Out of interest, why does e-ink always have such a jittery flickering refresh? Could they not write a better refresh algorithm that isn't so harsh on the eyes? One main reason to go to e-ink is to get away from flickering effects such as PWM, temporal dithering, etc. used on smartphones. So at least for me and some others having the phone strobe each time there is a screen change is a big negative.

It is so slow bc otherwise the screen will be full of stains

It's called E-ink. It uses physical particles, so technically it's made of ink. When you turn it off, it keeps the last picture it had on it.
I Wonder why people would buy this.
Some one like me who needs a dumb phone to do a bit more at times.
