you guys really having fun!
Is that a 137 or a 139 front rack?
God I wish I had picked one of these up or they would do a second run.
I cannot fully express the gratitude I have for you taking us along on this journey. This is what it’s about!!!!
Been curious what brake calipers you run?
Now I know why Ron’s bags are sold out everywhere! These homies are stacking fabs-chests like a boomer stacking TP during Covid
Great, after this review I have understood that I need this bars for my upcoming build
Where do i send my sponsor me tape?! Looks fun as fuck!

Hey Garrett, thanks in advance if you ever circle back and answer some questions here.. My main ride for the past 23 years has been an '85 Stumpjumper Sport, in a awesome cadmium mangoish orange color! If you are familiar with my bike, maybe you understand my interest in the Wombat. Your Wombat seems like a relative. Since I have often used my Stumpy on tours , I am the guy who stretches the range of a mountain bike. I like a slacker geometry.. like my Stumpy and the Wombat. I really like that the Wombat has so much clearance and is also made for 650b's. I'm just wondering about weight for touring? Is the Wombat every bit the bus that my '85 Stumpjumper is? Or is it possibly a bit trimmer and lighter weight? What is the frame weight/ Have you weighed a geared one built up? Someday I'm grabbing a steel adventure touring bike with lots of clearance .. I'd love to leave that mid 80's weight behind though.. the Wombat is on my consider list. Thanks
Fingerboarding and bike touring, fuck yeah
Spurcycle bell...
Such beautiful chaos
Trim the cables and swap their orientation relative to the stem. Yeesh. I used to think the owner of Crust knew his stuff...not so sure anymore
hahaha ok
so dope! what gear ratio were you running for this?
I WANT AN EVASION
I want you to buy one. haha
Goated songs
You biked from Chesterton, Indiana to Grand Island, Michigan.
cool bike and sweater
Nice job! New set up looks sweet. Geek question incoming …what was the Brooks saddle model you swapped out? Thx.
Thank you, its a fun setup! And i believe its a brooks team pro special, but not 100% sure
Hey dood what drop bar is on yer bike
Shaka bar :)
What do yall film with? Go pro and a strap?
Yup gopro 12 i think it is. And riding shots i use the bite attachment. I use the chest mount for just day ride vids. They're a pain to use and carry on a bike tour
Yeah, muscles need the oxygen too. Part of the whole thing with EPO. Blood carries more oxygen where it's needed. You're going to be a tud when you get baqck to sea level
Been back at sea level a lil too long again. Ive reverted back to a weakling LOL
love it. good work team!
Thank you! Happy New Year
good tunes👍🏼
Thank you!
Great year of touring footage. Noice! ❤
2024 was quite a ride! Happy New year!
Happy New Year !!
Happy New Year! hope ya had a good one
beautiful
Thank you! One of the best years of my life
This is the one
Tu selección musical atrapa mi corazón!!!
JAJA! el punk de sudamerica es el mejor!!
Did you get coal rolled at all? In Idaho it always happens to me
Suprisingly I did not, I think i only had maybe one bad interaction with a car this trip
This route looks sick. Would love to come out from philly and ride!
Hell yeah Ryan, come out!
Cool music
South American punk ftw
Not so different than my V2 scapegoat on 29x2.8s. A ton of fun I’m sure out there
Sounds like a freakinggg beast!
@@crustbikessquidbillies style hipster monster truck
Killing it homie!!! You rock!!! 🤘 much love ❤
Appreciate you! Happy New Year :)
Looks like parts of north jersey where i ride 👍
Hell yeahhhh, north jersey is where its at
@@crustbikes I'm almost always on the Paulinskill or Sussex Branch and Kittatinny is one of my favorites. I'm close to Allamuchy but no full squish or fat bike for that lol
Nice job on the bar swap!
Thank you! The new bars feel amazing
Do you chest mount your go pro for the trail footage? Trying to figure out how to get the cockpit view on my own trail recordings! Sweet videos. Very inspiring for me and my type of riding! I share you guys with all my bike buddies :) happy new year!!
Thank you for watching and sharing! And yup, I use the chest mount for trail riding but I mount the camera upside down so it gets more of the bars. Happy New Year!
You holding out on us with those tires 😢
Lol they're 26+ wtb rangers. They can be found on the site!
Super nice conversion, so did you have to run new cable housing etc. to reach the brakes and shifters? I want to do the same thing to my bike but I am definitely very new to this and have never really worked on a bike before. I want to learn though and do these things myself
Appreciate you! And i didnt run new cable housing. Usually cabling runs a little longer on drop bars than needed for flat bars. I actually had to trim a bit of the housing so it wasnt excessively long on the flats. You should check out @mull3tmechanic ! He's got great vids of him working on bikes and explaining the process!
@@crustbikes Thanks so much dude! I really appreciate it!
What size rim (id) Tires look killer.. 👍I mounted a set on 40id and they don’t look as cool as yours
im running 26x2.8. tires are wtb rangers i think and im not sure of the rim
1st track: Chilean Joe Strummer?😊
LOL its a peruvian band. one of the best imo
Need the red tiger shifter mane
Hahahaa im more of a blue tiger guy myself
Tire pressure looks too high
Most def was
Would you consider using flat bars for touring?
If I knew i would mostly be on single track then most likely. But for more road and gravel touring with a splash of technical riding here and there, I would def go drop bars. More hand positions for more comfort!
JERSEY
CMONNN DAN, YOU KNOW WE GOT IT LIKE THAT!!
Should have used alcohol i would think the wd 40 wouldn't evaporate?
wd40 has been working for me (kinda) but maybe next time ill give the acohol a try. never gave it a shot
@@crustbikesstuff zip ties in the grips!! then pull them out when theyre in position 🫡
Great tuneage too . Crust evasion and Chilean hardcore made my day .
South America has/had some of the punk bands for sureeeee
I definitely clicked thinking you were about to hit some sick drops onto flat ground, lol. Still enjoyed the transformation anyway! Cheers
LMAOOOO ahhhh i can see how the title can be deceiving. I guess perfect clickbait now hahaaa! Glad you enjoyed
Great video. I just finished swapping out the drops on my Pass Hunter for some Granola Bars. Happy New Year
Nice! Flats and sweeps are nice for more control and are kind to the lower back haha!
