How to make Amazing Organic Chicken Breast and Quinoa Salad recipe Bondi Harvest

  • This recipe is great for two things: cooking super succulent chicken, and impressing friends with your new french cooking techniques!
    Just remember the key to the perfect chicken is to put your chicken into the poaching water while its still cold. Then bring it to a simmer SLOWLY! We took 25-30minutes to get to a simmer in this video. As soon as the water is simmering take your chicken out and let it rest (still inside its wrapping).
    yeeew! Your going to love this one!

    Hey.... Kuhnpashun, Im starting the chicken of in cold water so i can slowly cook the chicken.
    As the water slowly heats up the chicken breasts temperature will slowly rise in temperature with the water, resulting in the chicken proteins being delicately cooked. the time may differ depending on the size of your chicken breast and the size of your pot of water. as long as you bring your pot of water to the simmer it will cook through with the residual heat and patients.... hope this helps :)

  • @bondiharvest
    @bondiharvest  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey Alex,
    So bring the water (with chicken in it) to a simmer slowly so the chicken rises in temp at the same time as the water. So when your water reaches a simmer (around 80C) your chicken is should also be 80C therefore just cooked!
    Now take it straight out and let rest (still wrapped) for a few minutes.
    REMEMBER: bring the water to a simmer SLOWLY! :) we took around 25-30 from memory.
    Cheers Mate! take a pic of your efforts and share on our facebook page!

    5 years ago I commented. Ten years ago I watched it for the first time. Now today, I’m here to tell you again what this video means to me. The way Mark edited these masterpieces truly make you feel you’re their mate in the flat just witnessing these things happening. I love these videos. You two changed my life and honestly have saved it over the years with these recipes when I was broke. Some things never change. I miss this style of video and I hope that all the tv shows and interviews don’t change the core that is so beautiful and alive I’m these videos. Love you guys and the whole Bondi Harvest team. All of you I consider my family. Much love. See you again one day.

    Hey Bella,
    if you don't want to use glad wrap.... you can use foil, give it a few layers just to make sure the water does not get in.

    I don't think it's very good idea to use a piece of plastic wrap to cook your chicken in hot water?? maybe cheese cloth would be better for this sort of cooking method?

    • @ssivakami
      @ssivakami 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just keep in another closed contained n leav it inside the steam shld b fine! No to plastics! But it was such a great idea to make that hotdog like chicken!

    you could fry up some garlic, onion and baby spinach and role that into the chicken - it would be delicious!

    I'm worried about that too! That's the only reason I've never tried sous vide or poaching my meat. Someone suggested to me to wrap in aluminum foil and then just bake it so it steams in its own juices. Not the same, but it does come out nice and juicy.

    Hey! recent subbie. This looks awesome and dead simple. I was worried about the plastic going on the heat even with the foil, but it doesn't seem to be an issue. And Quinoa is a really excellent food. Gonna have to try this.

    Going to give it a crack i think
