in the east of Vista in the foothills. This was in 1956-57. It was a beautiful place. Before the explosion of the population and houses in that area. I don’t know what the local address was because they had a post office box. But I’ve often wondered what became of that little home. It was a three bedroom split level and they had a sunken patio. Boy am I old! Anyway, thank you for this video. I enjoyed it very much.

Which area would you say is best for someone who got around 50k and just wants to start a new life somewhere around San Diego? I’d wanna spend around 1500 for a studio or 1 bedroom without living in the ghetto

I didn't care about it nor even heard about it until one day I visited Solana Beach and I was like, hmmm it would be awesome to live here!

Sounds like Riverwalk will be a prototype trial for the "15-minute city".

The most overrated area in San Diego is Solana Beach (at Cedros).

I’ve been a San Diego local my entire life, born and raised. I moved to LA for a few years for school and came right back home. I HATE everything coming to San Diego because it’s starting to become just like LA and too many touristy attractions going on making this small city too big to handle.

You didn’t mention taxes ? Sales and property taxes..

Its still a small airport no matter what they add on ,why is even called an international airport? When you can't fly to Europe from here, gotta go all the way to LA deal that traffic mess it sucks , I heard it is the busiest one lane or runway in the USA.😂

I live in a slum called Eastlake Chula Vista please dont come here lots of homeless. Eastlake is filthy dirty, dead rats everywhere. Stay away from our community for your own safety.

When I left San Diego in 1997 you could still buy a home for 180k, the weather is great, other than that have zero interest in living there again, now in WV on 35 acres, plenty of fishing and hunting, no tax or permits to purchase firearms. If I want to live by the coast again, I will go to the Gulf Coast.
