The man has so much material to choose from that I rarely listen to anything else. Dig deep into this guy's material. He writes some of the most beautiful songs
He shows up, The hall has a room for him to be private. Staff at the venue is not allowed to talk to him or look him in the eye. His roadie/handler does all the speaking for him. He brings all his equipment and connects to the PA at the hall. He was onstage solo for over two hours and he had a 15 minute break in the middle. They load up get in the van and head out. Strange was there was no real merchandise on sale, t-shirts etc.. Just Buckethead performing. Can't imagin how he did the show in Texas enclosed in that outfit and the head gear without having heat stroke. WoW .. great show just the same.
Yeah, it's easy to see how someone could be confused the first time they see this AND the first time hearing the pitch bending pedal used on this at the same time.
Entirely wrong. The red button is there for a much different reason. The button flips a toggle switch inside the soul Buckethead. In turn, he becomes a portal to hell and all the demons come flying out.
One of the times I saw him at a nightclub and I was in the front row near the house speakers and hit the Whammy on a high note and I swear I went blind for a second it was so high pitch and loud. He knew it too. He never did it again.
Buckethead was also guitarist for Guns and Roses for a couple years. He was almost Ozzy's Guitarist.....but he refused to take his mask off so he didnt get the job. buckethead is an enigma.
Thank you! I knew you would enjoy this. I first heard BH when my son had Guitar Hero and Jordan was the most difficult level. The red switches are killswitches as others have mention. Simply muting the sound when pressed. The beginning "harmonics" are actually pitch changes using a "whammy pedal". Soothsayer is his signature piece with several excellent live versions and the studio version is FIRE. He also has a fun live homage to Star Wars

I personally love Padmasana and Whitewash, and also Sketches of Spain
This guy is like your favourite guitarist's favourite guitarist.
Love the Doom reference
For shredders that's usually Shawn Lane

This big boy is one of the greatest guitarists of the planet. Incredible and amazing, I always drop my chin when I hear his music.
Watching him play it reminds me of my Elder who said "When you confront a Universal truth, the only honest response is Universal laughter!"

This guy wrote more than 300 albums on his own! 300!!!
He has 665 Pikes albums.
More like 900.
"Now I understand" .... precisely!
The red button is a kill switch that cuts the pickup signal when pressed

The pedal that he uses for those effects to make it go from standard tune to super high screeches is a Digitech Whammy 5.

The guitar master 🤘❤️🔥
HE IS SO GOOD

I bet Buckethead would be amazing at video games. Look at that button mashing!
Thank you for reaction🙂
Button is called a killswitch, it mutes all the strings
You should listen to Colma.. You will love it.
You should check out soothsayer live
He has ENDLESS scales.
What you mean by endless scales?
Awesome!
as a follow-up, give a listen to "dawn appears".
Notoriously good guitarist and notoriously tricky to work with. Heh :)
ITS A KILL SWITCH
1:47 « He's just pressing a button » ... you just wait 😉 LOL
Your reaction is priceless. Heart felt. He's quite the guitar god.😅
Soothsayer, Big Sur Moon, and Welcome to Bucketheadland are better choices for reactions
What??? WHAT????? 😂😂😂😂
He's got hands like Hendrix, Fret board looks so small with them.
Please other (non video game songs of buckethead) songs like
Soothsayer
nothinglace
Waiting hare (feat) Serj Taiikan
Thank you for the suggestions!
my guitar teacher should every student buckethead to give them something they could just focus on guitar

It's like a modern hard rocker Glen Campbell
Buckethead never played for limp bizkit, are you confusing him with someone else, Buckethead played for guns n roses from 1999 to 2004

Pitch shifter
Buckethead never played with limpbizket. Thats wes borland
why is soothsayer the only reaction
see man
hes 6ft 10
With the bucket. 6'5" on his own.
Check out The Warning The Warning - EVOLVE (Live on The 2023 MTV Video Music Awards), pretty much blowing the doors off in a live performance.
So you don't know what a kill switch is?
Buttonhead.
Wish you would've listened to a different song.
I always disliked the key he chose for live performances of this song
Not a close second to BuckETheaD
You should check out soothsayer live
