Super nice conversion, so did you have to run new cable housing etc. to reach the brakes and shifters? I want to do the same thing to my bike but I am definitely very new to this and have never really worked on a bike before. I want to learn though and do these things myself
Appreciate you! And i didnt run new cable housing. Usually cabling runs a little longer on drop bars than needed for flat bars. I actually had to trim a bit of the housing so it wasnt excessively long on the flats. You should check out @mull3tmechanic ! He's got great vids of him working on bikes and explaining the process!
Do you chest mount your go pro for the trail footage? Trying to figure out how to get the cockpit view on my own trail recordings! Sweet videos. Very inspiring for me and my type of riding! I share you guys with all my bike buddies :) happy new year!!
Thank you for watching and sharing! And yup, I use the chest mount for trail riding but I mount the camera upside down so it gets more of the bars. Happy New Year!
If I knew i would mostly be on single track then most likely. But for more road and gravel touring with a splash of technical riding here and there, I would def go drop bars. More hand positions for more comfort!
@@crustbikes I'm almost always on the Paulinskill or Sussex Branch and Kittatinny is one of my favorites. I'm close to Allamuchy but no full squish or fat bike for that lol
Great tuneage too . Crust evasion and Chilean hardcore made my day .
South America has/had some of the punk bands for sureeeee

I definitely clicked thinking you were about to hit some sick drops onto flat ground, lol. Still enjoyed the transformation anyway! Cheers
LMAOOOO ahhhh i can see how the title can be deceiving. I guess perfect clickbait now hahaaa! Glad you enjoyed
Great video. I just finished swapping out the drops on my Pass Hunter for some Granola Bars. Happy New Year
Nice! Flats and sweeps are nice for more control and are kind to the lower back haha!
Should have used alcohol i would think the wd 40 wouldn't evaporate?
wd40 has been working for me (kinda) but maybe next time ill give the acohol a try. never gave it a shot
Nice job on the bar swap!

Would you consider using flat bars for touring?
