- This recipe is great for two things: cooking super succulent chicken, and impressing friends with your new french cooking techniques!
Just remember the key to the perfect chicken is to put your chicken into the poaching water while its still cold. Then bring it to a simmer SLOWLY! We took 25-30minutes to get to a simmer in this video. As soon as the water is simmering take your chicken out and let it rest (still inside its wrapping).
yeeew! Your going to love this one!

Hey.... Kuhnpashun, Im starting the chicken of in cold water so i can slowly cook the chicken.
As the water slowly heats up the chicken breasts temperature will slowly rise in temperature with the water, resulting in the chicken proteins being delicately cooked. the time may differ depending on the size of your chicken breast and the size of your pot of water. as long as you bring your pot of water to the simmer it will cook through with the residual heat and patients.... hope this helps :)
Hey Alex,
So bring the water (with chicken in it) to a simmer slowly so the chicken rises in temp at the same time as the water. So when your water reaches a simmer (around 80C) your chicken is should also be 80C therefore just cooked!
Now take it straight out and let rest (still wrapped) for a few minutes.
REMEMBER: bring the water to a simmer SLOWLY! :) we took around 25-30 from memory.
Cheers Mate! take a pic of your efforts and share on our facebook page!
Hey Oran Chen thanks mate I appreciate the support.. Suppose Im luck to do what I love .. If you have any recipes or questions about food shoot me a line on face book yew
5 years ago I commented. Ten years ago I watched it for the first time. Now today, I’m here to tell you again what this video means to me. The way Mark edited these masterpieces truly make you feel you’re their mate in the flat just witnessing these things happening. I love these videos. You two changed my life and honestly have saved it over the years with these recipes when I was broke. Some things never change. I miss this style of video and I hope that all the tv shows and interviews don’t change the core that is so beautiful and alive I’m these videos. Love you guys and the whole Bondi Harvest team. All of you I consider my family. Much love. See you again one day.
Hey darafeth Quinoa is a grain-like crop originally from the Sth America (Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador). Its really high in protein and other good stuff....
Hey yodiddlyo
all recipes are originals :) if you would like to send us a personal Facebook message i'll shoot you a step by step recipe :)
hey kiss the sky bright, yeah Im a professional, own a restaurant in bondi, Ive cook been trained and working in the industry for about 8 years.
Hey Bella,
if you don't want to use glad wrap.... you can use foil, give it a few layers just to make sure the water does not get in.
hey bravecat yeah did 4 years at culinary school.. and have owned my own restaurant for 4 years now ... thanks for watching mate
I don't think it's very good idea to use a piece of plastic wrap to cook your chicken in hot water?? maybe cheese cloth would be better for this sort of cooking method?
Just keep in another closed contained n leav it inside the steam shld b fine! No to plastics! But it was such a great idea to make that hotdog like chicken!
Thanks lisa! this is such a cool way to do chicken! a little bit of prep - but the results are totally worth it!
you could fry up some garlic, onion and baby spinach and role that into the chicken - it would be delicious!
You sure can - change the herd crust to what ever you like! I always like to have a mix of herds though :)
Totally safe putting the glad wrap (clingwrap) in the water. Thanks for watching subbing and SHARING!!!!
Hey thanks Paige mulligan give it a shot let me know how it goes send us some pics
yeah raw will work, just make sure you slice you onions and garlic nice and thin
cheers Cristina, if you have any recipes u want done me sure you let me know
Haha!!!! first proposal! thanks dehaute! hope you enjoy the recipe!
wow. that is something i need to make.
yew .... glad u loved it, if you got some picks post them up :)
Haha - no worries! Quinoa is easy - and sooo good for you! enjoy
Hey Thanks love getting feedback :)
I LOVE your videos! my sis sent me a link of your channel today and said I would love it. I am so glad that I did check it out! I love how you always cook outdoor with sunshine and the beach! Food you make is just special and healthy :) Thank you so much for making these amazing videos! You inspire me! ;)
your videos are beautiful :) i love food! i plan on going to culinary school after graduating from high school. can you give us some experiences you had there? did you go with experience in cooking or just had the desire to go into the food area?
I'm worried about that too! That's the only reason I've never tried sous vide or poaching my meat. Someone suggested to me to wrap in aluminum foil and then just bake it so it steams in its own juices. Not the same, but it does come out nice and juicy.
I'm a student, and I don't really have time to cook super fancy meals every day, so your recipes are perfect for me! fresh, healthy and super easy! I made this one for my roommates - and they loved it!
Thanks for the inspiration :)
Thank you for the cheeseless recipe :) Its very apreciated. And also thank you for teaching me the right way of cooking quinoa. my last attempt wasnt very successfull and i almost gave up. But i think im ready for a second try. You are awesome
I just came home after work and nearly ate myself into a food coma and this STILL made me hungry. you're genius at combining textures and flavors of food in a healthy way and always present it so scrumptiously haha. I'm a huge supporter! Many likes! x
Does anyone know if there's a step-by-step recipe for this written somewhere? And one that serves 4 people? I'm going to attempt to try this out on my very close-minded (when it comes to food) family. Hopefully they'll love it!
Hey! recent subbie. This looks awesome and dead simple. I was worried about the plastic going on the heat even with the foil, but it doesn't seem to be an issue. And Quinoa is a really excellent food. Gonna have to try this.
Ever so Grateful for your collab with Chloe Merollo, cause I came across you and this yummy salad! I will make it on thursday for my Finance :D
Thanks!
All the way from Egypt :)
Hey mate,
Might have missed it but how long should you leave the chicken in the water for after it has reached simmer and you have turned it off?
Going to give it a crack i think
Cheers
A suggestion: since you tell viewers to screencap the shopping list, some of who may want to print it out, please put it in black letters on a white background.
Good design!

next time i will my girl loved it and was impressed thanks

What Quinoa exactly? Is it a grain or a pasta? I couldn't tell. -_-
Regardless after watching this video I really want to go out and try it.
I just became addicted to your videos, just saw the tuna taco and the smashed pea bruschetta. Oh and the muesli looks absolutely wonderful.

my pleasure :) thanks for watching and giving it a try
No it's totally safe. :)
Maybe I'm just too paranoid. But it seems like the chicken wouldn't be done starting with cold water for only 25 mins?
Great recipe but sorry no plastic is safe.
