@harrisonwalker105 project little man, how the hell did I forget that lol, you're right, so many good stuff, this guy is so underrated, nobody else can come up with so many epic solo tracks that rip the shit like that, not just a shredder, a melodic shredder, to me buckethead is definitely the best by far, best player/composer
@@CptSlow89 live 100 percent wins once you think about how well its showing off his skill, and hearing slightly different versions of soothsayer is always cool
My friend is professor of music at USC and she is good friends with Robin Finck who was lead guitarist for Guns N Roses for almost a decade. He played a lot with Buckethead you can find them on TH-cam playing together for Guns N Roses. I think Buckethead is one of the greatest guitarist in the world who also composes over 300 albums.
He is using a wah wah pedal which is a pedal controlled band pass filter. It can give a slight "talkative" quality to the sound while sweeping through the frequencies, "closing" and "opening" the sound.
For the odd sounding liquid pitch swings you were asking about, I believe he's using a digitech whammy pedal. If not that some similar pitch shifting device controlled by a foot pedal.
The band IMMINENCE with one of these songs or all the songs. These are new songs that don’t have a music video to them. These are visualizers for the new album “The Black.” All of these songs are amazing…. 1. “Beyond the Pale” 2. “The Call of the Void” 3. “Come What May” 4. “The Black” From Sweden and singer plays violin while singing and screaming. These are four songs that are on the storyline and our visualizers by themselves. They are amazing songs so if you feel free pick one or if you want more pick all of them.
I’ve seen him 3 times all were at small clubs 350 or so max.. those buckethead shows were worth 3x the ticket price. There’s nobody quite like him and there will never be again
Yeah, bucketheads a little bit of a freak in my book. Insanely skilled and he has over 400 albums of music. I'm subscribed to him and sometimes it's an album 30 minutes long every 3 days. And it's amazing music. I've never really been fond of soothsayer, but Groves is a really cool tune as far as music texture goes. No solos but it's still amazing nonetheless. th-cam.com/video/Yx-4hej07RE/w-d-xo.html
I really appreciate your reaction. You clearly know your stuff, but also have your own taste. Many of the commenters here are correct about seeing him play Soothsayer live. The link below if for the live version that they are talking about. It takes a different path than the studio version. Amazing to see the skills. Just fantastic. th-cam.com/video/dyQJH615KwA/w-d-xo.html
Buckethead's songs constantly change but he always goes back to the same motif, just like tool. The difference is buckethead is a lead lead guitarist but Adam Jones a rhythmic lead guitarist. Maybe you just don't like polyrhythms.
Dude, no one can hear you when you try talking through the track, it just an annoying mumble. As much as I hate what I'm suggesting, you should stop the track if you feel the need to comment, least you wouldn't be wrecking the music with your incessent mumbling.!!
Guy is great, but I have given up on the incognito various types of masked garbage, not just him but is is really a thing from some fantastic Asian musicians as well. I can't stomach it any more.
Well you cant compare buckethead to anyone else because hes been doing this since the 80s i believe so hes legit and unique not some poser. I know what you mean tho
He probably just wants to be heard! :D I get that sometimes we want to connect to the artist, but we can also do this with Buckethead through his live presentations - also, with the kindness we hear from those that know him personally. Sometimes, just the music and a few interviews are enough! (he probably doesn't want to be a superstar, just something for someone with his music) :D
BH suffers from an anxiety disorder and chose to wear a mask to overcome his fear of public performing…it’s not a gimmick he’s used it from his first live shows. There is an interview on YT with his long term psychologist were he is very open about his mental health history and his humility and vulnerability is quite moving.

I love watching people react to Buckethead 😊
Me too, but it is a little bit boring that the reactors react 99% to soothsayer
FINALLY NO LIVE VERSION!!!
Glad to hear that!
There really aren’t too many decent live versions
@@Huge4FishI think he’s talking about the emotional live version that everyone reacts too
Saw him perform in a small club about 100 people 15 years ago. Just his backing track and him. Was amazing.
I love 'Polar Trench', 'The Light In The Fog', and my favorite, 'For Mom'. Thanks, I enjoyed this studio recording reaction and song very much.
Check out "Leave The Light On", "Hold Me Forever", "Poseidon", "Blind Cyclops", "Cosmic Oven", "Other Portals", some very good stuff
Don't forget, The Moltrail Part 2, Celery, Crumple, Fourneau Cosmique, Siege Engine and 22222222.
Holly smokes, you guys know the gems ;)
liquid mantis, telescape 2 siege engine, project little man.. there’s too many

Awesome reaction
You have to see the live version..amazing experience!!
Watch live version! It's kinda crazy how much better it is!
There is some parts off beat from the live version but besides that its great
No, I love studio versions 99% of the time.

It's over 600 now.

React to hold me forever its a master peace
Some people hate dream theater type and more into simple like nirvana
react to HOLD ME FOREVER ...
Sometimes more is less but other people like tool or pretentious non stop change which I hate
