From a logical stand point I don't think that's a practical solution/advice.
Many women cannot find a husband( for various reasons ) who are single.
Simply put many men will not choose those women to be their first wife ( they consider them a second or a third option for marriage).
And this will limit the number of potential partners these women can be with and obviously time is not in favor of women 😅 cus you know the older the women get the less pretty she gets and the less chances of having kids.
So instead of looking for only single men it will be much better to expand her pool of potential husbands candidates by looking for married men who will be willing to have a second or a third wife while also taking care of her , she gets to save time and get married to a man who is willing to have a family with her and be responsible for her while the man gets another wife and a partner who will fulfill whatever objective that he want to accomplish ( whether that be another women to have sex , to have more kids without burdening his first wife, or he want to form a connection with the second wife family)
Honestly speaking marriage is just a contract and mostly it's transactional and we just put love on it to make it as if it's something nice, a man marry a women foe sex and companionship and kids while women mainly marry for security ( whether it's financial, physical or emotional).

I deeply love my husband. He is kind, strong and loving. He shows his respect for me by listening to me openly. And I respect him for the man he is. If I ever witnessed him showing affections to another woman it would hurt me so badly that I don’t think I could ever be attached to him again. I don’t understand polygamy. i knew a woman who had blood cancer she knew she was not going to survive . She made her husband marry a second wife and helped him search for her . The second wife was two times divorced . my friend the first wife died and second wife helped with her funeral bath and everything . The man loved his first wife fully and also now i came to know he has an amazing life with second wife. My friend's son calls his step mother "mama " and loves and respects her . Second wife was unable to bear childern to first two husbands who divorced her . She told me that she is more than happy to take care of "her" son .

Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) first wife was Khadija(may Allah be satisfied with her) also known as 'Tahira- the pure', older than him by 15 years, widowed twice, had children from the previous 2 marriages, married her when she was 40 and he was 25, the time when men's hormones are raging , and did not marry anyone while being married to her for 25 years. He had five children with her and did not have more children than this with any other wife. The year she and Prophet's(peace be upon him) uncle passed away has been called the 'Year of grief'. He lost two of his best friends that year. He used to mention her a lot, like a lot even after getting so many wives later in his life.He clearly told Aisha, his most beloved wife after Khadija passed away the importance Hazrat Khadija had in his life and Aisha(may Allah be pleased with her), retorted an incident of her jelousy towards Khadija herself. Once the blessed Messenger (S.A.W.) mentioned Khadīja (R.A.) before Ayesha (R.A.), the latter responded: “She was not but a such and such of an old lady, and Allah replaced her with a better one for you.” He replied: “Indeed Allah did not grant me better than her; she accepted me when people rejected me, she believed in me when people doubted me, she shared her wealth with me when people deprived me, and Allah granted me children only through her.” Ayesha (R.A.) says, after this incident, “I learnt to keep quiet, whenever Khadīja’s name was mentioned by Muhammad.” (Sahih Muslim)By the way, since he was a prophet so he did not marry so many times for fulfilling his own wishes, but only on the command of Allah, other than in the case of Khadija(R.A.), who undoubtedly was chosen by Allah for Prophet (S .A .W.) as his first partner and first Muslim in Islam. Most of his wives after her were widows, divorced women, slaves etc. So that the coming generations would not treat such women as outcasts. And in the Quran, Allah has stated clearly in Surah Nisa, verse 3, "If you fear you might fail to give orphan women their ˹due˺ rights ˹if you were to marry them˺, then marry other women of your choice-two, three, or four. But if you are afraid you will fail to maintain justice, then ˹content yourselves with˺ one or those ˹bondwomen˺ in your possession. This way you are less likely to commit injustice."
Islam RESTRICTED polygamy, especially in the times when it was practiced a lot in ancient Arabia and other places.
And polygamy was introduced for the security of women's needs, not for men playing around with them as they wish and using religion to their advantage. Allah is the All-knowing. He knows what is in a person's heart. So, if there are men who just cannot stay with a single woman their whole lives, intead of falling into the sin of fornication and then running away from responsibility, they are allowed to take wives up till four, make ALL of them happy, take care of their financial problems, needs, needs of children from them, give them separate houses, pay all their expenses and ... Be just and make use of equity. How many men can do this, especially in this day and age, u tell me?

Islam allows polygamy but with conditions, and one of them is to equal between your wives in everything except for love (because that’s impossible) so it’s a huge responsibility let alone providing for the wives and the children. Since very young age I've been through many trials that other people usually dont so thats why i believe im very valuable to Allah swt and being muslim for me is all about my bond with Him and trying to follow the rules as much as i can. So seeing this where men in the comments see us primarily as someone they will have sex with is disturbing. Its almost as nowadays men dont see us as human beings, who have their own complex thoughts and emotions, interests, likes and dislikes is disturbing to me.
My parents are still married and they love each other and i really cant imagine that for my father there is another woman even though my mother as every human has her flaws. I agree with you. in my country SOME men used polygamy as an excuse to follow "sunnah" (tricking women using Islam ) but they are not following the fard - such as giving full nafaqah to the wife/wives. what these type of men did was marry a woman with a carreer so he split the responsibilities (supposed to be his) with his wife like, wife pay for groceries and children, he pays for house etc. Such men will not feel the burden of responsibility, therefore when they lust for other women, they chose career women who already has a car, a house but only need a halal partner for that particular reason. this way they don't need to provide for the other wife but just their "service".
I not only blame the men in this scenario but the women too bcoz they allowed sharing of responsibility from the beginning of marriage. once we changed the role which Allah has set, there will be big problems but most people refuse to accept bcoz the wives contribution from her earnings has become norm in the modern society . what I saw around my circle of friends, when the husband lost the job, the wife become the breadwinner. husband didn't even bother to find other job cos the available jobs are below his education level. I disrespect such men.
Those men who could afford multiple wives at the same time afford to carry burden of responsibility are mostly very rich. they could provide the women with everything, but beware these men will look for young women to fulfil their lust and the young women are usually gold diggers who do not mind destroying another woman's happiness.

Career women are usually older and have less of a chance of a high quality husband and hence why they agree to polygyny in the first place, given that they know that the man isn't very rich and that they don't have better options, there is nothing wrong with them agreeing to help a bit with the house expenses, since the alternative is staying at their parents home and becoming childless, there is only so many men to go around, it's not even wrong islamically.
