    I've been debating what Clutch Master clutch to go with for my Galant VR4. Making around 350 to the wheels right now. My previous clutch made my clutch pedal a nightmare to drive. You're video totally helped me affirm my decision to go with the FX300. Thank you!!

    I came into S2000 ownership from an AE86 and man it's so funny to see how different servicing is. WIth AE86s it's like, "yeah nah, you gotta upgrade this bushing here, it's 80s tech might as well upgrade" or "Eh, it's probably better than factory anyways because 80s" and with S2000s it's like "HONDA FACTORY IS LOVE, HONDA FACTORY IS LIFE!"

      @@LHTPerformance I had the installer inspect it and take it for a drive and they believe it's related to the clutch and compares it to clutch buzz seen on earlier AP1s due to the disk design. It was installed with Urea grease and everything is torqued to Honda specs. I was curious if this was typical for this clutch or if it's abnormal.

    • @LHTPerformance
      @LHTPerformance  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      My FB6 SIck Brah It depends how you drive, if you try not to slip the clutch it will last along time. Once the clutch is engaged, if it doesn’t slip, there’s basically no wear.

    • @LHTPerformance
      @LHTPerformance  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, But the Allen bolt is very soft either way. Sometimes these do not come out as the hole is open and the weather gets on the back side of the bolt making it rust. If the bolts do come out rough, we replace them with the better bolts.

    If you want some constructive criticism? At 7:08 sitting on the side bolster like that = tears to my eyes. Either fully sit IN the car or not - especially a big fella like that.

      You are completely wrong. You'll see his leg is supported by his foot on the lift. We know a lot about being careful around the bolsters. I dear say we work on more S2000s than most. But thanks for your opinion.

      That's what makes TH-cam great. Bash before proof. Thanks anyway.

      Based one 150+ clutchs making 400whp we’ve had less than 2% failures. We share our actual findings, not what ‘ my boy at the car show’ says. I’ve been installing Performance Honda clutchs for 25+ years, I’ve installed almost every brand of clutch. 👍🏻

    Spec Stage 3+....rated to 600+TQ....THE BEST PERFORMANCE CLUCTH WITH OEM PEDAL FEEL.. the Spec 3+ Shi$’s on these FX clutches. Not saying they’re bad, just saying Spec is hands down better.
    Have one in my J32a3 swap pushing well into the 4’s and now going boost (600whp+) which this clutch will easily hold

      HalferLand Video's Well, I’m fairly sure I’ve done more S2000s and more clutch’s than anyone. I’ve also driven almost every clutch. My Data comes from S2000s. Thanks for your comment, but come back when you’ve installed at least 60 making 400whp. Then I may take your claims and recommendations with a bit value. No hard feelings.

      LMAO...figured a slight condescending response would come from you, you spew that personality in all your videos. You're also correct, you've done far more "installs" on S2000's, I've actually drove 5+ cars locally that all had the Kraft Works SC on it and was installed by you guys.Three had FX3 and one had FX4... I've also drove multiple other vehicles (not just S2000's) with the FX3... So my "claims" actually do come with a bit of "Value"....whether you take it or leave it is your call (think we all know what your choice is). The FX3 pedal is actually too light for my liking, again just a personal opinion. It feels mushy over time, especially on track days. I figured the maybe the slave and fluid were to blame or just getting to hot, but it was like this on every single car (not just S2000) I've drove. The Spec clutch also laughs at 400whp....how about 600tq+...the stuff the actually counts and what the clutch has to put up with. Have you installed and drove multiple vehicles making 500+wtq with both clutch??? How about daily driven each clutch,again on multiple paltforms?? Come back when you've done that with at least 5 different vehicles in multiple situations (daily, track, AutoX), then I may take your claims and recommendations with a bit of value ;)
      I'm very much like you as I base my recommendations and suggestions on real life experience, again just as you are. My "claim" may fall on death ears with you since you see yourself as the "king" of S2000's..... but I back my "claims" through multiple platforms not just one that I've bolt a bunch of stuff to over the years. Keep up the good work.... I may swing by one day for a titanium exhaust.....
      Of course, no hard feelings...

      HalferLand Video's Thanks for the response, and in a cool way. Stick what works for you and what you feel good about. That’s what’s important here. I sell what I personally use. I won’t say the brand, but there’s one I make double the profit on resale but the problem is , the clutch sucks. I’d rather make less money and know what I’m selling is what I believe is the best.
      Come on by, I’m sure we’ll chat Cars. 👍🏻

      For sure, we can see through the videos the detail and care you put in. I have seen the work in person, top notch. It's really a preference at this point, like I said we are both basing our suggestions off experience which I feel is the best thing. Now some others people experiences may be way different then yours, even the way they perceive that experience. In either case, you cant go wrong with either clutch. Both have OEM pedal feel, high clamping forces and well built.... it's just up to the customer now on what they want.
