Marty is quite the Celebrity in Japan. He is On TV often and can be seen playing at Marathon's,Ball Games, Award Show's, etc.... A True Professor of his Instrument and its Performance.
This guy got a very good band behind him. Killer players. He needs more credit for the megadeth sound. That era with him and Menza was what everyone knows when you say megadeth. Awesome performance
That's great😊 it's not easy to recognize an excerpt of a song let.alone getting the correct name of an instrumental song... I remember Marty played 0-7-2 at some point while doing a live guitar solo back un the 90's during his Megadeth days you don't hear that song live often.
Until now, I only knew Marty from 'ROCK FUJIYAMA' but watching this live performance gave me a whole new appreciation for how the guitar can sing. 🎸 The sensation of the guitar telling a story is truly captivating. And let's not forget WAKAZAEMON on bass-rocking the stage with her vibrant pink hair, she adds a unique charm to the band, truly standing out and bringing a touch of glamour to the performance. Equally impressive and cool, her bass skills were a standout. Keep rocking, guys! 🤘
Marty, watchin you guys play dragons kiss actually brought tears to my eyes... Have been a fan of your music for years and play guitar myself but never on the level you play. .I have not played much guitar in the past 20 yrs but back in the day when that album first came out I remember trying to learn it by ear ..with those harmonies n stuff it blew my mind... dude you are the best come back to the states n play out in the western suburbs of chicago sometime !
Ha. I found myself smiling when the bass player sang "we will rock you", and the whole damn metal crowd was absolutely with her. 😁 And check out how much the crowd got the emotion in Marty's playing. Awesome.
I just love so much the artistic and original ways Mr. Friedman has to compose and play those oriental music style added to rock. Unique, emotional and strong, really strong and wonderful. Thank you so much Marty, for mixing so well these generes
I absolutely love his emotion filled (and heavier) renditions of various Japanese enka singers (like Ishikawa Sayuri and Misora Hibari) songs which I always heard growing up (since my parents listened to them). Also glad he has Morioka Naoki in his band (Morioka was one of the main guitarists for one of my favorite Japanese artists, ZARD (the singer Sakai Izumi passed away after a fall back in 2007); Friedman did a killer cover of one of the groups biggest songs, 負けないで (Makenaide) which is on his channel.
Actually his guitar has Schaller locking tuners. Also, it's not a basic plastic nut, it's a bone nut. It wouldn't matter though he can make everything sound good. Just wanted to share the right information about his guitar.
@@vanishevi4 Stainless frets make bending easier and you won't ever need to worry about re-fretting your guitar which is an expensive job and it better be done by someone very good if you don't want to f*ck up your guitar. I keep coming back to this day after day and I really dont know the songs. Today I realized that the reason I'm so drawn to it, is that this is a band that is performing at the peak of their powers. They are all locked in with each other, they know it, and they're having a blast, doing what they love.
Its freakin' cool to see Marty making us Metalheads smile from ear to ear. I saw him for the 1st time (solo) earlier in the year opening for Queensrÿche, and I've been a fan since his band "Hawaii", and then REALLY got into him and his good friend Jason Becker in *Cacophony* and their debut solo albums. But I didn't get to see Marty till he joined Megadeth, and saw the next 2 album tours. But to hear him finally play his solo material, it was a dream come true. Though, when he said they were going to do a track from his 1st album (Dragon Mistress), he asked the crowd; "ARE YOU READY!!!???" and I said outloud; "NOOOO!!!!! I'm not!!!", my 2 friends and the people around us started laughing 😊. - Thanks Marty for your awesome music \m/.
Marty is such a wizard..... ironic how he made more for thrash, than most players from the genre, who are actual metalheads :D Marty was never even that much interested in becoming metal guitarist...... but somehow ended up on the best thrash album of all time :D

Rock Fujiyama! Hell YEAH! 🤘🏼😁🤘🏼
Marty's world is in full bloom. Fusion of metal and Japanese Enka melodies and Anime songs. Beautiful melodies and positive vibes. I love it !

I hope that there will be a G3 concert with Marty Friedman and Kiko Loureiro. These guys brings so much more color in guitar music.
Never found kiko that interesting with megadeth can't think of a single standout solo he's good but no Marty tbh I thought Al pitrelli was far better.
