Hi Jay, great video mate really enjoyed it, some great roads that I ride myself sometimes, living in Mansfield I'm reasonably close to Derbyshire so I often go out that way, I generally ride alone so I can just please myself, anyway jay I enjoyed the video and it brought me to the conclusion that I personally think sometimes we depend and become so reliant on technology and devices which can be very frustrating and detract from being out on your bike enjoying the ride when they go wrong but are fantastic when they work ok , I personally try and keep things simple and general navigate using my phone and 2 or 3 navigation apps, anyway jay really enjoyed the video and looking forward to seeing more content from your channel.
I think these days we put to much trust in tech and apps and when It goes wrong it becomes a bigger irritant than say just taking a wrong turn after reading a map ... either way we sould be happy to find a new road, see a new view and find a different route and above all enjoy riding .... take care Jay nice vid
Mate they are good I was getting disconnection issues though. I’ve just ordered the chigee for the bmw supposed to be a lot better but bit pricier 👍🏻👍🏻
4:28 Left there then 2nd left will take you to Bradwell to miss out the closed section which is also due to reopen in a week. Was on the Strines road thursday night, no sign of any roadworks now.
About the heat. Even Ireland was hot last Sunday. I had the vents on my jacket opened... on the motorway. Shocking' Those 4 hours of our Irish Summer will be remembered.
Hi Jay great vid again. I have a calimoto subscription and I think if you go off the planned route it just tries to put you back on the route that you have planned in the app (it thinks "hang on you didn't want to go this way") Calimoto isn't really about the destination but more about the route. I did have an issue a couple of months ago when we went to Ponderosa so i emailed Calimoto on Sunday evening and they had sorted it by Monday dinner so they are pretty good with that. Still can't fault Google maps though for basic navigation 😊
Nice one buddy cheers I think it’s me not understanding how it works. It all makes sense it’s more about the route. Thanks for that will give it another go 👍🏻👍🏻
Cracking vid Jay Calimoto is great but by default will try and take you off the main drag. When you're planning a route set each segment to Fastest instead of the default Twisty. It'll stop trying to drag you down lanes full of cow sh*t 😅 💩 @revzolution had an issue with Carpuride too. Turned out it was to do with the OS version of the phone. Make sure you've got all your phone updates on and also check you don't have a VPN running. Hope you get it sorted
Thanks buddy much appreciated hope your well? I will try that with the calimoto as for the Carpuride I’m on the latest iPhone and OS however interesting point regarding VPN I do have one running as part of my EE cyber attack package so will try turn that off. Thanks again 👍🏻👍🏻
@CRAZYLEGSONABIKE yep. VPN caused me issues in my car. Look for a setting called 'split tunneling' and it should let you select apps to bypass the vpn. May be a deeper setting to allow carplay to bypass it as it's a system app. All good here ta. Hope likewise. See you soon.
I’m using carpuride and calimoto. Seems fine for me not cutting out. I use calimoto for routes only and Google maps for a to b stuff or traffic conditions. Is your phone battery low as it might be cutting it to save battery power.
Hi Graham I’m not sure about battery being low pal it may just need resetting I was hoping an A to B with calimoto would of took me on some great different roads 👍🏻👍🏻
@tojj29 I seem to remember having the same problem, Jay is right. It re routes back to the original waypoint. It's a bloody brilliant app when you get to grips with it. It is frustrating as he'll when tech lets you down. This cartridge looks promising though.
Is it your Carpuride that's the problem. I have herd a few issues with the unit. My mate has the Chigee unit, and the calimoto works fine on that. How frustrating. Me, I'll stick with my trust Zumo XT 😊
I’m not sure buddy tbh I have the zumo xt and it’s faultless I asked myself why I even bought anything else 😞 cheers for view and comment much appreciated 👍🏻👍🏻
Hi I always ride Derbyshire but don't like the bike tech much. Tried calimoto poor. Someone put me onto Herewego. Just on an old iPhone on handlebars. Download GB map to phone. Then turn data off and Wi-Fi I even took sim out. For my new phone. Been using it for about 4 years. About 35k miles works perfectly. Free.
🤘👍👍🤘
Glad your mum is getting better mate great video 👍👍
Thanks buddy much appreciated 👍🏻👍🏻

Thanks Howie you’re right we do take tech for granted I think it’s the thing that if we have it we expect it to work flawlessly. 👍🏻👍🏻
Nice one Jay, I have just bought the Carpuride w502 for the Triumph. I hope you get it sorted.
It may need a firmware update pal not sure what issue with it is 👍🏻👍🏻
@@CRAZYLEGSONABIKE I am on the forums, I will keep my eyes peeled.
Cheers buddy 👍🏻👍🏻
Thinking of a Carpuride for one of my bikes they seem to be very popular at the moment. Some greast views through them valleys. Cheers

Lovely roads around there. Great video.
Thanks buddy I am lucky to have it on my doorstep 👍🏻👍🏻

I'm pretty sure if you miss a waypoint, you have to go in to menu and skip waypoint. It's just learning how to drive a new system.
Does it not automatically skip a missed waypoint? Myrouteapp does. Fuckin technology pisses me off
