I did not know one could sleeve these old cylinders. No idea how, of course. From the looks of it you have seriously good bore gauges. Well done as always, Dale.

Hi James, you can sleeve almost anything, check out the sleeve install I just did to the lawn boy. I've never seen one done, but looks like I have successfully done it.

In the bike shop, we removed Z1300 engines by hand ( two of us). I can lift a TS250 engine with my, ah , one hand.😂 Thanks for posting. Great bike. I have a bit of experience with early TS250's, and reed valve ones too.

Nice job, I am a weak old guy, not even going to try to remove 4 cylinder engines. TS250 is enough for me. They are great bikes.

My TS250 also had the air filter cage remaining. I also had a handful of corn in the air-box.

It is amazing what you find in those air cleaner boxes at times.

Nice Bridgeport Mill :-) I wish I could tour the rest of your shop there. I’m a machinist, and I’m guessing you are too.

Hey thanks Tom, I am not a machinist by any stretch. Grew up a farmer......we fixed everything. I really enjoy the vintage bikes that I grew up on. Still like wrenching on them and like to fix what I can get. I also like to show what most don't ever see when they drop there cylinder off at the bike shop or machine shop to be bored or otherwise repaired. I have a few Machinists that watch my channel, they are always keeping me on my toes. I learn a lot from them along the way.

Hi dale ,finally took delivery of the ts, the guy assured me it had been rebored, and a new piston fitted , you guessed it ,he hadnt, its got a 1.5 oversize in it ,do you know if they do a 2.00mm ?

Hi Hugh, yes Wiseco makes a 72 mm piston for the TS250 the part number is 380M07200. Thats what I put in the one Im currently working on. I got mine from Dennis Kirk. Just call them they may have to order it. I had ordered from 3 different vendors on Ebay and none of them had it. Why do they advertise them if they dont have them? Anyway that was my adventure, hope yours is not as stressful as mine. Let me know if I can be any further assistance. Thanks for following along.

Hi there, I picked up a used 1st over cylinder off ebay a couple years back. As far as I know Wiseco still makes new piston kits, all the way to .080 over I think.
